Does anybody can answers me if Miranda is confirmed for ME3, cause i dont exactly know, and i see on IMDB.com that Yvonne will repeat the role as Miranda, but i can't find if Bioware confirmed and neither a pic of Miranda in ME3.

Miranda is definitely in the game. There hasn't been any official news other than that. As for Yvonne reprising the role, it's been assumed pretty much all along to be the case (hence imbd.com having that info), but we don't actually know for certain that she will be back yet.

In all seriousness, though, that's going to suck Image IPB

I mean, Beattie was 100% pure awesome as Mordin. Wierd.

Yeah, he was. Willing to give the new VA as honest a shot as I can, but, well, I wrote a paper on how Beattie's portrayal in particular was a step forward in games being perceived as powerful storytelling devices, and how he turned a great script into a legendary one with his memorable tones. It's rough.

I think the odds are still in our favor here with Yvonne, though. I mean, it's not like BioWare based Mordin's facial features on his voice actor.

Well, Mordin was the best ME2-exclusive squadmate. He deserves to have the best voice possible.

Beattie was really amazing. However, I think it simply may be a financial issue... If you consider that ME3 combines both ME1 & ME2 actors, many of them not cheap at all (Carrie-Anne Moss, Martin Sheen) and many who became much bigger between ME1/ME2 and ME3 so their salary also increased (Raphael Sbarge is now starring in hit TV drama for example), then it's possible they had no choice but replace some actors who's characters had smaller role this time, like Mordin :/

Or perhaps it was some other issue. But recasts are unfortunately not uncommon, neither in gaming world, neither on TV or in the movie industry

*fingers crossed for Yvonne*

Indeed, Isaac. I was just really impressed with the seemingly 100% retention rate for VAs between ME1 and ME2 and crossed my fingers for lightning in a bottle. Hopefully Beattie was the only significant casualty.

What was Beattie asking for that justified replacing him? A damn castle?

They pulled it off with ME2, but maybe weren't so lucky with ME3 :/ We'll see. There's still hope for Mordin, but something would have to happen like NOW since the game's going gold in a month so in 4 weeks, it's gonna be a done deal

When the rumors first started during E3 I got the feeling the ME3 wouldn't live up to my expectations. Beattie confirming it along with some leaked information solidified it. And I said it many times before (other people have started using it in fact) Beattie did for ME2 what Heath Ledger did for TDK.

Me too. The whole Beattie thing is really the only major thing I'm disappointed in so far.

Mordin is better than all of those you mentioned; what is this blasphemy? Although Legion is cool.

As a fan hell yeah it's great. If you take a step back and look at it objectively you can see where they forced some stuff in, where they dropped the ball, and where other stuff would have been a perfect fit.

But it's really a wait and see type of deal because we don't know whats going to be on that disc on May 6th.

It's called personal taste? Just like there are people who loved Ledger in TDK but Aaron Eckhart as Two Face was still their favourite character/performance :P

Martin Sheen did what he always does. it wasn't that it was an exceptional performance, but that he's an exceptional actor.

Yvonne Strahovski surprised me during her loyalty mission and a couple fo of the romance lines. Enough to say that I'm behind her 110% for a reprisal.

Douglas did a great job at conveying Legion's confusion of organic behavior, but there wasn't enoguh there for me to say he did an awesome job. Not his fault though what was there was awesome.

IMO Beattie stole the show. He sold the part like a con artist.

I thought the way I was so over-the-top (using the term blasphemy) made it clear that I wasn't actually trying to tell you that you were wrong preferring certain characters.
