I LOVE Her character development in ME2.
And I hope it grows even further in ME3.

I would have preferred Miranda to stay an ice queen for most if not the entire game. It would have been fun having a rival of sorts, for both my paragon and renegades. Hostility can be quite fun if its done right, everyone getting friendly gets old after a while. At least Shepard can still argue with her over who is in command, and the more renegade romance was awesome. No offense, but the paragon one just makes Shepard come across as a total kiss-ass.

Not me.
I love her attitude at the begining of the game. But what made me like Miranda even more is the different aspects of the character. The ruthless and pragmatic one but also the softer and more emotional one we see later in the game.
As for the romance, I prefer the Paragon one (except the stupid joke during the last conversation).
There are some things I can't imagine not telling her, like :
"The best thing he did was to put you on my squad."
"You give your father too much credit. Yeah, he gave you gifts, but you can be proud of what you've done with them."

I didn't think she necessarily changed, that much over the course of the game. Her opinion remained the same on things, not everyone's Shepards agreed with her in the game, but those who did usually had same opinion on many things. Therefore it might seem that she changed.

But I also like to play Paragon and have disagrements with her, sometimes it's more interesting.

One thing that really makes Miranda stand out to me is how she is the closest to being Shepards equal. Part of it is her being the XO, but its more than that. With her it feels more like Miranda is working with Shepard rather than working for him. I don't think this is really there with any other characters serving aboard the Normandy in either game, well except for Anderson but he is Shepards mentor in a way and leaves pretty quickly.

Not for the whole game, but yes, she should've stayed distant for longer. I also like most of the Renegade romance options. The kiss and "stop smiling, damn it" is priceless.HogarthHughes 3 wrote...

Absolutely. Miranda isn't just part of Shepard's team, for long stretches it appears as if the others are Miranda's and Shepard's team. And that's how I want it to be in ME3 - Miranda with competence and agency independent from Shepard, with her at Shepard's side instead of just following, and Miranda and Shepard complementing each other to make a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.HogarthHughes 3 wrote...

I also consider Miranda the equal of Shepard.
But I don't have the same opinion about the line "The best thing he did was to put you on my squad."
Just before, she depreciates herself, and to me it's important that she knows that my Shepard needs her and he couldn't have succeed without her.
I never felt that the reason of this line was to recall Miranda that she's working for Shepard.

Whichever our other disagreements, I have yet to see a Miranda fan who doesn't want that.

It's kinda sad, when one of the main complaints about a romance is about the player's character's voice in the romantic conversations. If it only was a small complaint, it would be alright, but it's sometimes really annoying.
OI well, something that will hopefully get better.

Well, they won't change the voice actor ...

Lack of pictures in the last few pages.
The fact, that there's something to complain about, not that someone is complaining about it. I've felt annoyed by the VA since I first romanced Miri.HogarthHughes 3 wrote...

Kinda sad that people complain about it, or kinda sad that the voice acting is lackluster enough to merit such complaints? With Miranda they at least give two options, many of the other romances don't always have that and instead wind up with just:
- be nice/flirty
- be an angry jerk
With Miranda Shepard can be kind of a jerk (not in an angry or malicious way however), but still flirty!

We know she will be. We only worry how. Though things are looking a little better now than a week ago.Phaedon wrote...
