noob question....I just finished another ME playthrough (up to 100 hours of in-game with my canon shep Kate) - and moved onto ME2....while I wait. I've done many playthroughs in the first game but never in the second game (I was too mad about being with Cerberus)...so I thought I'd try to reload in Kate for a second playthrough...but when I selected import from ME2 and selected her name, it took me to my game saves...more like I was loading a current save than importing her for a new game. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks guys, maybe I'll try to snap a pic of my femshep tonight on my cell ;-)

Select the save with the highest level I think.

I totally get what you are saying and I know I was a brat when I was 15/16 w/e years old. But no way in hell would I have acted like that toward a person I have (probably) never met. The romance just didn't do it for me. It felt like there was no romance.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the love of Garrus romance. It is just the most awkward thing ever. I mean there are a few cute lines, but it is just so weird. With Tali at least she shows interest in Shep. She's always talking about how awesome he is and how much she admires him. But we never get a hint about Garrus feeling something for Shepard until the 'reach, flexibility' conversation. And then, um head bump? 

Seriously, it's barely a romance at all. 

ME2 romances are split into 3 categories:

Best Friend Sex (Tali, Garrus)
Sexy People Sex (Jacob, Miranda)
Damaged People Sex (Jack, Thane)

Every single one of those romances just feel like a giant cliche to me. They don't feel real to me. Liara, Ashley, and Kaidan all developed this real love for Shepard that matured over time. ME1 relationships don't fit into a neat category, they feel natural.

It just doesn't feel like love to me. I guess you could make an argument for Thane and Jack but I feel more like psychiatrist than a lover. Like I'm just filling a void for them, not curing them.

I like Garrus, but his romance

The more play-throughs I do, the less I like Garrus. He is such a puppy. He'll do whatever Shepard says. I also think his character development...well, what character development? He's exactly the same in both ME 1 & 2.  

I just couldn't bring myself to romance him. It'd be like kissing my brother.

I like Jack and Miranda's romance the most in ME2. None of the others particularly interest me, but I think a big draw of Garrus is that he's a badass turian and has great lines. He's an awesome friend for all of my Shepards, but the romance scene left a lot to be desired. I'm guessing ME3 will fix this and make it a much more dynamic, realistic sort of relationship. But based off of ME2... eh.

But then again, Kaidan based off of ME2 isn't great either. I feel bad for anyone who hasn't played ME1 and had him in their squad or romanced him. His dialogue is perfect.

Wrex is way cooler than Garrus, but that doesn't mean I want to romance him. Like I said, if he'd shown any sort of romantic interest in Shep, I would understand, but he's your bro, sidekick, best friend. 

But I saw dozens of fics popping up with Garrus and femshep after ME1 and I was like 'What? The guy who whines about CSec the whole game? The lizard looking guy? WAT?"
