gave it some thought and the more I think about it the more I would actually like it to be about a femShep (for the wrong reasons I guess ... and only if we can't pull off a miracle and somehow get BioWare to not make the movie about the games)
alas, I have 2-3 femSheps in ME1 and pretty much only one with whom I also completed ME2 and only to see about the differences between the male and female Sheps and I rolled all three ME2 romances into that one femShep playthrough (broken hearts included) so if they picked femShep it would be easier for me to accept it as an AU-thing because none of 'my' Shepards, the ones I truly care about, is female to begin with
I still think that making the movie about the game is like standing a top of a cliff and about to jump down thinking that you won't get smashed or impaled by the sharp rocks down there because you're just too awesome or something ...
also, as I pointed out people will still watch the movie ... they - heck, WE - will **** and moan about how it shouldn't be about ME1, but seriously, they have walking, talking lionsmurfs that are convincing, who is honestly not wanting to see what they pull off with the aliens in this movie?!
I honestly hope that the movie doesn't suck regardless of what it is about, but I can't help but think that it's a big mistake, because by picking anything but the thing the gamers already know and care about they could wow them as well without annoying/alienating them; the audience who didn't play the game won't care and those who pick the game up after watching the movie will pobably be alienated by hwo different the game might be compared to the movie ...
right now, I'd just want someone at BioWare explain to me how more than two people with a brain could sit in a room and think it would be a good idea to use the game(s) as a base
hmmm, probably got a bit too snarky at the end ...
