I agree. Miranda's enhanced reflexes and eysight might make her a good shot, but seeing those abilities applied in close combat would be rather impressive.
I agree, It will incredible if we can watch a combat like that.

If --and thats a big if-- Yvonne didn't voice Miranda, I at least hope they got someone to keep her natural accent. I don't know if its because I'm from the U.S., but Australians, New Zealanders and South African's have some of the most enchanting accents in the English language, especially when they're spoken with eloquence.
I would miss the accent a lot, I think, and the voice generally speaking. Oh well, I guess we'll cross that bridge later on if it turns out to be necessary.

Miranda: (tosses Shepard a foil) Scared, Commander Shepard?
Shepard: Considering what happened last time can you blame me?
Miranda: I promise I'll be gentle.
Shepard: I'm starting to think what I consider to be gentle and what you consider to be gentle are two different things.
Miranda: (smirks) And I thought you liked to play rough.
Shepard: Yes, but that usually doesn't entail getting jabbed repeatedly by swords.

I smirked, and my brain went somewhere dirty.

Why doesn't Miranda have younger sisters besides Oriana?

Something I don't think we've discussed:
Why doesn't Miranda have younger sisters besides Oriana? Okay, for the first few years Lawson was unwilling to give up hope of recovering Oriana. But Oriana herself was a replacement for runaway Miranda. After a point, he had to realize he couldn't mold her as he saw fit and has no problems starting from scratch, Why didn't he?
This is really funnyDr. Doctor wrote...

Keeping a low profile perhaps? Think about it, if Lawson keeps introducing daughters to the world that randomly disappear it raises suspicions if another conveniently pops up to take that daughter's place. Creating a cover story that Oriana was "kidnapped" and that he's spent the last nineteen years searching for his daughter is more plausible than creating a replacement.
On the subject of fencing:
Shepard: (jabbed by rapier) Damnit Miranda, I'm not a pin cushion!
Miranda: Perhaps if you tried to dodge or parry my attacks you wouldn't get hit!
Shepard: At the rate we're going I'll die of blood loss before I figure out how to do that.
Miranda: Don't be silly, your dermal weave can blunt the effects of mass accelerator fire. You won't have any permanant damage.
Shepard: That's what you said about the engine room and I still have scars from that!
Miranda: (smirks) Well then why don't you just tell me where it hurts so I can kiss it better?

Hey guys, a quick update on the magazine. Since it comes out in like 3 days anyways, i'll take some pictures tomorrow at work and upload a link to them here. Rifled through the rest of the article tonight, and it's mostly just basic stuff except for the list of some of the returning VA's and it has a page article on the Galaxy At War system, with a picture of the Galaxy Map that's divided into separate "areas". Looks pretty interesting. But yeah, tomorrow i'll take some terrible iPhone pics and upload em to Photobucket and share.

This discussion about Miranda fencing makes me wonder if the Omni-Blade will be available to NPC's. I can sort of picture Miranda going Syrio Forel on a bunch of Cerberus Troopers if she does fence
That sounds awesome! Thanks!mranderson25 wrote...

Miranda would probably be better with a smaller weapon like a combat knife as opposed to a cumbersome sword.

Swords used in fencing (I assume you're talking about) are anything but cumbersome.

Using a fencing sword in CQB is like trying to put out a fire by pissing into it.
