That's so weird.  You should have been automatically upgraded.  Maybe try restarting the system?  I don't know why you wouldn't be able to play.  That's so sad.

This happens to me too, trying to accept party/game invites from the dashboard tells you that you need a gold membership. You have to start up the demo first, then accept.

The whole "free 1 month gold membership with demo" was... greatly exaggerated. We didn't actually get upgraded to gold, microsoft basically just unlocked features in the demo that we'd normally need gold to access.

On topic, though: I can't help but wonder if Kaidan was aware of what actually happened during the events of Arrival or if he just assumes Shepard was just committing some Cerberus evil act.

Hi there!
I'm new to this thread, but I want to share my love for Kaidan since my heart skipped a beat for him when I played the demo *_*
I was thinking that there would be three ways of romance dialogue with Kaidan, depending on three situations:

1-Romanced him in ME1 and stayed loyal in ME2.
2-Romanced him in ME1 and cheated on him in ME2 (my case with my canon, with Thane. But surely the lines will be more interesting for whom cheated on him with Garrus-ME3 squadmate... threesome on the horizon.. don't really excited with the option. I know I'd have a hard time having to rejecting one at some point
3-Have a very first romance with him in ME3.

We can experiment his love in different ways, won't we? x3
I'd like to know if the differences will be only reduced to a few lines in the beggining and then it will be all the same for all choices, or if we'll have a good reason to replay romancing him. Maybe I'm getting excited for a little thing..

Had been something talk about this?

(btw, english isn't my first language, so sorry if I made many mistakes!)

I've been wondering what happened to that picture of him that's on your desk in your cabin. I'm guessing that you weren't allowed to go back in and pack up once you turned yourself in to Alliance brass. If you stayed loyal, it was right there for all to see. Clearly someone got it because Anderson has you dog tags at the end of the demo. You got those back from Liara in Lair.

Oh, and I'm going to try to hook for MP sometime today. I keep telling myself that it can't be much different than playing a team in an MMO (mechanics aside).

If possible, I'm definitely trying out 2 out of 3 scenarios you just mentioned (I can't cheat, although I am curious about Kaidan's reactions... but that's what youtube is for ). I'm not sure how big the differences in dialogue will be, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high (I'm such a pessimist sometimes). "Cheating" should be addressed somehow (a few extra lines maybe?) and have some consequences for the relationship. Same with staying loyal.

Really looking forward to the dialogues IF Kaidan's available as a new romance, though. But then I'd like it to be something more than a simple "You know what, Shepard? I actually have feelings for you!"

I'm working on a 4th scenario - cheated and then LI died on SM.  I have one Shep who moved on w/Garrus and that's gonna be quite the to do.  If my silly ME2 squadmates can keep their mouths shut, I don't see why Kaidan would need to know about it.
