Yvonne has a new tweet up that starts with "I break my silence". Well, that got my hopes up. However, she's talking about her vacation

Well, that (At least partially) explains her lack of tweets. Maybe now she's done she'll provide more information.
I remember tweeting her a couple days ago without knowing she was even on vacation -_-

Well I was making the 'Y' in her name take up the 'Y' part of the joke, albeit in a very forced nature, and, well, I...

Nevermind, the point is that I need confirmation pronto. No, we all do. Argh, must. Get. Confirmation.

I reloaded my save yet again and went with the Renegade version of her LM. I'd forgotten how emotionally raw that version of her debrief is. She's professional as ever, but there's a tremendous amount of pain just beneath the surface. Strahovski does pain very well indeed. I got the sense that Miranda has in some sense bought into the notion that she's the flawed prototype to Oriana's perfection. Her self-loathing is palpable. It's not about Oriana's safety, I think. Not really. Oriana represents all that is good, true, and normal in the universe. Miranda can only corrupt that.

If ME3 is a case of "all's well that ends well" I might never let Miranda speak to Oriana again. It's painful now, but the happy ending becomes sweeter for it.

I don't see Miranda being really big on partying. She's more about work and family. If she were in a good mood, she'd probably play along, but that's about it.

I could see Miranda enjoying a party if it was just her and the people she cares about.

What's the difference in the Renegade version? I've never taken that path.

The dialogue when you ask about Oriana:

Shepard: Are you happy about your sister's relocation?
Miranda: She has what I wanted her to have -- a normal life, and the freedom to choose her own path.
Miranda: And she'll never know me, which is for the best. No chance of me putting her in danger.
Shepard: You know where she is. You can get in touch if you change your mind.
Miranda: It would be a mistake. I'd be risking her safety for my own selfish reasons. No better than my father.
Miranda: It was never a temptation until I saw her. I'll just have to keep my distance.
Shepard: What's your impression of her? Do you think she's happy?
Miranda: I don't know. Even if I talked with her, I doubt I'd know. I'm too close to her.
Miranda: She's genetically identical to me. She is me, for all intents and purposes.
Miranda: I can't look at her life and judge it. I just hope hers is better than mine was.

It really gives a "two people who have lost absolutely everything huddling together for companionship" vibe to her romance with Colonist Matt.

Her "I guess not" when you convince her to talk to Oriana is gold. One of the best-acted lines in the game. I'd like to know how she does that.

While the not talking to Oriana dialogue is good, the animation is what keeps me from committing to that outcome. Miranda just stands there with that sad look on her face that just makes me want to reload so she can talk to Oriana.

I understand that Miranda wants her sister to have a chance at having a nomal life and happiness, but there's no reason she can't be happy.

Agreed. I made that comment more with the idea of a party with the whole crew in mind (that had previously been mentioned), which I don't really see as Miranda's cup of tea.

It makes me wonder just how many people Miranda allows into her life, outside Shepard and Oriana.

Jacob is in the same catagory as Shepard and Oriana at least going off of the LM. Of course in most of my playthroughs Jacob dies in the vents, but that's unrelated.

That's a cute picture, and an almost albino Shepard was a nice touch. Is it confirmed that Miranda's bisexual in ME3?

So I'm making my merry way through the romance. If they aren't setting up Miranda either forming or working for humanity's STG after ME3, I'll be very surprised. That is her professional passion, what the Protheans are to Liara. She believes humanity needs it and she needs to work for it. Not to justify herself-that's actually not mentioned in this conversation, but for intellectual stimulation and professional fulfillment. Reducing her only to the personal would be character derailment. That STG may not have much in the way of continuity with Cerberus, but it's where she's heading, I think.
