Therefore I voted for Kaidan/Vega aswell. Woo 
Damnit Bioware! If ME3 gives me another Virmire heartache... I swear I feel like i'm in the minority sometimes because the choice on Virmire was the hardest for me throughout the entire franchise so far, no doubt.
Yet it seems a lot of people base it on which character they hated most. Be it "alien-racist" Ashley or "boring" Kaidan.

Darnit! They are deeper than that! 
I might actually try saving Ashley one day, I miss her.
But.. but that would mean killing off Kaidan.....

though arrival really showed me, how fail cake-ish I am on my own ... it's not even the issue of taking out the bad guys, it's more the issue of being the only one they concentrate their fire on

I usually carefully decide who to pick basing on Shepard's personality, then come home after 10 hours in university, think "to hell what Shepard thinks, I'll pick whom I like!" and this ends in Miranda/Zaeed. Expecting similar Kaidan/James situation with ME3.

About Arrival - my main isue is the very first attack when if Shepard's unlucky, all 5 guards run directly at her. No way I can take all of them fast enough on Insanity for most of classes. Later it becomes simplier because guards tend to take cover... Vanguard is especially pleased. Reminds about the value of people covering Shepard

Couple of reasons. He's a human male. Some guys automatically view it as a 'competition' thing for their 'most-handsome-badass-gonna-get-all-the-girls' Shepard. Sad but truth. Look how much Kaidan is beloved by female (and gay male) audience, yet tons of straight guys have been ridiculing him for years. "Whiny! Boring! Stupid hair!" etc. Jacob gets even more hate. Another thing is of coure the 'new character' thing. Since he's the only one revealed so far, everything concentrates at him. We've seen that with ME2 characters as well, nothing new. We know nothing about him yet personality wise, we haven't even heard his voice.

Last but not least, this is a fan forum. Self-explanatory. People will complain about everything.

Back to Kaidanek

Since the Comic-Con demos are suppoused to be completly new than E3 ones and open to people to play, I pray some Kaidan fan gets the demo on tape with everything Kaidan he finds! Tomorrow it starts! Can't wait for news! AAAA!!!

I agree.  I thought something similar to this at the end of KOTOR 2 (can't quite figure out WHY, but for some reason, I did).  But yeah, that would be really cool.

Thanks for the welcome messages!  I've been wanting to poke my head in for awhile, but the rest of BSN scares me. Your drawings are so adorable, Criz!  I hope that even if Kaidan isn't bi, that MShep still has the
opportunity to express feelings for Kaidan and be turned down in a kind
and meaningful way.  After people have waited so long for a m/m romance
option, whoever it is, it better be great!

LOVE all of the artwork!  I have to admit, my response to ME3 - Buddies was something along the lines of "OMG it's Alistair Shepard!" Not a bad thing, IMO.

My Shepard doesn't think Kaidan owes her any apologies over Horizon, and hopes to have the chance to apologize for not giving him a better explanation.  (And I *really* wish ME2 had had more opportunities to work against Cerberus from the inside, since we had no choice but to work with them).  I want them to have to sort of work at getting back together, but I hope they don't waste a lot of time doing it.  My Shep doesn't blame Kaidan at all, but after recently playing through the "when someone important/special to you is out on a ledge, you help them" conversation, it occurred to me that she might be hurt that he wasn't there for her, especially during the Arrival mission.  I wonder if he'd regret not living up to those words too, although it's totally understandable why he couldn't.

I voted for Kaidan and Garrus in the poll, 'cause aside from Kaidan and Ashley they were my favorites in ME1.  I'm looking forward to meeting Vega though.  I also loved Mordin in ME2.

It's probably because I have a soft spot for Tali.

This. I have no qualms about Vega and I'd rather reserve my judgement until I get to know more about this character. From how Kaidan used to be treated, I've learned that if I don't like a particular character, I will not go out of my way to ridicule and put the character's fans down. I detest this kind of cycle of irrational hate.

I actually like the idea of how Kaidan and Vega would interact with each other. I mean, I just don't think everything always has to be about Shepard (shocking I know).
