I might hold off playing my game a day or two. I'm such a nerd when it comes to ME. I pick up the guide and comb through it so I plan out what I'm doing ahead of time. Plus I index it with post-it tabs according to what parts the guide covers. THEN i start playing >.>

I have a problem xD lol

It is for the digital download. You download it early but it won't unlock until midnight of the release date.

Oh phew.  Thought I'd have to stay off the boards for the weekend.  I can't imagine how I'd surive.

Although there is some speculation (probably wrong) that the unlock of 12 am EST will mean something like 11:00pm CST on March on even earlier as you go West ... that would mean some of us might get to start on March 5th ... Posted Image

I'm torn between just crashing through it once to learn the ropes and get a true canon calamity, and hitting Best Buy for the strategy guide first thing Tuesday morning and working my way through it nice and slow.

I keep telling myself that my canon Shep always has NG+ and first access to any potential "hidden endings".

Me too, I do love my guides ;)

I was suprised when I went on Amazon UK and they've sold out.  I think all this worrying about endings has sent guide book sales rocketing!

Sounds like me too, my first pt will be with my "tester"  paragon shepard - she stayed faithful to Kaidan.  On my canon pt, I will have read and re-read the guide and searched the net and you-tube for the "correct" dialogue/choice for her.  I have no qualms about deleting hours of playthrough if I regret a choice I made, it's got to be perfect in my mind - obsessive much? ;)

I once deleted a lady Hawke character from mid Act 2 because I just didn't like what choices I had made and I was always at that mirror thing changing her looks because I just couldn't get it righ.

Just caved and ordered my CE game guide from Amazon. Seriously, Tuesday can't come soon enough!

I have been playing ME1 all morning just to get a chance to have Kaidna in my party again. Sigh.

What are the differences between the CE game guide and the original? is it just art work?

As far as I know that is the difference. I got the CE game version and I wanted the guide as well. Maybe someone else can chime in if there are other extras.

Thanks Crimson - I was just comparing the two on Amazon but you beat me to it. :)

I was going to get it at Barnes and Noble because I have a gift card, but the Amazon price is good.

as far as i know, aslong as you do every sidemission you can and get your galatic readiness rating to the highest thats the best possible result anyone can have.

I never bought a guide for ME & ME2 i just used youtube and blogs to help me when i needed guidance ^_^

Np everyone :)

I'm kind of surprised I got the CE of the guide actually. Pre-ordered it at GameStop along with my CE of the game. Guide cost me 39.99 on top of the 79.99 for the game >.<

Dammit Bioware, just take my money!
