You have to be joking.....
Oh no! [name of worshiped character here] isn't a squadmate! I am not buying a game I have waited 6 years to play because of that.
Yes but if the characters i put time and effort into aren't treated in a way i consider appropriate then mass effect isn't the game i originally thought it was going to be.
I started out playing a trilogy where my choices had serious consequences and what i did affect the experience i have, if bioware cameo out characters in the final act of that trilogy, characters i put time and effort into to get to know and who i deliberately ensured survived a SM, then shouldn't i have the option to say no thanks this isn't for me.
Bioware got around not using me1 crew as squadmates in me2 because they said they held them back for me3, which it looks like they did, with the me2 crew that option won't be open so a large part of my experience could be denied to me. If that is indeed the case then as a customer i'm perfectly entitled to say screw you i'm keeping my money even though i originally intended to purchase, play and enjoy all 3 games.
My cash, my choice, what i do with it or whether i follow through in something i say i may do is nothing to do with anyone else, its an opinion freely expressed and its up to me whether i choose to stick to that opinion or not.
I've said countless times if they screw over certain characters in me3 i for one won't buy it, whether i'm telling the truth or trying to make a point is no concern of anyones and in the end i'll pretty much be the only one who'll know if i was being a hypocrite or if i was entirely honest.
