I think we're back to the anonymity of the Internet, it's ok to spit your dummy out and rage at total strangers like an obnoxious child, and believe me I know a few (high school teacher), just as long as they don't know who you really are.

You know what we're not being fair to 12yr olds, most of them display more restraint than these people, that's why I stick to this thread and this thread only, I don't even look at the main page just refresh my screen for my daily dose of Kaidan yumminess

Btw just to clarify, I'm not talking about anything I've seen here just on other threads before I implemented a total blackout on all things none Kaidan related.

I think people are scared. Although it's just a game, this game is really important to us. We're trusting them to give us something amazing and if we get inklings that it's not then we freak out. 6 years is a lot of build up and promises. We all have an idea of what would make the game perfect, and anything less is just frightening.

I think things like the graphics being good but not mindbowing and gun holstering are stupid, but the game's ending is really important. If they mess that up, it just messes up everything. So that scares me. I'm trying to remain optimistic though. I got all the anger out over the last few days.

ita! Some people on here are so agressively childish!
I mean I'm only just 18 but I'm pretty sure I act better than these people. At least I hope!
I'm involved in quite a lot of fandoms but the gaming fandoms are by far the worst 
I just stick to lurking in this thread and making the occasional comment rather than risk angering someone in the others.

Don't ask me how I managed to not listen to this for so long, guess didn't want BF to hear me with my one true love but I finally got round to listening to Sbarge reading the Horizon letter and O-M-G!! It actually made me feel all tingly and I think I may have squeed out loud a little, can't tell it was too much for my delicate little heart to process *swoon*

Well, after DA2 where the game ended the same no matter what you did, it's a lot easier to buy into the idea that this one will end the same no matter what you do only with slight variations.

Now, I understand what they were trying to do with DA2 in terms of the story telling and so on and I agree that there are some times that no matter what you do, certain things will happen, but their execution of the concept was flawed by their storytelling up to that point IMO.

Just one thing I can point to was their flawed execution of time. It was a little like watching Episode III Star Wars where supposedly at least nine months has passed for Anakin's fall, but we sure don't feel like it's been nine months. The only visual marker of the passage of time we really have is Padme's pregnancy which is pretty well hidden most of the time, and the rest of the script doesn't play out like something that takes nine months. DA2 is the same. For a game that takes place across 10 years, it doesn't have that feel to it. You get told that time has passed, but very little in the game itself feels like it's been dragging across that span of time.

At any rate, after that flaw. People are a bit gun shy when it comes to ME3. If there's one thing, just one thing that BioWare really needs to get right, it's this. And it's very easy to believe, particularly with the spector of EA looming over them, that they're going to drop the ball.

And now for something completely different in an attempt to lighten the mood.

I kind of feel terrible about all this. I'm really busy at work and my down time is usually when I come on the boards and squee over Kaidan, and you know, positively support the community. But I've been so busy and I haven't been around. I've missed a lot (that may or may not have pissed me off, I don't have the time to go back and find out), but at the same time I haven't been able to come on here and say that despite it all, I'm still hopeful that this game will f*#%^ng rock my socks off.

I'm so excited to see Kaidan again and finish his and Shepard's story! Also, I watched a short spoilery video yesterday of m/m LI option that actually has me wanting to roll a new dudeShep (which is WTF, I don't even!) so that's also good and a testament that my faith in BioWare's ability to write a good story is not unfounded nor will it be shaken.

Edit: I'm one of those fools that absolutely loved DA2, though. Aside from a few bugs that kept me from completing a couple of quests, that game was a blast and a great story for different reasons than ME.

Oh, I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, but it had some flaws in story execution that kept it from being what it could have been. I did play it through three times myself.

My main point is that after being put into that ending which is pretty well predetermined no matter what, it's a lot easier for people to believe that BioWare would do this kind of thing with the ME3 endings.

If you had asked me if I'd buy this before DA2, I'd have said no, but now, I'm worried.

As far as DA2... i haven't finished yet but I've seen the unavoidable ending... that might be why i haven't finished it yet, well and ME. I like the story so far.  I'm going to eventually but I really like the Characters...so it's going to make doing some stuff hard. I just hope we're given more, even if it's just 1 or 2, options in ME3.

The only issue I have with Bioware when it comes to endings is the way the hero always disappears! DA:O kinda left me stuck due to the abrupt end of Witch hunt, the mention of your Warden in DA2 rectified that a bit but still.

I loved DA2, I actually kinda like the ending only due to the fact that it stated that your chosen LI stayed with you. Who knows what happened? I head canon it but thats all I want. I dont want 100% clarification but enough for me to work at my own happy ending. I miss the variation from DA:O but they made me happy to knowing that Fenris stayed with Hawke.

Mass Effect is the first games series that has had this big of an impact on me. Seriously, it's a beautiful form of artwork that has gone beyond any other game I've seen or played. It's amazing how the team has created a story that makes you come to care so much for people that are, in reality, just a bunch of pixels. But to end such a story on such a bittersweet and depressing note....eh, I can't bring myself to justify it.

I also very much enjoyed DO2, besides the recycled backgrounds.  I was delighted to hear that my Champion finally had a voice unlike my warden.

I liked DA2, though the story in parts did feel rushed...the characters were great. : ) I think the only thing I'm worried about is (I have remained spoiler free thus far to all even the s/s romances) if the romances are cookie cutter...that was my problem was DA 2. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that is not the case. I will be more likely to play again has MaleShep to have a different gaming experience and a difference romance option. If that makes any sense. Also, I'm hoping that characters stay as true to themselves as possible...grant it I know time has pass and things change, but our inherent personalities are still there. If you understanding my meaning.

I think I'm confusing myself...anyway, I just want some closure to this game series as I've stated before. As long as there is a definite ending that's well written and makes sense I'm good. : )

March 6 needs to hurry up! Only four more days to go! Two weekend days and two work days!
