I don't see why you can't find a lover in a friend, but I digress, Jack Miranda and Ashley are definitely the best LI's the game has to offer. Here's hoping the three of them become open to s/s in March.

Anywho, I came across these while looking for wallpaper, thought you'd guys would enjoy it.

This one is a link since its NSFW.

This image is very interesting, funny and lovely :P

It's like they forgot all about Jack's wanting to kill Miranda:mellow:

I think she's smiling because she's killing her.

It's a fairly common slash pair. I prefer Liara/Miranda.

Its a bit cliche though, I'm rather tired of all the Asari obsession. It almost seems like they're the most abundant species in the galaxy.

I think Jack/Miranda pairing is so popular because their attitudes and decisions are polar opposites, but their personal history and psychology is rather similar. The main psychological difference is that Jack can be self-obsessed, while Miranda denies herself to the point what she views herself as a thing rather than a person. An outside observer could have a field day analyzing these two, together or apart.

Cliche? If you can point to a Liara/Miranda story not written by me, please do so.

I didn't mean them specifically, just anyone with Liara or an Asari. They have a huge following for some reason.

Telepathic blue-skinned space babes that can do it with anyone? What's not to like?

Blue-skinned space babes. I just think their personalities mesh. Xenophilia has nothing to do with it.

I am curious if Liara gets shipped more than other asari though. It would still make sense, she is the most represented

I agree they are an interesting pair. To me personally, not so much as a romantic couple (though I could see why people would be interested in that), but rather moreso just as two characters that have a lot of relatively subtle similarities, combined with some very volatile differences.

The part where they are telepathic and can have children with anyone, regardless of gender or species.
Then add longevity, natural biotics and amazing political power and you get the most Mary Sue race in any Bioware video game.

Not seeing the problem here. Wait you don't subscribe to that whole "cultural genocide" nonsense do you?

I would also argue against Mary Sue status but since critera for that are so broad and debatable I'll just leave that alone.

Eh. I would want my kids to be my species personally.

The Asari don't do anything for me. Plus the mind melding is a bit creepy. No thanks.

Well, give me a human with Liara's personality and I'll ship them too, with better sex scenes.

Obviously to each their own. I personally like the concept of asari but I still go for Miranda. The individual matters more.

Remember Terra Firma on election day because Terra Firma remembers You!

Seriously, though, the asari do subtly infiltrate and influence other specie's culture. It's their greatest weapon.
There should be laws regulating reproduction with asari. For example, the offspring of a human/asari pairing can never be considered an Alliance citizen.

It isn't nonsense. That's why (my) Shepard voted Terra Firma. Diplomacy and alliances are cool. Trepassing into the cultural idenity of another race is a big N-O.

They either come off as children or someone trying too obviously to behave in a coquettish manner. Not appealing. Now someone strong, decisive and willing to write you off because they don't "need" you. Parasini got it right when she said they squeal like school girls.

Oh please. Cultural Identity? Name anything unique to asari culture that we've seen so far, either exhibited by asari themselves or by cultures they've supposedly "infiltrated"?

It says so in the Codex: "Traditionally, asari spread their influence through cultural domination and intellectual superiority. They invite new species of advanced development to join the galactic community, knowing that their ideals and beliefs will inevitably influence the existing culture."

If Bioware has failed to demonstrate this ingame, it does not mean it does not exist. For example, we also don't see much of the famous Turian caste system, however it's a fact that it exists.

And even if they did not infiltrate cultures, it remains a fact that the asari method of reproduction coupled with the taboo that exists against asari/asari pairings (another sign, btw) and their longevity means that there is a serious threat of the asari, one day, being the only species in existence.

Ah yes the "wikipedia" of the ME universe... we have dismissed that claim.:P

Really I don't see any of this as very likely- not likely being possible and not likely actually happening. But we may be derailing just a tad. Let's get back to Miranda.

What's a hobby she might have that's completely unrelated to her professional aspirations? They say everyone's got one...

My canon Shepard is technically single throughout both games, but I hope he can at least indicate/remind to Miranda he was quite serious about the "Damn it, you're right" "Maybe, after we save the galaxy?" bit.

Depending on the conclusion of the romances. I might change to Paramour Miranda or Ashley. I'm not really into any of the alien relationships. Although Liara might be an interesting alternative if you can start her romance in Mass Effect 3 and friend her in 1 and 2.

I'm with you on this pal. Maybe the two of us are the "weird ones" here, but I just don't see the attraction to someone of another species. (And yes, I know it's a videogame, but still... I just don't get it.) To me, that's like a cow mating with a horse. It just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, i guess some people just have a natural curiosity to what it would be like to romance someone that isn't human.....and that's perfectly fine, but i think i'll stay with Miranda thank you :)

It might if it was a horse in name only but otherwise acted like a cow 100% of the time.

You guys aren't wierd. People that enjoy having sexual relations with raptors, squids, and amphibians are weird.

But this is the BSN. Where being normal, logical, and sensible is looked down upon.

And yes, this was off topic as hell. More Miranda.

Amen to that. I also don't see the attraction to those frog people called quarians.

The "frog people" should be the Drells. I think the Quarians are reptiles, though their faces seems similar, if not the same, of humans and asari.
