What is this about Mouse?
haha. Mouse was the duct-rat Thane knew from a while back. When questioning him you can intimidate him, persuade, or bribe him. I chose to bribe him because according to Thane, he always dreamed of seeing earth, the blue skies things he only knew of from fairy tales.
I was like, oh, he'll be safe on earth. Kelham's men will never find him there. Stupid stupid stupid.
Wow, I've played this game atleast 6 times and never done this. The things you learn on he Kaidan board...

Right now my favorite song is Sofi Needs a Ladder by Deadmau5. Fitting tribute, she was gonna be an ice queen till she meets Thane. I don't have the heart to cheat on Kaid.
Lol, i'm doing the same thing. Just started a new ME2 playthrough and going to romance Thane. Can't bring myself to cheat on Kaidan.

You know I think Thane's voice is sexy. Not particularly jazzed about his occupation, his past or the spiritual stuff. But I think what made one of my Sheps fall for him was the loyalty mission when you have the opportunity to punch his son. He's not surprised at all. If anything he seems to think "Fair enough"
I'm scared for what Orphne will do when she sees Kaidan again. See what I did there?:innocent:

I put in an old face code wow there is some changes to character generator but I got her back to the way she was.
This was wayyyyy back but I do think Anderson knew there was something between Kaidan and Shep just based off his reaction towards her death. Why did I feel like Anderson was pissed at me in the demo?? Did anyone else get that vibe?
I've played every class now and I have to say that I've actually fallen in love with Adept. Inflitrator is my favorite but damn Adept was cool.

Thane's voice is sexy (there's just something about the husky voice, eh?). I also like his calm composure. I had to have 2 playthroughs, one where I romanced Kaidan (the "canon" one) and one with Thane. And if Kaidan is romanceable as a "new" option then I will start a new non-imported ME3 playthrough just for that too!dirae wrote...

it's the 13th here in Oz, I wonder, does this mean we get the demo on 15th due to timezone difference?
I would say so, I'd be very surprised if we (aussies) get it tomorrow! I originally wasn't going to play it but not I think I'll just do the escape from earth and play with the CC and MP of course ... But that is all!
with other demo's we've received it on the day advertised, much to the disgust of the American's in the forums.. We'll get tomorrow night around 8 or 9ish AEST

Oooh. I don't think I've thought of it that way. Not that I put it past Anderson at all. He's a smart guy.Silverpearl1977 wrote...

I don't see it that way and I've watched both the Sheploo demo and the femshep demo. He's just gruff and stressed out and in his formal blue attire in headquarters. Its a different setting. Plus, I think they're trying to convey urgency and distance. Both Shep and Anderson are using their "projection" voices since much of the time they're across a room. The beginning because its kind of like West Wing. And later because they're running for their lives. You can tell from their last scene together that Anderson still cares about his protoge. Why did I feel like Anderson was pissed at me in the demo?? Did anyone else get that vibe?
If you look at it another way, ME3 is made very much with noobs in mind. They're trying to convey the characters in as efficient way as possible. Just because Anderson is in a fancy outfit doesn't mean he's not a badass. Are you listening? Did you forget? Don't forget he's a badass! Did you forget yet? Huh, huh? Look! He's jumping and shooting and stuff. See? SEE?! Listen, too! He's yelling! Tough guys yell and are curt.

That is true he was in a hurry. I'm sure also being frustrated for defending Shep for the last 3 yrs?? No one ever took him serious. Basically wanted him to shut up about Shepard. Also did Anderson look back first at Shepard kinda like "hey Kaidan there is Shep?" or did Kaidan look back first and then Anderson look back. I think I need to do one more run to pay attention.
@Queen-That is cute of your man to say that:P

That's so cute! My husband told me that he would always see me from afar (we met in college where we both played soccer) and thought I was really stuck-up so he just never wanted to approach me. We finally met through a mutual friend, and the rest is history. Guess things happen for a reason.
@ Silver: I felt the same way about Anderson. I posted a few pages back on how I felt like he was acting like Shepard owed him for trusting him/her. I'm guessing the actual game intro holds more dialogue than the demo, and we'll see a sort of explanation for his curtness. I understand that he's defended Shepard on more than one occassion, especially with the whole Reaper business, but it almost sounds like he's really tired of doing that. Oh well, we'll see soon enough.

I also have the sneaking suspicion that bioware doesn't want people to think Anderson is just some pushover pencil-pusher.
Huh? What words am I mashing together?
I'm feeling a little let down that Emily Wong doesn't do more to convince people. I made you, Emily Wong. If she used her newfound fame to make people believe Shepard, then Anderson's job would be easier. At least that's the goal I had in mind when I helped her.
It would be an interesting twist if Al-Jilani became Shepard's biggest supporter. Cue the crescendo.

Ok I thought so....how interesting.........now I have a million questions running thru my head.
I wanted Emily Wong as my reporter on the Normandy. I was really hoping for that one. Didn't happen.
Damn I want this game NAOW! I will just have to keep myself busy finishing up my Renegade ME2 run and playing MP when it releases on the 14th.
Also I wanted to say sorry to Vault. I have nightmares like that. I hope you give them hell. Demand free shipping!!! I hope there is somewhere better you can go to in the future but give them hell at least.
Edit: @Soccer-I'm glad he at least gave you a chance. I guess he realized your not that stuck up after all huh ^^

Shepard is out his/her lowest point at the beginning of ME3. They are grounded and court martial-ed. Shepard is alone, we don't see any squadmates standing by him/her before the Reapers attacked. People think Shepard is crazy and no doubt Shepard is tired of being called a lunatic and losing friends to these things for a galaxy that doesn't seem to want his/her help anyway. Shepard has a officially hit rock bottom.
And then this happens:

And the hero rises again.

Nope. Can't stop myself.
Doesn't saving all the people in Bringing Down the Sky cancel out Arrival, though?

Or nerdy guys that love nerdy girls. Got my hubby into Mass Effect. He asks questions and I find myself explaining and theorizing in D&D/pathfinder/comicbook terms.
"Well, the reapers are kind of like a mix between Galacticus, Brainiac and HAL, I guess.... "
"Paragon is like being a Paladin.... no Joker is chaotic good, maybe chaotic neutral.... "
"I think Harbinger is getting into Spidey Symbiote territory the way he/she/it talks about Shep"
The fact that I can say these things and he knows what I mean make me indescribably happy.

Lol, well you can say that saving the galaxy from Sovereign is pretty big, too. But I don't think that people believed that Shepard was crazy all along. Probably, they think of Shepard like Saren, a once great hero who descended into madness. No matter the amazing things you've done in the past, you can't just suddenly go out and start destroying entire systems. That's how the majority sees it. You spouting off crazy **** while jetting around forbidden areas and killing hundreds of thousands of people.
Still, I think everyone wants to believe Shepard, especially if Shepard is a paragon. So they kind of let him/her off easy, and let Shepard work with Cerberus with this crazy Reaper stuff. Cause hey, at least it's helping the colonists, even if Shepard's reasons seem a bit weird. They don't actually try to stop him/her until Arrival. I think that's the "Ok, that's enough, you've gone too far," moment. Even then they aren't that hard on Shepard.

my husband told me that he knew I was the one, when we went out on our first date and we were both completely broke, being poor students at the time, but he got us pizza and there were onions on it. I hate onions. I mean, seriously hate them. he offered to get me another slice, but I told them I'd just pick them off (and did - I felt bad making him pay extra, knowing exactly how much it sucked spending all your money on books and stuff) so yeah. that's how he knew O_O my hubby is a weirdo and I adore him
and in some ways, the reason I like Kaidan as much as I do is because in many ways, they are very similar.

I agree, that this is Shep's lowest point. Everyone that he/she fought with is scattered, and oh yeah... Shep took out a solar system with 300K dead.
That'll weigh on Skylar's soul until the day she dies. She's gonna jump headfirst into fighting in the war, like atonement.. although she knows thousands will die by her hand as a result.
The fact that she's basically been killing since she was 18 isn't helping matters much any either.
