"I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

It'll only be acceptable if Shepard does it as part of her Romance. It at least makes sense. He loves her, she loves him, why not?
And, he must only do it ONCE.

Run from the richest human in the Galaxy at 14/15 years of age. Then, nine months later, return, steal her sister, who I can only imagine was under even heavier security, and escape. Again!ubermensch007 wrote...
Exactly what sort of "act of bravery" could Miranda Lawson do; that would ever put Commander Shepard to shame?!

Personally, the reason I did not pick "Ruthless" for my canon Shepard was because of the pointless cruelty that Shepard enacted on Torfan.CrutchCricket wrote...
At the risk of derailing with a side topic, why are people so against the ruthless profile? Based on its description and what people on here are claiming they like in Miranda the ruthless path should at least be respected if not necessarily chosen.
Sacrificing your soldiers to achieve the objective is one thing. Executing batarians after they had surrendered is another completely different. And, while Balak is not the most unbiased source, apparently Shepard went so fas as to execute civillians.

Didn't she take Oriana when she ran away originally?
Going by Niket's Dialogue.

It's a nickname given in childhood and belonging solely to that time. Like your SO using the nickname your best friend (and nobody else) called you when you were five. I'd feel more conforable with 'Randa, except I don't like the way it sounds.

Dude...it doesn't matter. It's a lovable nickname both can feel comfortable with considering they're lovers.

Not sure if this was a posted idea (Not going to dig through 900 pages for 1 post), but since Cerberus in ME3 shows signs of being controlled by the Reapers, I think it would be an awesome idea to have her take control of it at the end, and remake it into a better image.
A lot of people like this idea in one form or another, myself included. It seems like the natural conclusion to Miranda's story arc.
On the whole "to Miri or not to Miri" question, I don't tend to use the name myself, just because I prefer Miranda, but I can't say it would bother me if Shepard used it in ME3. It would just be a sign of affection, that's all.

Honestly, if they don't do SOMETHING involving Miranda confronting TIM/impeaching him/assassinating him, then I will challenge Bioware's general level of intelligence.

Oh yeah... Well Shepard survived a horrific attack by Battarian Slavers at the age of sixteen.(Mindoir Background - 2170) And receieved (whatever that medal is called) for kicking ass on Elysium, when he or she was only 22 years old. (2176)

Heh, well, if there's no satisfying conclusion to Miranda's Cerberus story arc, then I'm pretty sure you won't be the only one who brings the issue to the devs' attention

@CrutchCricket: I guess I'm against the "Ruthless' Background, because like the actor David Checklis said after reading the script of The Shield before agreeing to do it."After reading that script.I felt dirty, and like I needed to take a shower.
That's kinda how 'ruthless' Shepard makes me feel.

I fail see why it has to belong solely to the past. It's not like it's a complicated nickname with a lot of history behind it. it's a very simple abbreviation of her first name.
I don't consider it a big deal. If it was in the game, I would just go "Aw, how cute" because it would denote familiarity between the two and move on.
That was mostly due to luck. A rocket hit his house and he was buried under rubble. The batarians tought he was dead.ubermensch007 wrote...

Star of Terra. And yes, that is very impressive. I would love a dlc that allowed us to play through Shepard's military background. And receieved (whatever that medal is called) for kicking ass on Elysium, when he or she was only 22 years old. (2176)

On another note, this is something that I read over at Steam, that may have been brought up here, or not.But its pretty interesting:

Unrelatedly, I'm surprised no one's mentioned the odd parallel between Miranda and the Reapers. Both are perfect, but both have to resort to outside means to reproduce. Underlying that could be the statement that perfection is the key to stagnation, and therefore, is ultimately it's own weakness. Page 10: Mass Effect 3: A Dissertation
I can't say that I agree with his notion that perfection is weakness and stagnation.Last time i checked: The Nazarra have been kicking galactic ass for millions of years. If they have any "weaknesses" organic sentient life forms have failed to find them and exploit them...

On the whole nicknames front I sort of see Shepard and Miranda being Miss Lawson and Commander Shepard when they're in public on on a mission. I personally like Miri, but it seems more like a nickname that would be used when its just Shepard and Miranda.
I agree, calling her Miri in public would be unprofessional. I think it's ok just between the two of them though.
Kind of off topic now: Still no news with regards to Yvonne returning for the VO? I wish they would just confirm it so that I could sleep at night

No, they're just really, really stupid.
Gain embassy on the Citadel. Bombard salarian and asari colonies. Be surprised when they choose humans over you.
Riiiiiiiight.
I would have liked a batarian squadmate, though.
