There was always going to be more to the mission than suggested in the original skeletal outline. Not saying I wasn't worried right along with everybody else, of course, when the leak happened (though I did mention this a time or two back then).

But, basically, for Miranda's story arc to have any type of satisfying ending, professionally or personally, we're in the same spot we were then, namely that there needs to be significantly more than we're seeing in the leaked info.

Main difference is we now have a lot more info. Whether it's good or bad that we can have all this info and still not see those things is perhaps open to debate.

Hey at least we were all working off the same assumptions (more or less) back then.

Anyway I don't know what you guys are discussing in the spoiler group and I'm staying out to keep it that way. That being said I wouldn't take this new info as absolute truth any more than I did the original leak. It's unlikely they threw the whole thing out and did something completely different but there is still time for change, good or bad. I'm genuinely glad we've calmed down but I see these spoilers as proof the writers haven't forgotten/forsaken us and not of exact events in the game.

But whatever. Hopefully we can still keep discussion going here. I'm not risking more spoilers by staying on BSN for the joke threads<_<

Well, the original leak and the more developed script we have now corroborate each other. The game is likely to corroborate both, as far as the structure of Miranda's appearance is concerned. Endgame is where there is perhaps some room for more Miranda material. Maybe.

Discussion will probably be partly here and partly in the spoiler group from now on (just because speculation tends to start with the spoilers now), but I can understand your wanting to avoid the details.

Well, it's hard to discuss things without reference to spoilers. The reason I got so worked up about the CB was that I thought it would herald a character shift into something pathetic. There's at least one major scene missing from the leaks, but I went "that's my girl" a lot when reading the larger document. So, why should I get worked up? She doesn't say the line in my game, any more than she says the "admire my body" line. She's got a few more Paragon moments now, but she's still the character I fell in love with, more emotional, but only in places I can't fault her for being so. She's tough, resourceful, and independent, with goals of her own. That's what I wanted. You'll excuse me for not getting worked up over what I see as one lousy line these days.

Well, not everyone's pleased and we're still missing some lines, a critical scene is only described, and we're hoping for a couple of others. But what's there is good. Not perfect, but good.

I think Thane's is pretty fitting assuming you ignore aspects (but that stuff is not really related to his character). I agree with you on Mordin and Jacob though.

I'd probably throw in Tali and Jack as well.

It was in the leak. And I can say that I hate Tali for those lines, or that I can't take her writer seriously.

Well, I don't see any reason why Tali would necessarily speak highly of Miranda. And I can't honestly see Miranda really giving a crap what she thinks. So, I don't see a big issue there.

Similar banter with Miranda would be nice, though.

That might not necessarily be the case. What we saw was a rough draft of the storyline, while some banter might be fleshed out already (because it requires certain positioning, animations, etc) the entirety of the dialogue might not exist yet. Of course considering that there's a pan-galactic war going on date night might need to be put on hold:

Miranda: (ejects clip from SMG) You always take me to the nicest places!

Shepard: (lobbing a grenade a husk) We'll always have Paris!

Miranda: You've been dying to say that haven't you?
