I know!  I can see Miranda being the one "in control"  with getting what she wants out of sex.  Shepard would have to control his own desires as to not go so fast.  hah!  I could see that as a competition of sorts. :D

Miranda is deffinitely  NOT "missionary girl"

I must ask, am I the only one who finds it odd that Miranda turns her head as if she was startled ? I always found that curious, is she nervous ? Scared ? Excited :P ?

I just don't understand how the line "I've cleared the engine room" sounded good to the writers. Cleared it of who? Tali? What if you didn't recruit Tali? etc. I get the reasons for the location, I just think the execution around it was lackluster.

What I don't understand is how it's supposedly an upgrade over the Captain's Quarters, or even her own office. The two people who have an actual bed in the ship, and they choose a presumably uncomfortable and hard floor?

Having said that, my Shep that romanced Miranda also pissed off Tali (sided with Legion) so that added dose of irony made it totally worthwhile. >=D

I think "cow girl" is clearly her from that video.  ;)

I think it's all of the above.  I've picked that scene apart piece by piece to see her reactions.  She probably doesn't know what to expect with the "hero"  Expectations...

Question, does Miranda have any new dialogue in any of the DLC's? I am doing a new playthrough where I am not romancing anyone from ME so I can romance Miranda in ME2 in the hopes of a happy-ever-after with her in ME3, and have heard all her dialogue lines in the main game already (except for the romance plot). But there are a few DLC's that I haven't tried yet also (LotSB, Kasumi, Zaeed) and am wondering if I'd get to hear any new Miranda lines if I brought her along in those or if it's just the generic "Right behind you Shepard" type responses.

I'm sorry to say, she has not. However, in LotSB you can talk with Liara about your romance, which is rather nice. Of course, LotSB also adds the extranet dating logs and the **** **** medical report....

Cool, thanks Ieldra. By the way thanks for your great work in the spoiler group researching the code from the beta. Fingers crossed that we can get a happily-ever-after ending when the final version is done!

Not quite sure what you meant about Tali. I think it's natural for anyone with Miranda's past to react that way - that she mentions it in passing as a part of her past that's no longer relevant is enough to keep her in character. It's also good that you brought the matter of Matt's questions up again. I can see where this will go in the end....looking forward to it :)

LOL, especially because I just bought the PS3 version to try all the DLC's.

I do have to say, there's something wrong with Shepard if he's actually more interested in doing what he's doing as opposed to doing what she's thinking.

Okay, I'll bite. Where's it going? I was worried Miranda's thoughts on her limitations was too reminiscent of Tali's rant on her LM. I don't know if I'd call anything no longer relevent. She still has real physical limitations and rage toward Gwen.

Oh...I meant nothing except that there will be sex at some point. :D And it was the talk about how she had dreams about her father not being her real father etc... that I meant when I said it's no longer relevant. The thoughts about her condition - it's mostly OK, but perhaps see to it that it doesn't become too much of a focus. It's possible that it will acquire a rather overbearing presence when you take the last published chapter and this new one together.

Well, it dominates partly because of Gwen and partly because a cure is being waved in her face (and partly because I need to establish her differences from her future self).

I've actually been playing Matt and I've come to the conclusion Colonist/Sole Survivor is possibly the worst combination for Miranda. Talitha has quite a lot to say about the control chips the batarians used.

If memory serves, I think that the passive mass effect field generated by the core somehow heightens the experience durring the act.  I think that Mordin may have made a reference to this or it could have been a codex entry.  I am not sure.

Also we all know that the Normandy is full of bugs and as such (i believe it was discussed or is mentioned in the codex) the engine room is likely the only real "Clean" part of the ship.

That's a good question. I don't remember anything very significant.

That's a generic line. I've heard her say that in the main game somewhere.

I just realized the "full of bugs" justification may not fly as much as we thought it did. By the time the scene happens, EDI is unshackled (and is probably aware of them as has been mentioned). Couldn't she detect all the bugs and take steps to jam/remove them? Of course at this point there's no pressing reason to do so as they haven't broken away from Cerberus yet. But she could could jam, say the captain's quarters or Miranda's cabin for the duration of their "encounter". Then again, Miranda doesn't really trust EDI at that point...
Hmm. This never really bothered me before (apart from being a dick move to Tali). But I do wish they would've done two versions of this scene one in each of their cabins and randomized which scene would play on any given playthrough.

Miranda will say it during Tali Recruitment Mission, If the other Squad member on your team says something the Geth colossus.

Kasumi: O god colossus.
Miranda: This could be trouble

Yes, I noticed that when I first encountered it. At the time I thought that next DLC would have 2 lines! I was just being optimistic/ glass half full because that was one more line, albet a generic line, than Overlod, Kasumi, Zaeed, Firewalker, and Arrival combined! So thats something right?...guys? ::ejects out of thread::

I guess it's probably a practical issue mostly, as you would need to bring in a bunch of extra VAs to do new lines for the DLC, if squadmates had a lot of new things to say.

The issue is that unlike most Bioware games some of the VA's (like Yvonne) aren't always available. Jen Hale, Mark Meer, Steve Blum, among others are all professional voice actors who presumably greater availability. But then again Arrival and LotSB seem be the DLC that recieved most of the team's attention.
