Kaidan always seemed to be the royally hard entering the relationship guy. He makes sure Shepard understands what's going on, he also tells that he's not the person who enters the relationships easily when recalls BAaT and what teenagers were doing there. So it's easy to assume he considers Shepard's feelings as something deep and serious.
And in "may I have you both?" scenario he suddenly finds out that Shepard already wants to get laid with another person. Instantly breaking the "true love" scenario experience, as for me.

On a more positive note: I've finally got my bachelor diploma today, so the rest of summer is mine for practising in photo manips. Finally^_^

EDIT: well, it seems I'm doomed=]. ToP again. I really love OP picture of this thread, and entire "Kaidan-Shepard-Liara" screenie  would likely be my victim.

Not all men are along the same mindset of "oh I get to sleep w/ two hot chicks this is awesome" There's a reason it's mainly referred to a fantasy...in that yes, in your mind it sounds like a good deal, but in reality maybe you're morals and personal beliefs would never allow you to cross that line. Hell, I could have a fantasy about getting pulled over by a hot cop and doin the nasty but in reality, I would NEVER just throw myself at a complete stranger like that.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of it that way.

But that said, I do think that Kaidan is definitely a better LI for femshep than Liara. Underrated character for sure.

To each their own as they say. Personally, and luckily also according to my boyfriend, suggesting the possibilites of a threesome just seems to belittle the seriousness of relationship and your comitment to that one person. But again, that's just my own personal beliefs.

In regards to Kaidan though, I believe that he truely respects Shepard way too much to consider that kind of thing, especially with her being his commanding officer and all. He even mentions in either the first or second convo after Eden Prime, if Shepard implies to certain shennanigans possibly occuring on Jump Zero, that he isn't one to take sex lightly, so I highly doubt that he would be interested in partaking in a threesome just for the sake of fullfilling a fantasy.

Kudos to you for speaking your mind here. 

Having said that...

2 girls 1 guy is a common fantasy for men - but it's that, a fantasy.  The reality doesn't often work as well as one hopes.  For instance, a lesbian couple would want jack all to do with a man.  Then you have jealousy issues, pursuing the next kink for fulfillment, threats of courts martial if things don't go well, lower deck rumors questioning masculinity (of the "can't satisfy his woman" variety - guys IRL get very touchy when you bring up certain, uh, devices), and all other troublesome topics. 

Best to keep the fantasy a fantasy, at least until you are in a committed relationship and your partner is willing to explore.  At that point, where Shepard and Kaidan didn't even kiss, he was asking for confirmation of pursuing a relationship - wrong time to ask for a threesome. 

Reverse the roles - if Kaidan had asked, how many people would have wished for a Renegade interrupt to slap his face?

Kaidan Alenko is one of my top 3 favorite characters. (Defualt Male Shep, Kaidan and Miranda) It would be a mistake to leave Kaidan out of the picture in ME3. I am pleased to see him returning in ME3 with a sexier face and hairdo. I didn't think that possible.

If you think about it, Having Kaidan as your Commander (being a Spectre and all) would be an opportunity of a life time. He is nice, calm and has a niche to get to know those around him.  If I were in space, fighting aliens, I would want him as a commaner, knowing he would not likely get pissed off at you.

Not saying I am a bad Commander.

I'm not quite sure if I like the idea of being a subordinate (and I'm not sure if that idea will pleases my femShep), I mean I just love Kaidan and all that, but the Normandy belongs to Shepard XD!!!!...S/he went to hell and back in that boat, s/he "stole" the ship from Cerberus, so...s/he will be the only commander.

It could be fun, but I don't picture much Kaidan as commander of the Normandy.

Shepard is still the protagonist. I doubt anyone who is not comfortable with the idea of Shepard being a subordinate has to worry. Not to mention that there was a tweet a while back which implied just as much.
