I just wanted to post to support Miranda-love in ME3. I'd go str8 for Miranda ;)

((Normally I'd be in a Kaidan support thread, but seriously the women in there frighten me a little!))

Hmm. So I'm just skimming this last page and it seems you've all got your sh!t ruined by jtav's suggestion. Luckily I don't know/care who Kai Leng is. So... I win?
(Note: This isn't an invitation to tell me all about it.)

Anyway I finally figured out what to get Miranda for Christmas...a box set of Chuck:P

This is semi-serious though, hear me out. Besides the risk of Celebrity Paradox, I settled on a general suggestion of box-set of DVDs she and Shepard can marathon through. I picture it like the scene from Hot Fuzz where they're watching Point Break and Bad Boys 2. The whole point of that is to get Angel to unwind. I think that's what Miranda needs too. And at the end of it all I'd love a line from her that's analagous to "Well there's no way you can incur that much carnage without a considerable amount of paperwork"

Besides home movie marathons=couch and couch=cuddling:wub: I'm gonna stop now and go watch some explosions.

Welcome!:wizard:

And yeah I get the feeling that apart from the exceptions populating this and possibly the Liara thread, female fans are a lot more rabid about their favorites.

One is a axe crazy Cerberus agent the other one is the character my cannon Shepard is based off of. I can see why jtav is interested.

Again, not seeing how exactly this guy can stand against a biotic, unless HE himself is one !

Soldier Shepard can stand against biotics just fine. Leng completed the N7 program, just like the Commander and Anderson.

No one appreciates a Badass Normal, anymore. It's all about the biotics.

Leng is a biotic.

Plus, Biotics =/= instant win. Highly trained soldiers can easily dodge or outgun an advanced biotic. Biotics are pretty much unstoppable in close combat though.

Oh? I thought he was a biotic in one of the books. My bad.

Enemy biotics never use Pull, throw or warp though

I can understand that if they did, the game would be pretty damn tough at some points.

Since I don't feel like scrolling through 900+ pages of posts (proof that Miranda NEEDS to be in ME3) what would you all say would be the chances of having Miranda as an active member of your squad, or even a character that you could *ahem* visit, like liara in Shadow Broker?

I'd say the chances are slim.

P.S. I feel like Bioware's alienating PS3 users by not including like any ME2 characters as major squad mates, since PS3 users never got a chance to even play the first one, tho I'd still probably like ME2 much better.

I don't know how many PS2 players of ME2 there are, but I can tell you this sidelining of ME2 characters pisses off quite a few PC players as well. None of my three favorites is on the team.

Thanks for the reply by the way. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the matter? I'd like to hear what you all think (since most of you probably would know more than me) and can we stop talking about Shep being a biotic?, it has nothing to do with Miranda in ME3... just saying...

The sidelining of ME2 characters is an inexcusable travesty that undermines the purpose of ME2 and it will more than halve my enjoyment of ME3.

Stick around. You'll learn that we have pretty much exhausted all non spoiler topics.

Gravity fields mean nothing before The Commander Shepard. Those Eclipse Sisters try to Throw him, Shepard just takes a few steps back. That's how badass he is.

Ok, seriously, biotics were severely nerfed in ME2. Back in ME1, you could be thrown around

This is how I feel.

But if I were to say it, it would involve more swearing, and a little bloodshed.

How do we take down Kai Leng? This way:

Miranda: You don't understand Shepard, he's killed a Krogan, a armored Turian infantry squad, and countless others with a simple knife!

Shepard: Miranda, if my time as a Spectre has taught me anything if something's worth doing, its worth overdoing.

Miranda: You're not seriously considering on using that inane weapon again are you?

Shepard: (hefting the Cain) Hey if accelerator rounds won't kill him, 1.2 kilotons of atomic hellfire should do the job nicely.

Miranda: And what pray tell will you do if your fancy toy doesn't do its job?

Joker: Well, then we see if he likes the smell of thanix cannon fire in the morning.

Very promising. I'm beginning to have some sympathy for Gwen. I think Matt is too hard on her. And Miranda...phew, she wields her words as weapons. But Gwen has a point with her last statement. Looking forward to Miranda's answer.

Yep sidelining of all my favourite characters has left me with just the desire to see how it all ends as my sole motivation to play ME3.

LOL. There's no kill like overkill. Let's hope they won't make Shepard engage Kai Leng in a fistfight.

And there is a need of more Miranda:

Well, overall, I think the way the ME2 characters are handled is going to be seen, long-term, as one of the weak points of the series. Basically, what ME3 is going to try to do to cover for the disposability of the ME2 characters is make them necessary for acquiring war assets that you need for a good/best ending. But that's going to be meager compensation for the fact that they aren't in the game much.

Moreover, the Suicide Mission was just a stupid mechanic to introduce at the end of the second chapter of the series, and it has likely forced the devs to spend a lot of time/resources on adjusting for these characters' possible absence, rather than making big choices from the prior games matter in more than superficial ways. Keeping in mind that only 1.5 characters or so actually die in the average Suicide Mission, it's a pretty massive waste of time.

Where Miranda specifically is concerned, I think the jury's still out on how good her appearance will be. It could be really bad, tbh. There's a lot of stuff missing from the leaked script that would need to be there for it to be good. But, the potential's there for it to be really good, if the right pieces were added.

Since we can be confident that Miranda's role was finished in August sometime (approximately), and that the leaked script is from June-July at the most recent, we are just going to have to wait and see to evaluate it properly.
