Done.

With the Spike VGA's tomorrow, and a new ME3 trailer coming (FemShep! hopefully...)...I seem to remember that the full cast for Mass Effect 2 was announced around this time in 2009, so if this follows then maybe all will be revealed tomorrow night or soon after. Here's hoping

Will this raise anyone's spirits? Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man: Chapter 6

Summary: Sixteen-year-old Matthias Shepard only wants two things: to be a great artist and stay sane. Not to be a biotic superweapon. Fate-and Miranda Lawson-have other plans.

Any hope of Miranda's backstory being canon was smashed to bits by the leak. Which is freeing actually.

Has anyone every noticed how little we talk about her looks, considering how non-fans seem to think it's her main attraction.

I know there's only like 5 screenshots of her per page and they all show of her glorious personality.

I mean it's so easy to ignore her gigantic ass which is shrewdly positioned as the focal point for a dozen cutscense when she's so easy to relate to. I mean deep down inside, who doesn't have a little part of them which is an estranged genetically engineered daughter of a billionaire?

Actually, I do relate to her, thanks. I'm smart. I know it. School was easy for me. I got As because that was what was expected of me. I went to college and got top marks for two years, but I didn't have to apply myself. And then I snapped under the pressure of doing what Mom and Dad wanted. I'm also a prickly introvert. So, she and Tali share avatar duties. I'm female btw, and find Strahovski not to my taste physically.

I sent her a tweet regarding ME3 as well. Here's hoping we get a confirmation.

Baseless accusations. Just in recent history, from page 893 to page 900, there are zero pictures of Miranda. Instead, you find pages of debate.

Also, would you happen to be a turtle man, member of a dying race who was betrayed by his own father and spent years as a mercenary?

Being introvert =\\= being shy
Basically it means you're not that peachy about hanging out with the larger groups and prefer small ones. That doesn't mean you're intimidated by them.

Introvert =/= shy though shy people are usually introverts. Introvert means you "live in your head" or is very analytic.

Well, maybe I didn't explained it right. Chosen the wrong facts. Ok, let's bite it from the other side:

Mostly introverts have a harder time in getting to know people - at the beginning they come off as distant, cold, simply rude, or shy. They're awkward or just plainly uninterested.
That's why they like smaller groups. They know anybody in this clique, they're comfortable around them, they know they like them and what to expect, they don't need to bother going with the same awkward stuff again.

Still wouldn't describe Miranda as introvert she's too much of a busy-body. Don't get me wrong, i quite like Miranda but from the times i have visited this thread i've found people desperate to attach any traits they find apealing to her even when they don't fit the evidence. I also always get a kick out of how defensive some people can get if anyone brings up the giant ass in the room.

LOL. Well it's a hard personality trait to describe. She only gives a damn about Oriana, Shepard, Jacob, and Niket.

I don't think she has many friends and the ones she does have she's very close too almost overprotective. these are usually signs of introversion.

And ass in the room LOL. I say embrace it. It's part of her character, but some people tend to forget that Miranda is a collection of pixels with a back story and a complex characterization. Sometimes people mistake that for Yvonne Strahovski posing for Maxim.

Miranda is never awkward, i can't think of any evidence of her prefering small groups and she's pretty keen to involve herself in other peoples buisness. She's pretty ruthless but that doesn't make her introvert.

In what way? I'm not sure "introvert" is the best term to describe Miranda, but certainly moreso than "busy-body." Though I'd be interested in hearing more about what you mean, specifically.

That's all business. The subtle distinctions between professional and personal life are hard to spot, but very real.

He means introverts can't be nosy, confident, direct or dominating.
DC that's usual behavior, don't expect everything to fit - different people, different personalities, different ways of acting. What matter is difficulty in mantaining an emotional bond, and lack of interest in socializing.

Miranda is sort of introverted, she's fiercely loyal and protective of the people she cares about, but at the same time she can be the cold, calculating, pragmatic operative we meet on Lazarus Station.  Things only really get shaky when someone falls into both the "people Miranda cares about" and "people important to Miranda's goals" catagorys.

Take Shepard for instance. If you do the romance arc he represents both the goal of the Lazarus Project and someone who Miranda finds herself caring about, with this conflict we get the "What stupid bunch of hormones thought that this was a good time for love?" line.

What's up with the trolling dude  ?

Quite personally, the only instance where I thought her ass was quite annoying to my eyesight was when she first asks for Shepard's help with her sister. After that ? Sure, low shots, but nothing impeded me from looking up.

In short, if anyone's complaining about Miranda's ass, it's because they keep watching it, nothing wrong with admitting you like some fine backside you know :D ?

The Dictionary.com definition of INTROVERT is:

INTROVERT
noun

1. A shy person.

2. Psychology . a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings ( opposed to extrovert).

3. Zoology . a part that is or can be introverted.

The Dictionary.com definition of EXTROVERT is:

EXTROVERT
noun

1. An outgoing, gregarious person.

2. Psychology . a person characterized by extroversion; a person concerned primarily with the physical and social environment ( opposed to introvert).

Of the two words I think the definition that describes Miranda best is definition number 2 of Introvert. As Miranda seems to be more concerned with her own thoughts and feelings as opposed to a person concerned primarily with the physical and social environment.

Decent evidence of this is available in the prologue of the game where Shepard listens to her audio logs as she talks numerous times about withholding information from Wilson not even sharing non-classified base concerns with Jacob. She is constantly portrayed as going it alone and has very little social interaction with anyone other than Shepard and Jacob. She is closed off emotionally and doesn't interact socially. She may interact with many members of the ship but not in a non work capacity. She is also seen only sharing her emotions with Shepard, Jacob, Niket, and her sister Oriana. I would most defiantly say that she is an introvert very far from the social butterfly as some would paint her.

By the way I like her ass its got nice shape, the thing that bugs me is her buck teeth.

About the question whether Miranda is an introvert:

Miranda to Shepard: "I'm not looking for a friend. Stay focused on the mission."

Samara about Miranda: "She carries many burdens and refuses to share them with others."

Yep, introvert. In the course of ME2, Shepard earns the distinction of becoming a member of Miranda's "inner circle", where she's more open, but that circle is small: Shepard, Oriana, Niket, Jacob. To everyone else, she stays professionally distant as a rule.

I agree with that second definition. At least from what we see in ME2 Miranda doesn't really have much interaction with the squad other than the interactions with Jack and a few lines with Jacob. The same thing could be said of Shepard, Liara infers in Lair of the Shadow Broker that he keeps all of his worries and fears to himself because he's expected to inspire confidence in those who follow him.

Yes, but ME2 came out five weeks earlier in 2010. I wouldn't get my hopes up, but since VO is done, maybe they see they can't get their plans f*cked up by last-minute drop-outs any more, so they might as well announce it.
