So the final (for now) chapter is up: If It Meant Living-46: Arrival / Deviant Art Link.  Wow, what an epic, fun journey writing that has been!  Now I need to remember how to just play a game for awhile...

My husband did up the story in some beautiful eBooks, anyone who is interested can download them free, just see my Deviant Art Journal entry for directions.

I am going to try to leave the forums after today.  I know you guys will be good, and I already know lots of spoilers, but with the game "Gold" anything can leak.  And it's almost here, so I can wait.

@ dirae: Oh, I definitely agree that it's just to help the story move along. And, quite honestly, I enjoyed doing all those side quests. However, if this had been "real life", I think Shepard would be a little p.o.'d at having to do all that stuff for him, lol. My Shepard wants to trust him, but she's just so disenchanted at everything (and everyone) else that she would rather focus on the mission than trying to get everyone to trust in her again.

Sorry for all that spoiler thing. I've been in my grotto for almost 6 months so I know NOTHING about leaked script, except the sentence of Garrus I wrote and the fact that there is nothing in it about romance conclusions. Everything else is only brainstorming, like Mineralica said.
But I should have known better that people were the same everywhere... <_<

Guys, just a quick request. I'd really like to continue to hang out in this thread, but I don't want to see any spoilers, leaked script or from the actual game. Marketing stuff is fair game (trailers and demo footage) but I've worked hard to stay away from the leaks. It's become really difficult, with me having to avert my eyes at the last second to avoid getting spoiled (like my brain just starts reading naturally). I'm pretty much going to try and stay here since as I said before, demo hacking and leaked game streams are going to cause the main board to be unreadable.

So let's just work hard to keep this thread spoiler free so all of us can continue hanging out here at the very least

As far as I'm aware there are no leaks. Everything people post here is just demo footage or pictures. I highly doubt anyone would post actual footage from the finished game if they could even find it.

I'm the same, I can quite happily play a game. already knowing half of it. Spoilers dont bother me at all. I've watched countless movies and played countless games. Spoilers and big OMG moments don't have the same effect on me as it did years ago. If there was a spoiler showing how to get Kaidan in bed then I would happily watch it or read it, atleast then I know I won't get it wrong and he'd dump me lol

Well, there's the leaked script, and also I know people will start mining the demo for info as soon as they get their hands on it, which is tomorrow. Also there's been times when people get early deliveries, so while it might not be happening right now, it will definitely start to happen soon.

I don't mind little things like the intro and character reveals, but when you spoil all the secrets of the game, it's just no fun for me. It's like, I read the spoilers to Chronicle before going to see it and those crazy moments and surprises would've effected me a lot more had I just went to see the movie. I do have a tendency to check out spoilers, but this game is special to me. I really want to experience as something brand new.

Don't worry about it. You were nice enough to put a bold possible spoilers warning. A lot of people don't do that. Just wanted to put out a general request to keep this place clean, so people don't have to leave the forums before the game

Yeah, that's inevitable. There were people posting streaming video of DA2 last year 2-3 weeks before the game released. I watched some of it out of curiosity, but I'm steering clear with ME3, even though I've read all spoilers. Reading spoilers (that may be slightly outdated) and actually watching someone play the game are very different to me. I want to keep the powerful first experience for myself.

I think that's one good thing with MP...it may keep some of us occupied and help fill the wait. Only 3 weeks from tomorrow until we all get our Kaidan!!! :O:O<3<3<3:wub::wub:

Kaidan approves though nearly 3 years is long enough.
You could just point out the fact it's pretty much sold out now, if you're in the UK you wouldn't be able to get it with Game's issues atm. Or that it's get it now at the RRP or later from ebay for 1000% of the RRP.

Hmmm, I've been back to thinking about Kelly Shep since I brought myself back to the ralm of ME this past week. I had to leave or I would have driven myself crazy waiting.

Kelly being the earthborn sole survivor has always been the harder, cynical sort, and I imagine right about now her response to just about everything is inclined to be a massive FU. Possibly ramped up to an FU and the horse you rode in on for certain people and situations. She's dealing with the stresses and trauma of everything by just pulling back and very firmly not caring mixed in with a massive amount of anger. As far as she's concerned she's gone out on a limb time and again and done her best for everyone and simply been chewed up, spat out and thrown away like so much street trash. It was stupid of her to expect she'd ever be treated like anything other than what she was and apparently still is. So what does she still owe anyone again? Let the galaxy burn. Who cares?

I would have laughed too. I mean, come on! That's a pretty silly thing to ask. You could more easily go without food than Kaidan...or at least just eat Ramen noodles or something.

@ dirae: I absolutely understand what you're saying. Hackett is one of the few people out there that's actually helping Shepard. I just don't think my Shepard understands that, lol. I mentioned before that she's just at her lowest point at the begining of ME3, so she feels like everyone is against her. I did like his response to that message, though.

All this talk about Hackett got me thinking about Arrival...I was wondering how things would be different if Kaidan had also gone along. A covert operation with two of the Alliance's best marines.

You know, all this talk may turn out to be pointless. I'd forgotten that Hackett is gathering the fleet to defend earth at the time Shepard is grounded. When the attack comes Anderson asks "Why haven't we got word from Hackett?" which implies he's in orbit at the time and would have seen the reapers coming. Then at the end of the demo first mission they exit earth's atmosphere and you see the human fleet in ruins.

Does heavy speculation count as a spoiler? I hate the idea of Hackett dying. But also I like this as a story device. He's one of the most powerful men in human society. He's gathering all of earth's forces. But they get absolutely snuffed out within seconds of the Reapers arriving. It's tragic and shocking and oh, so sudden. All that prestige, all those resources-- he knew the reapers were coming and was arming himself as best he could and it wasn't even a blip on the reapers' radar.

I'm very conflicted right now

I'm doing another ME2 run with a new femshep,who romanced Kaidan in ME1.but for ME2 Garrus has caught her eye.I just feel so gulity with Kaidan's pic facedown:crying:

But my main shep is completly faithful to Kaidan so I wanted to see what would happen in ME3 if one of my sheps went with someone else.
