I've said this before, and I'll always repeat it (because it definitely applies to the ME fandom) -- if you have to put down another character just to put your favorite on a pedestal, then your argument is invalid.

Funniest part that I don't see Garrus fans wearing this either - they will be scared away by "will settle for Kaidan" claim. Plus, Garrus is romanceable in game just fine. So who is this for, people who want to romance turians IRL but will settle for freaks who move things by their mind?..

Garrus isn't romanceable in game just fine to all Shepards.

Pretty sure its from a DudeShep perspective and I can see guys wearing it for the LULZ

Well the thing is, especially with ME1, I had no idea when those flirty/romantic scenes were coming.  It was really obvious with ME2 because you had to actually visit the character in their specific corner of the ship, but in ME1 the Citadel viewpoint, lockers and even romance scene were completely unexpected in the timing for me.  So I feel awkward playing the games in front of anyone just in case one of those scenes creep up, in which case, yeah let me squee in private please!

On my last ME1 playthrough, my brother was watching me play. He had already witnessed the locker scene (just happened to walk into the room at that exact moment, the little bastard ) and ended up taking a seat next to me.
I was at the part where you meet Anderson at Flux...and we all know what scene is next.  I was trying to stall meeting Anderson, running around finishing up side quests and visiting stores, but my brother just wouldn't leave! I finally lied and said that I was hungry and turned off the xbox, lol.

I really hope ME3 has some cute cut scenes like that. I'll just have to play it safe around family members and not talk to Kaidan at all if anyone's around, hahaha.

 I liked the way the ME1 romances were set up over ME2. In ME it was more subtle. Like Vintage said, the flirting and romantic scenes were unexpected, which for me made the romances feel more genuine.
In ME2 it's so painfully obvious when Shepard is flirting, it makes my skin crawl.  In ME2 for me it felt like Shepard was going up to his/her squadmates and going "Hey! Have secks with me!" and their response is "Uh...no, get away from me". And it just keeps up like that until after the loyalty missions when it suddenly becomes "Well, you did do this huge favor for me...ok! Lets get dirty! *wiggles eyebrows*" 

I practically avoided talking to all my teammates in 2 just to avoid getting ninamanced , or if I did talk to them I had to go the neutral route which pretty much butchered any chances to have a deeper friendship with anyone<_<. I wanted to get the scene with Jacob where Shepard confesses that it's unfair that everyone expected her to just get up and carry on like it hadn't been 2 years since she was dead. Instead of giving her time to actually sit down and process what she's been through and what Cerberus had done to bring her back, they just dump the galaxy's issues and their issues on her and expect her to fix it. But in order to get that conversation, I would have had to romance Jacob, which I didn't want to do because I wanted her to stay loyal to Kaidan and I just didn't care for Jacob's character. Especially how they make femshep sound when you're just tryng to have a civil conversation with him .

But anyway...

It would be ironic if someone did hurt themselves and tried to sue for damages. ..maybe not that funny. Maybe funny if it was just Silverman sued.

Yeah... I use Jacob for his LM and the ship upgrades...same with Garrus... that's so sad really...

Which is why I support Non LI Dialogue! I know it'll be awesome!

There's an adorably cute Wrex/DudeShep pic on Deviant Art featuring naked spooning. People were squeeing over how cute Wrex's feet looked.

A krogan romance would have to be done carefully I'd imagine (unless they are like gorillas)

I'm working my way through ME2 again and FINALLY got the paramour acheivement with Thane just so I could get it done and over with. Even though his romance doesn't feature "teh prize" or anything, it just doesn't feel real. Shepard never really shows THAT kind of interest until after his loyalty mission and then all of a sudden she is like "be with me." ???????

Kaidan's romance had that natural build up.<3<3<3

I gotta say the man (sbarge) is amazing! So freaking lucky to have him as our VA, interacting with the fans and just being really genuine about it as well. We are the luckiest group!
After his "Marry me" line (after i caught my breath) and Jess saying what she said about ruining the game with a mod of him saying that really really really has me depressed! I know its a bit cheesy but a proposal would have seriously given me a heart attack of delight!!!! haha oh well.
Again, Sbarge is an amazing person as well as VA!!!!!!!!! <3<3<3
