after the Coup with Udina, Shepard and Kaidan talk. At that point you have the choice of recruiting Kaidan back to the Normandy or turning him down and telling him that the position with Hackett seems like a better idea.

If you tell Kaidan to work with Hackett then he remains on Earth and becomes a War Asset. He'll send Shepard some emails (only saw two so far) but thats about it. The rest of the romance (scenes and dialogues) you lose out on.

Ok going to come off the thread now because it's getting rather too heavy with spoilers ...
I'm in the UK so I won't get to start playing until Friday and I don't get a lot of time to play so it will take me quite a long time to get through everything, so I guess pretty soon things that will be common knowledge to most of you will still be spoilers to me.

I've really enjoyed reading this thread, everyone has always been so friendly and supportive of each other, and there are some amazingly talented people here - some great artwork and fanfiction (which I normally never read!).

Still hoping that we will all have a great time playing and will get the romance and the ending that we all want (whichever that may be for each of us).

Will probably be back in a few months to ask for advice on how to get a better ending!

So the endings I've seen was that Shep either dies destroying the Reapers with some machine or merges all organic life with them (or something).  Am I gettin' that right?
