So for fun, I just tried to get my mom to watch the demo.  My mom plays Bejeweled, solitaire, and video slot machine games, and that's all - nothing complicated.  She knows nothing of "my" video games.  She gets that lost look in her eyes when I talk about nerd-like stuff, so I don't often discuss them.  This time, I decided to, since hey I'm excited.  To get her into just watching the demo, I asked her to help create a Shepard, and the backstory. For the "who dies" part, she selected Ashley - no prompting from me whatsoever.  So the scenes go by, and she is getting bored, not paying attention to anything.  Then Shepard meets up with Kaidan.  She stops her bored fidgeting and says "ooh, he's handsome!"  I smirk, trying to not laugh and tip my hand, which leads to this followup: "what, you don't think he is?"  Could only muster a cheeky "yeah", as I'm cracking up on the inside. After he left that scene, she wandered out, didn't watch any more of the demo.  Only that little bit with Kaidan interested her.

Moral of the story: Kaidan is handsome, no matter who you are, or what you play.

Tried the same thing with my dad and I even played it with Ashley and I asked him to just say the dialogue options cause the Kinect would pick it up, but he wouldn't even do that. He watched the whole thing but he was constantly complaining he was bored. And they say our generation has a short attention span <_<

Oh well, was worth a try. Everyone my age seems to love it, so no big deal.

I don't get to play until Friday and even then it will be off and on for I am swamped by a 25 page research paper. I've been switching from super excited to play with people to OMG I'm going to be horrible and bother everyone. I'll have to jump in while I'm excited for it and hope I get the hang of it, everyone here makes it sound so fun.

I made a single femShep just for his romance. I have her about 2/3 of the way through ME2 right now. I'm too big of a chicken to play my canon on the first run (I want to be prepared and know what I'm doing) and I refuse to let anyone finish the Kaidan romance until she does so my VegaShep will be my first playthrough.

@ Pax of Doom That is awesome. When I try to have others watch the games and stuff I'm excited for they normally express no interest, just a tolerance for my nerdiness or the occasional 'don't you have something better to be doing with your life.'

I have a feeling I'll be playing this a lot to keep myself from getting bored and looking at spoilers. It's very addictive.

It totally doesn't matter to me if you are not that good. It's supposed to be fun and you guys will get better as time goes on. Plus I'm finding the Vanguard is excellent at reviving people. I'm able to charge across the whole field to get to someone who has fallen over.

Trust me, the only annoying people in MP are the people who insult you, curse you, and harass you. That's why you play with friends then it's a ton of fun.

Oh and if anyone wants to add me my xbox tag is Yoshibb1

I can't stand people like you. It's so sad that someone would openly admitting that they would kill someone due to their sexual preference. I'm way late to this discussion. I'm open to the s/s relationships. I see it as more ways for me to romance a character. Each of my shepards are different with different stories. I'm also for it because the gay guys do deserve a romance option. So congratz guys!! I have a male shepard and I wouldn't mind him being with Kaidan as I wouldn't mind having a femshep with Ashley. I know this is a touchy subject. Regardless I will love Kaidan if he is gay/bi/straight.

Thanks. Hopefully she will. Me, I actually used a different mouth shape. You can always save your Shep's face code and tweak your Shep a little.

@anassiel I wouldn't worry about it. The impression I got from Stan's post was that the other pic in question was removed as well.

I'm so excited for multiplayer but the anxiety for it is also killing me! I'm so afraid i'm going to be -that- gal who has no idea what's going on. But ;o; if you guys will have me I swear I'll give it my all when it starts officially.

And 18 days till Kaidan. Oh man. So excited!

I think Vega has them too. Actually, I thought there were quite some scenes that looked unfinished, especially regarding face detail and animation. Mind you, Anderson looked already MUCH better on PC than in the Xbox demo, so I guess what we see here is kind of a "work in progress".

I trust Bioware to QA the sh*t out of this, so I think it'll all be fine in the release version.

hmm...or maybe it's just because Kaidan doesn't use an eyeliner or lash extensions?

Edit: I think most Sheps have eyeliners (all black I think. liquid.) and lash extensions given the detail in their eyes.

 Good Morning - wow that was a lot to process!

Thinking I will play one of my own saves rather than the default because that's what I've been waiting on. May play my renegade Shep first though as there's going to be a potentially awkward conversation about a certain drell that I'd like to get out of the way. 

Re Vega (that pic was great - very bratty younger bro stuff) - I do have a single femShep that I made in case I decide to romance him, or my slightly ****ty Shep might get very ****ty in ME3?

Multiplayer - I'm tempted but I kind of suck at shooters so don't want to spoil things for anyone else!
