^whoops, typo on my end. I agree "earring girl" is the better of the two, but I think it's because she looks like she has an attitude similar to the character. It's an appealing personality trait to be that direct and decisive.

The chick in the other pictures (not Mila Kunis) seems like a model some dude hired for a Miranda cosplay.

Mila Kunis girl seems like a chick who wants a Miranda Lawson spin-off game  !

If I were Mila Kunis, so would I.

Off topic: Who here would pay to see Yvonne dress up as Miranda for Halloween? Dyed hair, clothes, prop gun all included.

How would everyone else react to Miranda being in a reduced role in ME3?

I would still enjoy the game. But i would be VERY disapointed.

You and everyone else in the thread.

At first I'd be like  Miranda <3, then I'd be like  too little Miranda </3

Then BioWare would be like:devil: trollololol

Completely off topic, but regarding your signature, Reegar and Tali should get together, so she'd stop flirting with me during flavor chat.

I'm about to hit a particular location for the first time sine the leak. Is it wrong that I dread it? Would screenshots be in poor taste? Now I know how ME1 LI fans feel about Ilium and Horizon.

Which location is that? And as flemm said, screenshots are always nice.

Halfway through Horizon on my canon game. Miranda and Jack are my primary squad. I've been thinking a lot about the accusation that Miranda's romance is a fling. Would it really be so terrible if it were true? *dodges rotten produce* A woman having sex because it's fun and she likes it instead of because she's damaged. After turning down Jack's first offer, it makes me appreciate the playfulness of Miranda's scene, even if the context is creepy. I'm not saying her romance is a fling, just appreciating the lighthearted and the fact that the sex is not treated as a lifechanging moment (that occurred earlier with the "promise" scene.

^I agree, too many people suppose --in some cases impose-- some level of emotional investment when sex is involved. I think that's a naive way of looking at it. More than enough people do it because they've got an inch that needs to be scratched. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh, I'm not against the interpretation that it may be a fling for any one Shepard and Miranda. I'm against people claiming that the game tells you it is.

@android:
I would suppose some level of trust is indeed needed to enjoy sex, even if it is just for fun.

Well, imposing ANYTHING is wrong.

But I've known people who have been in situations where they always "want more" and have got shafted............................figuratively speaking.

Still, I'm confused, if you go to Horizon with Miranda and Jack, the latter accuses Miranda of having a fling with Shepard ? Did I understand that correctly ?

Game tells you just the opposite, particularly with Kasumi's "strange to see Miranda;s smiling when she's working." I'm just filled with renewed appreciation that the game lets her be sexually active without baggage and that the scene is [resented as normal, healthy, and fun instead of the defining moment of Miranda's life.

No, turning Jack down was the last thing I did before Horizob. Which makes me think of Miranda's sex scene.

I think the scene was presented as that to simply exploit Miranda as a sexual character, it's better to see her getting dry-humped and with lingerie than seeing her making sweet love..............as far as fanboy-concern lays anyways !

But there is a degree of emotional investment to Miranda's romance, she wouldn't whine and ask you to promise her to survive the Suicide Mission if she didn't really care, she had developed feelings for Shepard.

Well it depends on the person. Just some degree of amiability is all I really need to consider it, granted that attraction is there of course.

Tell me how to nerve myself up to not tell Miranda to talk to Oriana. Because I don't think I can do it.

Well, personally I've never had a hard time with that choice. She's trying to protect her and let her live her life. So, in a sense, the less she gets involved, the better.

I like the version where she speaks to her as well, but it seems perfectly in character for Miranda to prefer not to do that.

Reasons for the characters to do that have been discussed before. I don't know about player reasons to go that route. I know I never want to.

I think Spacer Shepard can come up with a good reasoning. He did not call his mother because he knows that he will most likely die when it's time to attack the Collector Base and it would be selfish to reopen old wounds just to feel warm inside for a few hours.
He apllies a similar reasoning to Miranda not speaking to Oriana. Oriana can't miss what she never had but should her newfound sister die...

But dear God, is that scene painful!

How about a Shep who would tell Miranda that wanting to speak with her sister will be the reason that keeps her alive through the SM?

I know that isnt how the game mecanic works but that kind of reasoning is not unseen in litterature.

the whole <we cant risk it now. you dont want her to know she has a sister and lose her right after. but when its all done you comeback and talk to her. that will keep you sharp> kinda deal.

I know it not actual ingame dialogue but it could help you roleplay mybe

Seriously, unless you're role-playing, and role-playing HARD at that, there's absolutely zero reasons to tell Miranda to not to talk to her sister.

Miranda, being Miranda, decides to NOT talk to her sister, though she is conflicted. Shepard has the option to change her mind and convince her to do so.

Her conflict comes before her decision, just because she voices one of the options doesn't mean it's what she chose to do, it's up to Shepard to sway her towards one side or the other.

Probably just "semantics" as she would say :P !

My interest is actually metagame, rather than RP. It's possible I get a more desirable outcome if Miranda refrains from speaking with Oriana.
