I don't think I like the idea myself... I enjoy multiplayer, but I don't think it should be necessary to get a better ending. ( And how much extra support do you really get? How will it really affect the ending?) I get that it's a push to get people on the MP... but it just doesn't seem... balanced?

Right now I'm so frustrated with certain things in the game, I don't know if I want to play it at all anymore. If I do, I might just play up to the romance high point and then quit.

Mass Effect 3 arrives the day before one of my last final of the quarter. (Study Study) I probably won't play it until my game guide shows up, and if it disappoints after my pure paragon playthrough; it'll go in my drawer where my other games are kept and forgotten. I may only play it once.... but I'll still play it.

So what's everyone gonna do once their on the Normandy? Are you gonna just tour it as you go along or (to those who watched the IGN video) are you gonna head straight for Kaidan's area?
This made me smile. And think bad thoughts. LOL Tuesday can't come soon enough.
I, too, am tired of speculating. I just want to play and find out for myself. I'll make up the right ending in my head if necessary.

I'm just hoping it's inconsequential to be honest. Like it'll help you if you're peetering on the edge of the better ending, but otherwise won't do much more than all the other variables. Because I can guarantee I'll never touch the MP, and I dislike the idea of being forced to do it in what's supposed to be a singleplayer game. So, yeah, if it turns out that the MP seriously tips the scales in your favor, or is REQUIRED to get the best ending - Bioware and I are going to have some words.PopDisaster wrote...
So... a couple of friends I play with online said that in OXM that if you play multiplayer and get the veteran packs there will be rare unlocks for the campaign such as extra fleet support. Does this change the way you guys plan on playing? I'm still going through the campaign before I even touch multiplayer, but I was wondering what you guys thought of it.

If the MP unlocked a better ending then, yeah, I'd totally do it. However, I would think that it's a huge middle finger to fans who don't or can't do MP. If it is the case, I'll do it for the sake of the story, but my god, what a di** move. I want to say that they would never do this, but I've been disapointed by their money grabbing schemes in the past.

I'll play it through and if the gameplay/story/character interactions are any good, regardless of ending, I'll undoubtedly play it dozens of times. I hate the KOTOR ending but I've still played it countless times because the game is good. I'm not gonna let the 2mins at the end of the game where I'm watching and not playing ruin the experience for me. Same with DA:O the endings bug me but the game is good and I buy games to play them, I'll just go get a brew when it gets to the end and let my head finish the story how I want it to end

They already said MP would help but wasn't essential. Being a fan of MP elsewhere that's not generally how they work, no company would deliberately alienate the SP fans because they have both markets covered this way. I think the 'help' is genuinely just to encourage people to give it a go.

I wonder what the hell point a MP DLC would serve then. That's the last DLC I would want, but people seem to think that that's what we'll get.

Played MP and it was pretty fun, but definitely not worth paying for, even if I get a better ending.

My guess Map Packs. It's how games like CoD and Battlefield continue to make money after initial sales. It's also the first thing BF and I said to each other as soon as we saw the MP.txmn1016 wrote..

Yeah, new areas, new enemies and usually a new weapon or armour thrown in for for MP as well.

So, probably no real bearing on the SP playthrough, except for maybe a greater advantage in the final battle. Meh.

D'awww. I must see this relationship play out. The Cortez relationship seemed a little shallow to me. I'm sure Kaidan/Mshep will be more fullfilling.

Well my copy is a digital version, so ive already preloaded it and the dlc. Then all i need is a vpn for korea, which unlocks the game on monday and off i go! Well only on the single player but that works for me!
