See what I mean.

De-lurk.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Re-lurk.

Regarding Miranda and ME3, I'm optimistic about her role in the galaxy and cynical about her role in the squad. Make sense?

Well, Casey is saying something like: "the characters are too busy to join your squad, but we have the ME1 characters back and the awesome Vega"

Well, it does sort of turn her into a really twisted version of the Chick, because she's now his moral compass.

Not much of the social conscience and conventional morality usually associated with the trope, and that makes all the difference for me.

And before you ask, I kept the base. Miranda didn't say a word.

;)

I also got the mutual saving each other. One thing I really loved about this playthrough was that it really felt like they were joint leaders of the SM.

Ah...I love this scene. Co-commanders of the mission, yep! The other one, too.

WHAT?! Fvck the ME1 characters. They are worth nothing compared to Miri.

Damn this was all in favor for the ME1 fanatics all along! :crying:

Excuse me, I'm going to go nuke Team Dextro. Anybody mind?

Beyond that, it depends entirely on what Miranda's busy doing. I'd be much more forgiving of her working against Cerberus than rescuing Oriana.

The "awesome Vega" better damn well be able to "awesome headbutt" a Reaper in one-shot, otherwise he's going to be "awesomely ejected" out of the awesome side of an awesome airlock awesomely breathing the awesome vacuum as he's awesomely accelerated through the Omega 4 awesome relay into the awesome bloody galactic core!

...awesome!:police:

*Edited for 200% more awesome.

Well, what I said is an exageration, but he is avoiding the topic of the ME2 characters...

Well, I don't think I'm going to like Vega, but on his own merits. He seems like a human Garrus. Any resentment is toward Team Dextro.

Not at all. Make a video.

Definitely. If she has a big impact on the main picture, I might be able to forgive Bioware a lesser screen presence. But it has to be really big.

If you got that from today's Q&A, he didn't differentiate between the ME1 and ME2 characters at all. So what's the exact quote please. And if it's really not that bad, I demand an apology for causing us all a heart attack. :P

Again Tali and Garrus aren't any more to blame than new characters. Though I suppose I understand the therapeutic value, seeing as how we can't get on hands on Vega just yet.

My position on ME3 until further notice:

Of course they're not to blame. They're pixels. But they've already had two games and they're actually more easily killed than Miranda. Making them full squad again proves that BW could make anyone full squad, but are choosing these two in particular.

It was just sarcasm, don't take it too seriusly.

And i don't think that killing Garrus and Tali will make any difference.

Yes but if you look at real world reasons, they've been around longer hence have accumulated more fans and a higher percentage of those fans are rabid.

Fans are to blame, those buggers.

I always have playtrhoughts where thet are alive. I have an exiled Tali, I was romancing her until I dump her for Miranda. Now I wanna se what will she do if I can use the migrant fleet as cannon fodder, or taking priority of my geth allies instead of the quarians.

Have to say i don't get Casey's we won't tell you about the squaddies because that would be spoilers and yet they came out and confirmed Tali & Garrus from the get go.

They did the same about the ME1 LIs before ME2, which is why I'm so cynical.

*is starting to think it may be a good idea for a couple of his characters to kill off Tali n Garrus during the SM*

Though, truth be told I know I won't do that...though Tali is definetely canon fodder for that mission since I always use Kasumi as my tech specialist( which in a way makes her more useful in my party than Zaeed ever could be).

And on the subject of Vega...he will effectively be Normandy furrniture in my ME 3 playthroughs like Ash for the most part( except I actually will use Ash since she'll be all aboput DPS n him tanking...), so I guess in that instance Ash n maybe my femshep's/Liara can use him as eyecandy while I'm off with my squaddies stopping the reapers...

When I hear "the awesome Vega" all I can think of is Vega talking like The Dude from the Big Lebowski.

Mmmm... too much talking about the ME1 squadies...

I'll make one more playthrough and I'll be thinking in this.

- Name: Casval Shepard (the name is from Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam, my favorite anime character).
- Spacer/ruthless (Shep hasn't talked with his family since Torfan)
- He respects the Alliance, but hates the Earth and his inhabitans (he says that they are trapped by Earth's gravity).
- He'll be a renegade or renegon.
- In ME2 he will lose all the respect that he had in the Alliance, seeing how they are more worried protecting Aliens and Earth instead the young colonies.

And about the romance, there wont be a ME1 romance (he will be romancing Ash, but he will reject her when the Normandy is grounded). In ME2 the LI will be Miranda (of course xD), doing the paragon path (no kiss, and making the promise). I'll reject the engine room offer, waiting something more serious after coming back alive (as he promised).
