I agree. That's where her professional jealousy of Mordin stems from. Mordin is arguably responsible for the deaths of millions of Krogan. Yet he is regarded as a hero by his government at the very least. Miranda who's in the same line of work has been protecting humanity's interests for roughly 15 years yet she is considered a xenophobic terrorist by her government. All because of Cerberus' reputation. If her story arc doesn't significantly overlap with Cerberus/Alliance I'll be more than mildly disappointed.

Has BioWare released details of the VA's?

I think the marketing plan is to release a video and info like we did for Mass Effect 2. I believe that
is planned for sometime in February.

I don't know what to make of this message when there's a -->  <-- at the bottom of the post.

That just goes to show how new I'm around here

"Evil" Chris Priestly signs all his messages that way.

This might help.

Warning: no nudity, but not really safe for work.

Blonde has a very...

Odd quality about her.

She does look a little unnerved.

That's because Miranda has just said: "You still don't get it, do you, Shepard? You're not in charge of this relationship. I am."

She has a weird, sort of empty look on her face.

Sorta like Miranda just devoured her soul.

Or maybe Miranda is an Ardat-Yakshi.

@ Jtav

I like how you have worked in subtle allusions to how Cerberus is directing Matt's development such as his host family having a member who worked for Cord-Hislop Aerospace. Does Matt find out about Cerberus during this story or are you planning on saving that shock for when he sees Miranda again on Lazarus station?

Indeed. And  to this picture.

Want to know what Miranda likes ?

Miranda: Hey Shepard, there's a presentation of Nielsen's fifth on the Dilinaga Concert Hall, want to go with me?

Shepard: Sure ! No problem ! *How bad can it be?*

Later...

Shepard: *Dies of boredom*.

I lol'd.

There is much truth in your post Image IPB

Not so much. I think Nielsen fits Miranda. Not exactly emotionally engaging at first, but interesting once you get into it a little. Still not exactly my favorite kind of music (unlike Miranda, LOL), even though I'm into the older classical stuff.

I reloaded my save yet again and went with the Renegade version of her LM. I'd forgotten how emotionally raw that version of her debrief is. She's professional as ever, but there's a tremendous amount of pain just beneath the surface. Strahovski does pain very well indeed. I got the sense that Miranda has in some sense bought into the notion that she's the flawed prototype to Oriana's perfection. Her self-loathing is palpable. It's not about Oriana's safety, I think. Not really. Oriana represents all that is good, true, and normal in the universe. Miranda can only corrupt that

If ME3 is a case of "all's well that ends well" I might never let Miranda speak to Oriana again. It's painful now, but the happy ending becomes sweeter for it.

Hmm. Only if that means Miranda overcomes her unhealthy attitude to herself - and to Oriana. This obsession she has makes me highly uncomfortable. But at least it would be clear her attitude has little to do with her genetic engineering since Oriana share's her DNA.

So I'm making my merry way through the romance. If they aren't setting up Miranda either forming or working for humanity's STG after ME3, I'll be very surprised. That is her professional passion, what the Protheans are to Liara. She believes humanity needs it and she needs to work for it. Not to justify herself-that's actually not mentioned in this conversation, but for intellectual stimulation and professional fulfillment. Reducing her only to the personal would be character derailment. That STG may not have much in the way of continuity with Cerberus, but it's where she's heading, I think.

That's exactly what I was thinking when playing the romance for the first time after the leak. It is so apparent in almost everything she says apart from the personal.

i began to play me2 with the intention of not cheating on ashley. but when i got to know more about miranda's story, she appealed to me a lot more. i sympathize with her "issues" a lot more than ashley. ashley just seems to whiney and acts like a little girl, with that said doesnt miranda act and look more like a WOMAN than ashley?

I don't find either of the two characters whiny or 'girlish' in the least, personally. They're both compelling, and while Miranda's story seems to have some more 'meat' to it and comes across as a bit more subtle even still, Ash's remains rather poignant and well-written to me.

Well, she definitely LOOKS more like a woman, because of Yvonne Strahovski's facescan.

I used to like Ash, until she started spouting poetry in the most unnecessary of places and times. Plus Horizon...

And I agree, I definitely don't find Ash girly. MAYBE Miranda, just a small bit. She's very womanly, but not girly, if that makes sense.

I like both women. Really, I like all the women in this series. It's like vanilla vs. strawberry: a matter of preference. That's why I always refer to Miranda as my favorite instead of the best. Ash is refreshingly normal and Victorian lit was my specialty in college. Prefer Robert Browning to Tennyson, though. Jack has the best VA, Liara has the most high-quality content, Tali is me for all intents and purposes. Whatever floats your boat.

Yeah. I think each of the female characters brings a really good feature to the table. Courtenay Taylor is definitely the best at getting Jack personified. Not to say that Ash Sroka as Tali or Yvonne as Miranda are bad, but I think Courtenay does it the best.

That said, I think Jack's best feature is that she doesn't let anyone too close. Odd enough, coming from me, but I don't encounter many characters like this, and I find it interesting how someone keeps sanity after going through what Jack did.

Tali gives me the little sister vibe. I'm not sure how to handle this, to be honest, not having any sisters myself. that said, her attraction to male shepard seems much more creepy -_-

Liara sort of comes off as a vey close friend who has feelings for you as well. That or a latent psychopathic obsession with you.

Well, this is interesting. Miranda also gets angry if you choose Tali for first fire team. She's less dismissive than with Jack, but is very quick to remind you of Haestrom.

It's very odd having two versions of Matt going simultaneously--one for Miranda and one for Tali.

Wasn't Kaal' Reegar in charge of the military team?

Yep. Tali was in command of the science team and the mission as a whole. Anyone want to know Matt's (Miranda version) decision list.
