I didnt even see a 'smile' with Ash, with Kaidan it was nice to see that he liked seeing you. Ash just seemed more surprised.

That's my opinion anyway.

there was a smile of greeting with Ash. if you look carefully, they don't just get identical dialogue in that scene, they get exact same animations. Kaidan's lips just seem to be slightly more expressive then Ashley's.

um, i don't want to depress you even more, but i'm afraid they're done with giving away those xbox codes, the fb app doesnt work anymore (at least for me). it's just 2 more days, we've been waiting so long, we can do this!

what i'm afraidof is those days between 6th and 9th (european release date), i'll be so jealous and hungry for any info that i won't be able to focus on anything else, but on the other hand, i'm gonna die inside if i see any major spoilers and that's unavoidable... i'll have to lock myself in a closet, far away from the internet somehow, god it's gonna be hard

So this really doesn't have to do with Kaidan. But my main femshep was a spacer, so I'm wondering if we will hear from her mom in ME3 since we heard from her in the first two. Shes a commander of a ship if I'm not mistaken, so that means she will be fighting the reapers too. I wonder if there will be a side mission that deals with her mom, or if we will hear from her again. It would be awesome if she got to meet Kaidan.

Ooh, demo pictures are cool here? Yay! I photoshopped up a little picture of Kaidan and Kaelia (my only femShep). The tension was palpable and his "I used to" made me melt. I could almost imagine him thinking of a private moment there. Raphael Sbarge is so good.

The two shots I have here are the one where Shepard first sees Kaidan (a somewhat longing look, well done) and when Kaidan's about to say "I used to." AUGH. Now I must write more Shenko. This demo has inspired me! *scurries away*

awww.. honestly, I think it has to do with lip thickness... thiner lips seem to animate better in ME.  that said, I liked it that theysound differently.  becasue despite identical dialogue it shows them as different people.  Ashley was always the more brash impatient one, while Kaidan more thoughtful, more accepting.

honest opinion?  the scene is done with a certain degree of ambiguity to allow for people's headcanons.  not becasue it actualy means all the things people want that scene to mean.

That femshep is so gorgeous! And I can't help but notice Kaidan's expression. I'm sure even a non-romanced Kaidan has so much love and admiration for Shepard.

Also does it look like her hair is moving? Like it'd actually swish back and forth like real hair?

Someone said earlier that the Facebook App codes ran out. I don't really know anyone else that has some left. I read else where that https://twitter.com/#!/StickTwiddlers were giving some out, but they ran out today and won't give anymore out till tomorrow.

Aww, thank you! I'm very proud of her, she's the only Shepard in my world. But yeah, the expressions really blew me away. I'm curious if they'll change even more in the full version of the game/with a romanced import. Here's hoping!

You know, I'll have to play through again after work and see if the hair is moving. It does look like it's moving in this shot, doesn't it? o_o I will check and update you tonight!

The hair only moves if Shepard moves his/her head, but no its not animated to move like real hair like if there is wind blowing around you. The devs purposely left out animating the hair because it takes up space for the game.

The jaw and mouth are a nice match. The rest? Not so much.

This reminds me of the 80s-90s where the rationale for casting someone as Batman was how good his chin looked.
