It's not importing face, it's copying face code. Don't know about imported from ME1 to ME2, but ME2 tweaked chars have this code displayed at "squad" screen in ME2, so it can be copied in ME3. Some faces were changed in process, though.

With XBox you can get a Face Code from the CC or Status screen that you can plug into the ME3 demo CC and it should (mostly) give you what your import face would look like.

I'm not sure about PC (I don't have either MEs on PC), so I don't know if they use Face Codes or not. Worst comes to worse... I'd guess you write down all your sliders and plug them into the ME3 demo CC?

PC sliders are a lot more analog than the xbox ones, so you'd have to take screen caps when you were creating your sheps.., and if you are like me, then, by the time you know to do that, it's too late From what I read up yesterday, the ME1 faces, when imported to ME2, were taken in as a series of morph values, so there is no direct correlation to the sliders - hence why there is no code if you imported without modification. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm a bit frustrated that 3 out of my 4 sheps I can't see til March. I did hack around with Gibbed to see the raw morph values, but it seems to be a very long winded process to reverse engineer the closest slider equivalent.

In other news, Kaidan in the demo: om nom nom. My Shepard will be on him faster than someone saying "Stop staring at him and get on him if you like him so much!" Mwhahahaha.

You aren't wrong. I tried to get the approximate values to do my Mira into the ME3 demo by going through the save game with Gibbed. I got frustrated and tried to recreate the best I could for the demo. Still, I won't be seeing the true Mira Shep until March.

Actually, its a pretty good game. I only downloaded the demo for the cross-promo stuff and ended up buying the game. The demo is super easy to get through.

Missing the point. I don't care if its a good game. These company practices p*ss me off.  I hate cross promotional marketing.
Its fake, greedy, and I'm not gonna download yet ANOTHER demo. I want the actual Mass Effect 3 demo to unlock maybe even just ONE achievement or item for Mass Effect 3. Not fallout. Not dragonage. Not Spore. Mass Effect 3.

And I know this is a can of worms, but the dragon age armor in Mass Effect 2 was fug.

My favorite line in the demo was after running into Kirrahe, Garrus says "Why don't I have one of those?" He makes me laugh. It'll be a Kaidan/Garrus runthrough first. I wonder if I should use my love triangle Shep for that one...

Having now gotten over the initial squee of seeing Kaidan live, I'm enjoying playing around with powers more. And I gotta say, I love the shotgun. It was my go-to in ME1, but then I didn't touch it in ME2, because of range limitation. I'm so glad to have it back. Of course the Widow was my favorite in ME2, and tragically I have no idea what sniper rifles are like in ME3. Grr...

And also having gotten over the initial squee of seeing Kaidan live, I need moar. I know it's only 20 days til launch, but I am so dying to get my hands on this game. There's only so many times I can try to recreate Dani Shepard with the CC so she can run into Kaidan on Earth again. I just need to be careful not to spoil myself in desperation.

I don't feel alone anymore! The only thing my friends think is weirder then me crushing on Richard Armitage and Laurence Olivier (He came out of nowhere, eh? ) is when I squee over Kaidan and Alistair.

I can confirm. On my PC, three of my four Sheps are ME1 ports with no modifications, so they have no face codes. Only Zaira, my adept got tweaked, and I didn't want to tweak her face, only her hair, but she wound up fugly anyhow. Still because I tweaked her in ME2, she has a code. I will be giving her some "plastic surgery" in ME3.

ON another note, I want to see the following at some point although I know it's a vain hope.
