I'm not completely convinced it isn't elaborate fanfic.

You don't think it's true? Why didn't you say so?

Personally, I'd like to be able to come to this thread until the release date in the U.S so, I'd prefer if there were no spoilers.
With that being said, this isn't a spoiler-free section. Perhaps, we could mark the spoilers VERY CLEARLY?

So even if the romance ends with "They rode into the sunset in each other's arms, blissfully talking nursery color schemes"
Shepard: Red and white, it should be red and white.
Miranda: Nonsense, black and gold.
Shepard: Well, at least we can agree on one thing.
Miranda: Not f*cking blue.

I'm opposed to the PM idea because this is the spoiler section. I'd revive the old thread for non-spoiler discussion.
Well, whatever you guys think... I personally want to know, so it won't bother me.
Edit: Well, I've seen them. Interesting.

Regarding the Normandy: Those label it as simply as ship are missing the point I think. The Normandy is a symbol, much like Shepard himself, of the spearhead in the fight against the Reapers and the glimmer of hope that we may come out of this not totally boned. And yes in the eyes of fans the Normandy is Shepard's ship just as much as the Millenium Falcon is Han Solo's. Wouldn't tell him to get a new ship now would you? If you did you might quickly find yourself resolving the "who shot first" scenario personally.
Actually it's a neat idea to portray Shepard as having that sort of attachment to the ship post ME3. In the games it doesn't matter because it's always built/rebuilt for you as state of the art. But I wouldn't mind seeing something set a couple of hundred years in the future, Shepard is on his own and the Normandy is still the most powerful ship of her class but there's more aftermarket mods and patchwork repairs. Although come to think of it Joker already treats her as his own Millenium Falcon.
Honestly? I'd be quite glad to see the VS in command of the ship, and not just because I'm a fan of the characters. It's quite simple. Garrus's character development was stifled because the fans insisted that he be the same kind of character in the second game that he was in the first. I want to see the VS taking the type of stand that Garrus never takes, disagreeing with Shepard, and sticking to their guns. The best way to accomplish that is to make the VS the Normandy's new CO. This will bring out more of the VS's character, as well as adding something I've been waiting for since the beginning: Shepard's growth.
Essentially, the first two games had the same forumla: Assemble team, investigate mystery, lead team to glorious victory, with Shepard standing on the bridge of the Normandy. This time, I want to see Shepard take a step up. He's a rally point now, a symbol in his own right. He needs to be leading the fight as an Admiral, not as a Commander. Restricting Shepard to being 'Commander of the Normandy', just restricts how big a part he'll play in the war.

Shepard: I have to admit, its a little strange to see you and Jack working together.
Miranda: These are strange times.
Jack: Damn right they are, but don't think just 'cause I'm willing to play nice means that this makes us friends Lawson.
Miranda: (sarcastically) Oh, what about that time we painted each other's nails?
Jack: (chuckles) Looks like they found your sense of humor after that pulled that stick out of your ass.
Shepard: Alright this is just getting weird.

Well, I'm actually hoping they're fake, or somebody trying to fill in a bunch of stuff after having seen a level or two. There's some Miranda stuff there to be sure, but not enough to get me too excited.

The thing that gets me is the complete lack of new squad members. On the other hand, it's very convincingly written from a "mimic the .tlk files" standpoint.
To be truthful, the way the game has been talked about, that doesn't really surprise me much. It's a good fake, but could easily be fabricated from bits and pieces of existing info. For example, there's more detail in areas that have already been revealed in one way or another (Tuchanka, the opening sequence, etc.).
There's quite a bit of detail in couple of other areas, but whoever did this could have seen another level or two, possibly.
