Amazon (in my experience anyway) handles their shipping quite well. It actually depends on what type. But I'm
going to assume you will choose release day shipping. And when I pre-ordered DA2 through Amazon and chose
release day shipping, it did come as they said, and it came around afternoon for me. 

And it cost me little shipping fee compared to the other options of 2-day or standard (which is a week, also was more expensive than release date shipping. Which was weird.)

So in short, Amazon usually doesn't disappoint when it comes to shipping. 
I say go with get it on release day. Amazon will get it to your doorstep or mailbox on March 6th. And you can play it all afternoon and night! 

I'm soooo happy to hear this! I've been obsessively checking to see if my release day shipping is still there! I was reading how some Amazon customers for some reason or another got their release day shipping changed.  I got the Collector's Edition so I've been even more worried about it being sold out, but I pre ordered it last December so I should be ok.  Did you guys order the CE or regular? I'm debating if its worth it and if I should just buy the regular so I can go to gamestop Midnight Release.

I normally get the Collectors edition and like having the stuff that comes with it. That and BF and I each have an Xbox so easier just swapping disc from one console to another. I know you can license transfer but still a lot of faffing. I can see the merits of digital download but part of me likes having the box and the disc, it's like real books, I like having loads of books on a kindle but I'll never stop having real books too

I got CE because I really enjoy this game and wanted the extras. I disliked the ME2 CE because the bonus armors were one-pieces, meaning there was no way to turn the helmets off, but I got a lot of enjoyment out of the game that I didn't really regret the purchase. I expected the same standard fare for ME3 so I was flooooored at the amount of bonus items this time around. I have a N7 hoody of my own so I absolutely cannot wait to have my Shepard wearing this on the Normandy, too. Having bonus armor for Kaidan is a perk, too, I won't lie. =p

People are in the process of trying to retrieve the Space Editions that have landed, and if anyone has gotten lucky enough to find one of the games, I don't want spoilers on what is in the game. Yeah I read the leaked script, but by now things have changed in the game and I rather find out what those are on my own when I play it.

Wow I feel like a stupid idiot for believing all the Kaidan S/S news, the person was reliable about DA2 so I thought I could mostly trust him. I hope what Chris Priestly said was referring to non romancable James Vega and not about S/S Kaidan, if not I guess my single dudeshep will be with Cortez...

Did someone actually manage to catch one of the balloon copies? I wonder if they will have to sign with their blood something like "I hereby solemly declare I will not reveal anything". Even thought so much as been spoiled already, two weeks before realse is actually a bit too soon to have livestreams and youtube videos around. 
I don't mind spoilers, especially if they can save me some replay of ME1 and 2, but if they start floating around too soon I might not be able to resist 10 days without looking at them >.<

@FFWarQueen: Don't give up yet, CP post was so vague that still anything is possible.

a retrieval team just recovered a copy that has been missing out in the desert in vegas I think. They are now set up at a safe location and posted in the Space Editions thread on the General Forums where to go. I guess first to get there gets the game or they might give out copies to all the fans who have been trying to find it all day.

Either way, I'll probably drop off the forums to avoid spoilers. I wanna be surprised when I play the game

@new screenshot -   There is so much hottness on my screen I think it might melt.  But I do not love that armor at all.   Looks good on Vega, waayy to big for Kaidan.  Although I agree with the Engineer armor comments.  Including the hooves (tee hee)

@trolling - If you can't trust speciously documented information on the internet that sounds too good to be true, what can you trust, these days?  Honestly....
Although I totally bought into it too.  I guess we'll just have to see what plays out March 6 (which is still too far away)

I may try to get on later tonight for some MP, but I think my mic/headset is broken.   It's fine, I kinda wanted a new one anyways, but it's annoying not to have until I can get my shop on.  I'll have to test it out again - maybe I just had a bad connection last night.

They need to give everyone copies. There's only 10 cars out there or so it's been said. People have been searching in a friggin desert all day and drove like 2-3 hours to get to the location. This is one of the first times I'd have no problem with people getting a copy before me.

Yeah, I was reading the thread now. That's some devotion, really. They totally deserve it, and I would even, don't know, sign the copies? I would like one signed by Sbarge, for example xD

Maybe in Europe it will be easier to track them down in a more "civilised" area (but they might always end up in the sea, some mountain range, or in another state lol)...but the desert...c'mon. Cheering for them, I hope they will all get a copy.

She's beautiful!  Gilsa huh...looks like Garrus' LI is getting a different name and face.
All of my Sheps are named to corespond to that runs specific LI (Kaida/Kaidan, Aidan/Ashley, Link/Liara, Toran/Tali, Mark/Miranda, Jason/Jack, Theodwyn*/Thane, Jamie/James, Jackie/Jacob).

*Don't judge me.  A decent female TH name was a pain in the butt to pin down.

I'm still debating heading up tomorrow to look for a copy in NY. The problem is they are releasing it in New York/Manhattan and it'll be out to sea in no time if they do that. I know New York City is cool and all but it's stupid to let it go there with the 30 mph winds blowing out to the Atlantic tomorrow. If you want to release it in New York, do it in Birmingham or something, where there's no big bodies of water that close.

Heck I'd suggest releasing it in the middle of PA as we've just got a bunch of hills and farmland here for the most part. Pretty safe as long as you don't get beaten by Amish or something. (And no that's not just cause I live in PA, I'm just as far from the middle of the state as I am from NYC )

I would imagine that would have a midnight release for some game that night. Street Fighter vs Tekken comes out on the 6th, as well as Top Gun: Hard Lock, Major League Baseball 2k12, MLB the Show, and about 7 other games.

Give them a call the night before and ask if they are having a midnight release for any of the March 6th games. If they are, drop by and talk to one of the employees if you can pick up your copy of ME3 that night.

I'm close with the workers at the one I reserved mine at and they're cool with me coming by March 5th if they have a midnight release for any games. So going to drop by and get my copy then.
