You know what would be stellar, actually? If someone like you, Ieldra, could maybe send me a PM detailing Miranda's mission in some vague enough way that it doesn't spoil anything else. Is that, like, remotely possible? If not, I'll shut up.
PM sent.
BTW: Heh, I wonder if someone at Bioware will be looking at the below, thinking: "Will they shut up, damn it. It's all taken care of." Hopefully. It *really* makes no sense not to include that, and since I think they're competent in storytelling, they know it.
@Bioware:
Miranda's Cerberus story arc needs closure. Cerberus defined her entire adult life. Why she stayed so long, why she was so dedicated to them to rise high in their ranks, what human advancement means to her, and how she feels about TIM's betrayal, all that needs to be explained. Without it her story would be incomplete. She should be present at *spoiler*. Details see here.

Well, I sure hope so.
Because that would mean it's been taken care of

Yeah, or even not so subtle. That would be fine with me as well.
At some point Yvonne will be back in the studio, at least that seems likely to still be on the agenda, so I guess if there's anything positive that can be said or shown, we'd hear about it then.
But sooner would be fine, too

Yes, it would, but I'd rather go for an unambiguous one - less chance of any misunderstandings, especially considering some people on BSN specialise in misunderstanding and given the recent fracas with the leak.

Yeah but they'd never just outright say "yes we're putting all that in there". I'll settle for "we're working on it" because that's enough to bury this damn leak down the dark pit it deserves.

So, theres still hope that Miranda will have a decent amount of dialogue - whether that translates into full screen time is another matter.

I admit, I miss the feeling we had until recently that all this cool stuff we imagined for Miranda could actually be in the game.
The leak pretty much took all the fun out of speculation.

Another matter of some sadness for me. I just got really into that show. Still only on Season 2 so I can delay the end for a bit longer than regular viewers.
Still if she's done Chuck and goes all out on Miranda VA, that's still a win for me one way or another.

Yeah. What I wouldn't give for a "betrayal" argument right now. But it seems pointless.
Oddly enough, that word seems entirely appropriate for TIM's behavior, and one of the things I feel we need to hear in ME3 is that Miranda believes TIM betrayed her and her vision of what Cerberus was and could be/should be.

Its great fun, with some fantastic moments yet some episodes do get a bit samey after a while.
I picked up seasons 1-3 on DVD, then went and got season 4 on iTunes which was brilliant with a real sense of closure at the end. I don't really know why there is a season 5 to be quite honest, since season 4 wrapped up so well IMO.
About Miri - same here, I'm confident that BW have a great script for her, for what Miri's content in ME3 is worth anyway which I'm sure will be awesome

I agree with you. Having her of all people say that line was a warning, only it was phrased so poorly that the intended meaning was lost.

Honestly, I'm still hoping Ieldra will come by and write a rant in response to what I just said...
And maybe accuse me of twisting the meaning of words beyond all recognition or something.
*sigh*

Yeah, a bit early for all speculation to become pointless. But we'd be rehashing old arguments anyway. Let's face it, everything we actually know about Miranda has been discussed to death. Lately, the various speculative conversations and banter were the most fun to write and read.
Here's a challenge that might actually be useful. Write up a scene where Miranda talks with Shepard on TIM's base. Why do you think she stayed with Cerberus? I'll post a revision of my own version some time later (getting late here again).
Also, is this a new page. At the moment, I find looking at Miranda pictures reassuring.

@jtav:
Yes, I think that TIM has betrayed humanity (and Miranda, personally) - he isn't really advancing humanity so much as destroying it. And that Miranda would think the same goes without saying. Poor Miranda. She only has two people who never betrayed her - Shepard and Oriana. And that with loyalty being so important for her.
I'm still giving TIM the base in ME2 because according to the knowledge Shepard has at the time, it appears like the best option, and I still hope - stupidly, most likely - some good will come of it.
@Bioware:
Miranda's Cerberus story arc needs closure. Cerberus defined her entire adult life. Well, I think it's clear that the advanced knowledge of this is what produced the "betrayal" line in the first place. Could/should have been phrased differently, to make it clear that it was Cerberus/TIM using and abusing the tech that Miranda was referring to, but I think that was the point. That's always been my view, anyway, give or take.
You want an argument? Here is one: the new info doesn't change the fact that Miranda's "betrayal" line is OOC. It was always clear that using the base in a way we suspected TIM would use it could be reasonably interpreted as a betrayal of humanity, but that's not what Miranda says. She says ".....using anything from this base seems like a betrayal." And that's plain stupid. Though I admit some foreshadowing using the term "betrayal" was appropriate in hindsight, it was not just poor phrasing, the meaning of the statement - if that's what it was intended to convey - was totally overturned

"Betrayal" it is entirely appropriate. Cerberus is managing to be much worse than I ever thought they would be. In meta-game terms, the thought of giving them the base now turns my stomach. I really didn't expect the developers to go some of the places they are.
In that case, my renegon playthrough should be pretty interesting.
