Wow, finally catching up after all the excitement about early demo access.

I have an extra demo code if anybody is still interested. I'll be hanging around for about 30 minutes so just PM me if you want it. I want to thank noxpanda for giving me a code yesterday. I actually won a code yesterday but, in my excitement, wrote down the code wrong. I had already closed the window and didn't realize until today that it actually saved the code for me. Don't really check my Facebook so forgive me for just finding out right now.

@ demo:  I really enjoyed the gameplay, though I had a bit of trouble with the cover/rolling mechanics. It's something I'm gonna need to adapt to. Whenever I wanted to get into cover, I would roll and vice versa.  It got a little annoying after a while. I played with every class, and I must say that Vanguard was my favorite. Definitely making my soldier a Vanguard for ME3.

@ hairstyles: What the hell is up with those buns? My Sheps all use that hairstyle so I was a little disappointed at how much it's changed. I lol'd at the comment about keeping a spare ammo pack in there. I really hope they smooth everything out.

@ Anderson: I, too, was a little miffed at the way he was acting. Don't get me wrong. I know that he's stuck his neck out for Shepard numerous times, but he almost makes it seem like you owe him for trusting you or something. I played as both mShep and fShep and liked Meer's delivery of "That and your good word" better than Hale's. It sounded more cheeky...exactly how I felt after Anderson went on about Shepard being grounded and whatnot. I guess there's a lot more to the intro we've yet to see so maybe Anderson's attitude will make more sense once we play through that part in the game.

@ Vega's "You know the Commander" line: I took his line as meaning something more personal. I mean, he just witnessed Kai and Shep greeting each other pretty informally ("Shepard/Kaidan" as opposed to "Commander/Major"). I could see his gears turning and speculating just how much Shep and Kai know each other.

@ Kaidan: Saved the best for last. Holy sh*t, he's hot! My heart was already beating wildly with his appearance in the trailers and all those screenshots everyone was posting. But, damn!! Seeing him in the demo, hearing his voice...*swoon*. I couldn't stop squeeing! My husband was sitting next to me as I was playing and he's like, "Okay, I get it, you love him. Can you please stop that now?". His "I used to" line made me sad, though.  It kinda reminded me of place-that-shall-not-be-named. I took it as more of a "I don't know who she is anymore"...but that's just me being angsty, lol.

Sorry for the long post. The demo's gotten me so excited for the game! I can't wait to start playing and romancing Kaidan again!

I really wish PC gamers had a chance to get the demo before Valentine's Day! ahhhh. At least it's only two days away.

Same! Ash and Kaidan are my go-to crew in ME1 pre-Virmire. Although I don't typically use Jack on missions, she's my favorite character in ME2.

Jack is attached to me at the hip. I roll vanguard, so we tend to Rambo enemies whilst the other squaddie debuffs. On insanity, I debuff and charge, and when I do it stupidly, she's the pullbot that saves my arse.

Not a fan of him yelling, but his husky voice has almost hypnotising effect.


On topic of "Kaidan's face model" - I still claim that it's Raphael Sbarge when it comes to facial features, Casey Hudson when we talking about haircut and claim that "blondes are rare and almost everyone are of mixed race" determined the coloring.

I'll be honest, I wasn't a fan of Carth Onasi when I first picked up Mass Effect 1, so the voice wasn't working it's magic on me back then, but after a while it stopped being Carth's voice and I started associating it primarily with Kaidan. So I get all excited when I hear Raphael Sbarge's audioblogs, in a way I totally wouldn't have back then. Personality makes people (and voices) more attractive to me.

I didn't make the connection until I re-watched the series recently and realized that Kaidan and the weirdo were one in the same. But luckily now RS plays a hottie therapist so I can stop associating Kaidan's voice with sexual deviance.

Same. I was more or less neutral toward Carth, but I didn't like his voice.

...Didn't recognise it as the same bloke until later, though. When I first heard Kaidan my reaction was something like, "Where have I heard this guy before? Oh god, why does he sound like a surfer dood--take a DRINK OF WATER, GODDAMMIT."

...But then I got used to it. Oddly, I don't have the same reaction with Sbarge's normal speaking voice.

So which Femshep are you going to recreate in the demo?? I was gonna do Teddy, but now Skylar sorta soared ahead as my main Shenko.... I have about..9 or 10 Sheps..... all over the board, and Sky seems to be my new go to gal.

Plus she's a Sentiel and Kaidan's a sentinel= tech/biotic love!
