Just read your excerpt. Interesting setup. And Kaidan as a Councilor, LOL. Only Miranda and Liara have a family? That's something I cannot wrap my mind around, I'm sorry to say.

I'm surprisingly resistant to Liara/Feron as well. Alternate universe me wants Liara all to himself.
This scene:

Coupled with his sacrifice later on and the fact that Liara took down the bloody Shadow Broker just because of Feron's memory. I'm rooting for this pairing.

Kelly/Jack? Really? I remember Kelly saying she's scared of Jack.
It's true and she'd need to get over it but Kelly tends to want to make people who suffered feel better and she looks completely past looks. I think Jack needs someone like her on her life.

I beleive they said Jack is more mature in ME3 but I do agree she could use some talking to by Kelly that is IF she doesn't crush her in a "blink".
I always considered Jack and Miranda's biotics were as equally as powerful as each others as they've both had some-kind of boost.

Miranda may be more skilled in her biotic use however. She's probably had proper training instead of "cage fights" like Jack's.

Where did that happen? At the end of her recruitment mission? I see the point refering to Jack being unskilled unlike Miranda in use of biotic.naledgeborn wrote...
Not the way she's depicted in cutscene land. She takes down 3 YMIRs. Then She does a biotic back flip 25 feet in the air while simultaneously slamming two mercs to the ground. Samara struggles to pull a skycar and she's a trained Justicar. So, yeah I say a Matriarch.

Think about it Jack is only as powerful as she is because Cerberus did all those things to her. Shepard was completley rebuilt by Cerberus. They pumped billions of credits into Shepart I'm sure that if he's an Adept than they would have incorperated everything they did to Jack as welll as add new technology to make him even stronger.
I always look at Jack as an Alpha test subject and Shepard is the Beta subject.

Elementary, my dear naledge. Cutscene power combined with making a character look badass when you first meet them compared with a bit'o' Starkiller syndrome.
Besides it's not clear that asari gain significantly in power based on age alone so I would say at best on the lower edge of mediocre for an asari biotic.

What would "more skilled" be exactly?naledgeborn wrote...
No, Jack is the most powerful human biotic. I put her at over 9000 and around a Matriarch's level of biotic stamina and durability.

She can control her powers better than Jack. Jack can probably rip a semi in half, Miranda can juggle 8 chairs at onece. Style over substance type of thing.
No doubt Mr. Lawson had her tutored by Asari mercenaries.

On a bit of an off-topic note am I the only one that thinks Shepard is the most powerful human Biotic if he's an Adept?

Shepard is a bit of an X because s/he can be up to 6 different class of soldiers with different specializations. But yeah if there were a canon Shepard that was a biotic you'd have a point.
I say somewhere between Jack and Gillian.

Seeing how she can't mantain that biotic bubble I'm going to go ahead and say Jack is better. Sure Miranda might be able to juggle 8 chairs but I'd rather someone be able to just hold them all in the air at the same time.naledgeborn wrote...

Oh yeah I agree. It's the difference between a pistol and a rocket lancher. 9/10 the rocket launcher will do a better job even without the heat-seeking.

Xenophilia taken up to eleven. Having sex with a nonhuman makes me shake my head. Having children with one makes the world collapse around me. Plus I hate the asari species concept exactly for their omnisexuality and for this concept of mind sex, and also they're mind-controlling sexual parasites. So this triggers almost all my ME-related berserk buttons. Sorry if this overshadows my appreciation of the plot of your story, but that's just how it is. I was physically taken aback when I read that part.jtav wrote...

Too bad you didn't continue your Miranda/Kaidan story. I liked that for more reasons than one.

Also we cannot compare humans to asari. IIRC, asari don't even need implants. The strength of a human biotic depends on the bioamps and implants as much as the configuration of eezo nodes in the body and possibly some attribute of the nervous system. I have some ideas about how humans can become as strong as asari, but none of the humans we know even have the potential for now.

Meh, Reeger's mine. Casey was the only reason I stuck with Chuck as long as I did.
Am I a horrible person for wanting Reeger on the squad in the event that Tali didn't make it through the SM?
