If Yvonne isn't reprising her role,I at least hope the replacement keeps the accent. I couldn't handle it without the accent.

Well, I think the odds of them finding an equally good actress with the same accent are perhaps... slim. Not sure what they'd do about that.

Hopefully it was never an issue.

After what seems like 50,000 years, I'm finally back on online on this site.
Anyways, if Yvonne can't do the VO, then lets hope we get a good one.

This is why I love fan art. We make our own stories, and in this case, she makes it funny.

A huge pet peeve of mine is hearing actors trying out accents that they don't have mastered yet. That wouldn't be acceptable in my book. But it couldn't be impossible to find a native Australian speaker with a relatively deep female voice. Now if they did need to do so, I hope they and the new actress had enough sense to not try and mimic Yvonne which is what usually happens when one voice actor has to replace another in the middle of a project.

And before people get on me for that, yes Yvonne's voice is considered relatively "deep" for a woman.

I lean toward thinking she'll be back. I don't think it's her favorite role ever, but no rumors of bad blood and the Chuck staff has had her essentially play Miranda at least three times. We knew for months that there were problems with Beattle.

Agreed. I think that would annoy me more anything. If they did go with a replacement, I think I would rather someone with a British accent or something. Not american, but not faux-Yvonne either.

Well, the only reason that I can imagine why they recasted Mordin is a monetary issue (maybe Beattle wanted more money and BW never contacted him again).

btw, what if Claudia Black is voicing Miranda? At least she is Australian.

If she weren't already very busy with Shep, I'd suggest Jen Hale in her Bastila voice or Courtney Taylor. All my favorite VAs have roles...

Hard to say when it comes to behind-the-scenes stuff like that. However, jtav is right that there has been nothing comparable to that in Strahovski's case, as far as the rumors are concerned and, of course, the infamous email.

Her voice with Yvonne's face would be so wierd lol. To a point, anyone's would be, of course. But maybe a little less so with someone whose face I would have a harder time picturing.

I had no idea Claudia did the voicing for Chloe.  That's too F**king awesome! Yeah, she'd be acceptable if we had to get a new VA.

We'll know for sure next month (or sooner if someone interviews her and asks about her work on ME3) once the official list is out.

I expect Yvonne to come back for ME3.
I mean, they based the whole character around her and I bet BW is willing to set a lot of resources on bringing her back.

And I have a very hard time believing there wouldn't be some kind of rumor at some point. Indeed, all the rumors--IMDB and alleged ComicCon comment have gone the other way.

Well the demo is rumored to drop next Tuesday, or the date it will be released. But I doubt anyone other than the main crew will be there, and I'm pretty sure the 20 minute beta footage will be the demo. So it would hve to be in an interview.

If Yvonne isn't coming back to voice Miranda there will be no point for me to even buy ME3. They've already shafted all my personal favorite characters to the side lines (save for Garrus) and expect me to be ok about it.

2nd edit: 13 pages until we hit 1000 pages

There's no acceptable alternative to voice Miranda. It's Yvonne or nobody. For me the character is dead, if it's not her.

I'm not really that concerned about Yvonne returning for ME3. She's pretty much been playing Miranda on Chuck for awhile now, and I see no reason why she'd sign on for one game but not the next one.

I think it's more the other way around.
Why would BW design their character after an actress that appears in both games and just let her voice one of them?

Yvonne definitely pulls off the femme fatale look.

Well, I don't imagine that would have been the plan. But, things do happen, whether it be scheduling, or money, or whatever. Still, there's really no reason to believe that's the case here.

No, he got replaced.

I don't think they've announced his new VA though.
