Can we actually assume they are genetically identical? My immediate reaction would be to say they are probably not, because apparently Mr. Lawson messes with the DNA sequences on one of the chromosomes. They would likely be similar, but not necessarily identical.

Miranda herself says that they're genetically identical.

That she's technically her twin.

I don't think they are identical either. She certainly looks similar, but not exactly the same:Image IPB

Part of me wants to say "They made her looks slightly different so we could tell the 2 apart", but I see where you're coming from.

You're right, I had forgotten that.

Lemon I agree with you. Also, IMO, they made her look different because creating a young looking Yvonne would have been very difficult. Although who knows? Maybe after aging a bit, she will look more like Yvonne in ME3?

Well, also, in ME2, Oriana only appears for the briefest of moments. So, I could see not spending a lot of time on that. But in ME3, Oriana will make a pretty significant appearance, seemingly.

How do you know Mr Lawson does that ? Indeed, he could certainly do that but on the other hand, I recall Miranda saying " She is my genetic twin, we're identical . " .

True. Although on the flip-side, BW may choose to keep her looks exactly the same as ME2 just so we recognize her. Just another thing we'll have to wait to see.

Well, when talking about how she was created, earlier on, she talks about her father tinkering with the mix of desirable traits, etc.

So, anyway, I think the genetics could be pretty different every time, theoretically. But, I had forgotten about that line where Miranda establishes that Oriana is her twin. So, I guess it wasn't different, this time.

Oriana is 19, remember? Miri is 35. Miri may have looked like Oriana when she was 19. Oriana is her Genetic Twin, so they are identical, but they look different because Miri is 16 years older than Oriana.

NO!!!! I'm NOT calling Miri old at all! If they were to be born at the same time, they would look COMPLETELY identical to the point to where we can't tell which one Miri is.

So that's where there isn't that much resemblance AND a very significant amount of resemblance at the same time. There is only the age difference.

PS: I don't like that image of Oriana for the simple fact that it represents the horrible outcome if you don't persaude Miri to speak to Oriana.:(

I think you may be right, even though Miranda looks like she is 25, this could be a solid explanation for different VA and face .

Well given the fact that she can live for about 200 years ( I'm not sure but an average human lifespan is like 150 in ME ), she is not old at all ;) .

*snip*

I think what it comes down to is that Miranda and Oriana have different hairstyles, skin tones and have plucked their eyebrows differently. ;)

Haven't kept the age in mind... maybe she will really look exactly the same once she's as old as Miranda... BUT a the moment she is not. In my opinion they need 2 VA's for 2 different ages.

A woman's voice in her thirtys and her twentys aren't that different. All Yvonne has to do is change the accent and inflections and there you go.

Instead of fighting off Reapers or mercenaries, Shepard is chasing young whippersnappers off his lawn.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I felt the need to share this photo.

http://verydemotivat...ented-steam.jpg

Don't complain that it's off topic, we've done that a LOT.

And now to get back ON topic, this page's lack of Miranda is disturbing.

She's beautiful in all of her photos.

The only one's where she doesn't look that great are ones that have ****** poor lighting.
