I did have a variety of playthroughs with different options with what to do with the geth, then i read the spoilers. Now i do the exact same thing every time!

my paragon destroyed the geth as rewriting them is wrong and they might somehow stop believing the rewrite. orginally i rewrote them but i had a naggy doubt so i had to reload and destroy them. guess i just dont trust the geth, been killing them for too long.

I just found it weird that the whole time Shep is going on about how rewriting is unethical, then the paragon option is to rewrite.

Choices choices. Saved data from Moridins loyalty mission, erased Kasumis graybox, if it's really bad for the alliance it's not good to save. And I destroyed that Collector ship. Cerberus is waaaay too evil to be trusted with it.

Same here... though I might do a play through were i let Kasumi keep the greybox ( even though she's been the one to destroy in the past .)

And the geth-- in one paragon run (with a dab of renegade) i rewrote them, but in my cannon I going to destroy them ( i think.) I too have a nagging feeling about them getting rewritten by the reapers again...

And always have destroyed the Collector base... just too dangerous

 I have always destroyed the Geth, they are just machines to be used by people and re-written by whomever needs them.  

My renegade shep has kept the collector base for TIM - am sure that is going to come back to haunt her, everyone on the ship seemed to be against her handing it over.

I felt the same way.  Even the people who told me to keep it at the time were like, Shepard you really shouldn't have done that.  I was like, wow, I am so effed now.

I was playing MP last night, but I don't have a mic yet, but I did here the other ones talking though my TV.

I know...that was the only reason I destroyed the base. Morally I would have been fine with keeping it, but I knew it would come back and bite me in the behind if I did.

Sure do!  There's no need to be shy.  All the Kaidanites I've played with so far are really nice and funny.  It's such a refreshing change from gaming with people who are way serious and play the blame game if the mission doesn't turn out sterling.  We just have fun!  Add basbaker to your Origins friends list if you like and we'll play

What did people do with the geth? I found that decision to be particularly difficult. Because throughout the whole mission Shep is going on and on about how brainwashing any race is wrong. Then at the end, the paragon option is to rewrite. Was anyone else disconcerted by the end of this mission?

I rewrote the Geth because I thought they had originally been infected with a virus that skewed their judgement to begin with. So, my shep figured that if they they hadn't reached their conclusion to go heretic on their own, was rewriting actually going against their wishes or simply sort of returning them to an earlier restore point from before the alien virus had affected their reasoning?

Even my partial renegades blow that base up. Some of them are really tempted to keep it, but none of them can trust handing it over to TIM and they can't see how exactly to keep it without handing it over to him. So, in the end even they opt for "If I can't have it, no one can!"

Yes and I'm looking for more Kaidanites to MP with (esp ppl in my own part of the world so we're awake at the same time!) 

On Origin I'm ladylily1 feel free to friend me.  I don't get many kills (I'm so awfully slow with my sniper rifle) but lately I don't tend to die much either, so I'm not totally dead weight!

My paragons blow the base because they don't trust TIM and they think giving him the base is just inviting trouble. My renegades tend to be pragmatic and blow the base because they don't trust the tech. Reaper tech is specifically designed to a) get organic life to develop the way reapers want and indoctrinate. Both are bad things. Thus base gets blown both ways.

Incidentally, my Kaidan-mancing Kara is also a Sole Survivor. So when she got that e-mail being all "Cerberus can't be trusted." Her response was something along the lines of "Yup. Fully aware of that, given that they just used you as bait. But saving the galaxy more important than a grudge or ten. Can blow Cerberus up from the inside after I'm finished worrying about the collectors." And then she sniped some mercs to blow off steam.
