A friend of mine (he's actually a bit of an arse) purposely spoilt me all to hell and back in November when the script first leaked. I don't remember everything, but I have basic knowledge of what can happen to the major characters.

I've read the spoilers too... and looked in the back of the art book lol (already knew about the spoiler SMs.) Not to go into details or anything but i hope they've changed some of what happens with VS/LIs or something because some of the choices are almost impossible. And from what i've read/ counted there will be 3-4 important (well at least to me) deaths ... i will def have a box of tissue beside the keyboard ....and the neighbors may hear me scream/yell ( lol which is generally totally not my thing.)

From what I've read and all i've seen.. it still have hope and desire to get the game and have already paid in full for the Collector's Ed. just so ya know

We just got a cheap xbox headset and mike, only has the one earpiece and its lasted us for like 8 yrs and counting.. never had any issue with it.. including having my husband sit on it numerous times and it getting dropped, tripped on etc..

Although really it's more about fear of how BW are gonna ruin the story for me, I remember how gutted I was at the ending of NWN2 (yes I know that was Obsidian but still) and DA wasn't much better even after the stupid dark ritual. As long as Shep and Kaidan survive and are together I can get over the rest but i'd rather not lose all the other characters I've come to care about, it just sucks

I don't get why BW likes to kill everyone/ make life miserable for the survivors, I mean look at all the blockbuster films that make millions, ok the writing isn't normally great and i'm not claiming they're they're inredible examples of cinematic excellence but 90% of the time the hero saves the day, survives and walks away with the love of their life. Face it most people love happy endings so all I'm asking for is BW to give us (me) the ending we all (I) want!

It depends hun, I had the cheap mic and it was so awful (couldn't hear anything, people couldn't hear me etc) that it lasted all of about 2wks before I'd had enough so I bought the wireless Xbox earpiece thingie and again wasn't great, kept losing connection, hard to hear so tbh I rarely bothered with chat.

My bf bought me a Turtle Beach x41 a while ago and I love it, never had any problems with it and I find the sound from the games is brilliant, it's also great that you can adjust the volume of each element seperately, makes finding the correct balance much easier.  There isn't a wire between the box and the pad but you do need to connect a wire from the headset to the pad for chat, but as they have a nice little stand (on the wireless box) they're kept out of the way and hopefully it prevents the loose wire problem.  Honestly I wouldn't have any other headset now but as with everything it seems to be blind luck as to whether or not yours develops a fault but fingers crossed mine has been flawless.

(Edit:  Stupid phone cut off my sentence half-way through so swapped to laptop)

I didn't read the leaked script, but many people said, that the Kaidan-romance will be really good. so there's hope.
At least for the romance. About the ending...we will know it in two weeks.

Don't get too depressed .. I had heard rumors that enraged me to i was determined to find out what the "old" scripts actually said... some if made more sense but I was still like ugh... but a lot of it was made pausible. And after all it's a galactic war with the biggest bad guys you can think of... screw the darkside and the sith/empire or the borg or the Nothing... they couldn't hold a candle to the reapers and their horde. I'm hope they just added more choice to some and fixed some other things. And to be fair some of deaths wanted it to happen (hopefully not spoilery.)  It's still going to be a sucker punch though and fuel for revenge/ justice on those metal reaper butts...

I'm just glad I've had time to prepare myself and I'm looking forward to the game with a bit of apprehension .

This is also why I put a freeze on my Shepards baking in ME1 and only have 1 completely finished through 2 up unitl Arrival. And I'm half way through my canon in 2...and thinking about waiting on her too... I'm highly considering using a tester Shep in 3.

Thanks for the link, that's the one I already read, that's the super old one I think from the Xbox leak. The script has been changed quite a bit since then iirc from what BioWare said. From Fan feedback.

You should never read A Song Of Ice and Fire.

Oh goodness, those books... but thing is, without those moments, the last two books really suffered. A lot of travelling was done by all! But wow, I was totally unprepared for some of the events. I got hooked after the TV series started, I started reading and demolished all five books in a couple of months.

Ah, statis field. Damn, I didn't have that. I keep purchasing veteran packs but I haven't unlocked any characters other than a krogan soldier, turian sentinel and like twenty human male engineers.  We definitely needed an adept with stasis yesterday.

Lol, I've heard about those and I been told some of the hideous things that happen to the main characters, you're right those books would definitely not be for me, thankfully I know to stay away 

David Eddings is more my thing, I know people take the ****** for everyone pairing up and living happily ever after but you know what, I don't care, I like it that way.  Hell life is depressing enough, you only need to turn on the TV and watch the news to see how crappy things can be, I don't need that in my fantasy too. At least in my head everyone can live happily ever after

I agree with your friend. Well, I wouldn't say the best ever, since nobody has read all the books or possibly has the authority to say any one book is the best. It all comes down to personal preference, but some things are undeniable,  those books are goddamn well written. And it doesn't take reading a Deception-like travesty to recognize that.

Note: I didn't read them all, been occupied with other things, so I can't comment on the last events in them. But what I have read has been a hell of a ride.

I only watched a couple of snippets from the TV show, I put a lot of work in creating all those characters in my head and it's ruining them, so I didn't watch more. Maybe one day. I'm interested, but I'm dreading it at the same time.

I'm a huge fan of fantasy fiction, so I enjoy A Song of Ice and Fire, even after A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, because GRR Martin is still one of the better fantasy writers out there.  I feel like he's floundering, however, when it comes to the main vision he had when starting the series.  I hope he's able to get back on track.

Personally, I enjoy GRIMDARK fantasy novels like Martin's, and other authors, like Joe Abercrombie, but I don't like cheap deaths and forced unhappy endings in video games.  To me, the difference is that I'm passive with novels, but an active participant in games.  I loved the ending of Abercrombie's First Law trilogy, which is dark as heck, but I would very much like a happy ending for my Shepard, who I feel way more connected to than a character like Logen Ninefingers.

Sadly, the Bioware lead writers don't consult me when creating endings.  They obviously should.

K now i think i feel better about the 'real' MP... i'm just hoping if a mission goes wonky and fail, you can go right back and counter it...

I also agree about the trailer... and feel the should do the movie completely CGI and keep all the original VAs. The trailer just proves it to me 

On a Different note.... i may have to look into all these authors. I love good scifi/ fanstasy stories.. the last i've read was Jim Butcher's Dresden Files and Codex Alrea... and a bit more on the fluff Anne Bishop's stuff mainly the Black Jewel series... well and of course the Mass Effect Books, except the last one that shall not be named.

Well, I noobed it up on MP last night, add me on xbox if you don't care =)

RayeRaze....I accidentally talked into my mic while my first game was queuing up and the leader, male, expressed frustration and broke up the game...felt like I was trying to play online halo or CoD again >.< I'm ready for the Kaidan club!
