Thanks for the information Ieldra2! Yes, so I did read a spoiler. I should stop updating myself on my favorite games because all these roller coaster information of good and bad news are driving me nuts!

Compared to the avalanche of info back when ME 2 hadn't even been released, this is nothing !

Roller coaster are up and down. This has been going down for a while, the only good things that I have noticed are fan made.

Right, I apologize for the lack of recognition on my original post. I just tought that since the name of the author was on the bottom left corner of the picture, it would be unnecessary.

Anyway, it's a very nice design. I particularly like how the shoulder pads allude to Miranda's original outfit.

I like so much the color and design armor of her so I hope she use something similar in the game.

I always wondered if the markings on Miranda's uniform meant something. Are they rank insignias similar to the ones on military uniforms, or are they just decorative?

Wouldn't bet much on rankings given how Cerberus has a very "short" chain of command !

Cerberus does indeed have ranks, I assume they're officer insignia.

Well, all organizations obviously need some sort of hierarchy to function properly.

But given how Cerberus is whatever projects they have at the moment, and whatever TIM decides is worthy of Cerberus' attention, I wouldn't be surprised if the highest rank at Cerberus was............officer.

According to Invasion Cerberus has some millitary ranks, like General, Major, Lieutenant, etc. I think that the science staff and other Cells carry the title of Operative.

It's probably a rank marking. From what I heard from one of my Navy buddies, the Navy has a crapload of specializations like Machinist's Mate 3rd class, Boatswain 1st class...and it goes on and on. Miranda's insignia is probably her rank and specialization (research & development).

:o !

How does Cerberus apparently avoid bureaucracy then ? Simply by direct oversight from TIM ?

Science and political cells run autonomously with TIM acting as an overseer Senior staff like Miranda and Jacob who are higher up in the chain of command hold the rank of Operative.

Cerberus' millitary assets (at least in Invasion) are directly commanded by TIM, he's the one who issues the commands to be carried out by Cerberus forces. Logistics could be handled by the various companies that are owned by Cerberus.

Yes, but by that time Cerberus has acquired, or become, an army, and needs military ranks to function. ME2's Cerberus is not of that kind. I don't think they have more than one or two ranks, and I don't think they're so formalized as to appear as insignia on uniforms. But yes, I'd also like to know what the cryptic symbol on loyalty outfit means.

@MsKatie:
Very nice picture :)

Agreed.

Re: Cerberus ranks, doesn't Miranda say something about preserving Alliance command structure to the extent possible? (To ease the transition for the disgruntled Alliance soldiers that turn to Cerberus, presumably.)

Also, don't Miranda and Jacob have different class names that sort of suggest a hierarchy? What they are slip my mind.

I remember Miranda claiming that most of Cerberus' recruits came from the Alliance ranks but I think that was it.

Also, yes. Jacob is an Operative while Miranda is an Officer.

Now all I can see is my Shepard saying "What seems to be the problem Officer?" whenever she's in a bad mood.
