I was thinking of starting my Shenko file.....

Should I? I mean I've known about the endings for some time now, and even with headcannon and all....

is it worth it? I try to see the up side to things like this, but............

Do it. The game itself is amazing and the romance is beautiful. You can always stop before the end. Honestly, the endings are an insult to how good this game is. It's like Bioware left the building and a bunch of chimpanzees came in and jumped on the keyboard to make the endings.

A few people have finished the the game already and are expressing how they feel that the endings are one big slap to the face of the fans to this series. It pretty much is.

Create this amazing game where the player is in control of what happens based on decisions we make. Take us on this awesome epic ride with an amazing story, just to come to the end where everything we've done and all the time we've spent doing this, doing that, and weighing the choices we have to make end up being thrown out the window with endings that don't vary from each other at all and leaving us feeling like all that time we've invested was completely pointless.

I agree. I haven't finished the game yet. However I would encourage people to play it. Once you get to the final romance scene I would save it there and headcanon the rest or finish the game and headcanon it from there. Hopefully Bioware will fix this...

myrabgood - I did the exact same thing... on all counts lol.Didnt go to grissom *oops* didnt get rid of the bomb... erm... bigger oops...*reloads previous save and starts again*
As for crying... oh gosh I have been bawling at a few points.
I'll be an emotional wreck by the end of this heh.

Especially since Kaidan at teh point where I reloaded was still just buddy with me *sniffles* My poor shep needs a hug at least
Did giggle at the oggling of kaidan as he walked into the normandy hehe

The bomb thing is still available for me somehow eventhough I thought it wouldn't be. I even got an emal about it and Hackett mentioned to not forget about it. But I haven't traveled there so I don't really know if it really still is available to actually do.  I hope so

Shepard checking out Kaidan was definitely very funny and made me giggle too and I sure needed a pick me up after that sad scene beforehand.

Hey, you know the majority of this game is Shep procuring War Ass-ets. Posted Image

I am about a little over half way through the game, and just had to stop and start one of my other characters because I just can't even begin to think about how horrid the endings are. Not sure if I'll manage to finish one play through at this point.

And the further I go in this game, the harder it gets to play. Things are just getting more and more monstrous. Why on earth would BioWare make a game this good and not give so much time and attention to the endings?

I'm also having more and more little bugs crop up.

1. Can't load up the Refugee Docks at the Citadel.
2. I have Reapers showing up in systems I can't land in to scan.
3. I have the mission indicator showing up in systems that don't have missions.

I'm starting to hope that I'll be able to finish this playthrough before the bugs prevent me from playing at all.

@ frylock23

I understand exactly where you are coming from, I am enjoying the game and really enjoying rekindling the Kaidan romance, but knowing the endings, I just, it has taken something out of the game for me.

Though I am glad I know them at this point, it will save my monitor when I finally get there.

I honestly do not know what they were thinking.
They did say some people would not like the endings...
But I still can't understand WHY there isn't just one nicer ending.
Im not saying they all had to be... but for those that wanted better... why not?
One extra ending and I doubt there would have been such a mess.
Im debating whether I finish it.... or just finish the romance and quit. I dont want the entire series ruined by the ME3 end. Knowing me I won't touch any of the games again.

and no... they won't fix it. Its how they wanted it.
I would guess a lot of the fan base doesnt care.. lets face it they dont all post here... especially if they are happy. The rest of us will get told to deal with it heh.

sighs. It does ruin all 3 games for me. I dont know if I will play 3 again or just ignore it. Doubt i'll pay for DLC and I normally get everything. Whats the bet they asked the DAO team for ending ideas hehe

It doesn't ruin the first game for me, I wasn't particularly fond of the second game, however, it is playing havoc with my ability to finish a play through. It's like I look at the endings and I just can't bring myself to finish it, to get to them.

While I agree it probably won't be fixed, we can still hope. OK maybe hoping is a useless endeavor as well. /sigh

I really wish Bioware would have done something more sane with the endings, at least adding one half way decent one. I tad bit more sweet to go with the bitter they handed us.

i think the biggest disappointment about ME3 is that unlike the other games i have no desire to play is again. its over, its done with. can i sell it back to gamestop yet?

especially since ending doesnt really vary. so whats the point of playing it again? you get the same ending. and my first, and only, play through seems to be the 'ultimate' ending. what a disappointment.

i will say though, i lurved the kaidan scenes!! i about reached into the tv during the mars mission

I get it me3 = the end of Shepard story
if my shepard die, I'm okay with it
because hey its war everybody die
I wish Bioware just cut the normandy crash scene
or put normandy back on earth
no need for the rainbow or my little ponies or disney ending
I need the ending that makes sense
that's all :crying:

anyway back to gameplay
just maxed out Kaidan's Reave in mars mission
it kills cerberus trooper in 1 hit
damn I need Reave right now

They don't even have to make a completely different ending. Just take the ending where Shepard can live and add another branch to it where it has the Normandy landing on Earth and maybe something like in ME1 where they are searching for Shepard and find him/her among a bunch of rubble and being reunited with their LI.

Heck they can toss in a little extra drama there where when Shepard and the LI see that each other has survived.

LI: Shepard! Hang on, we've got you.

*gets Shepard out of rubble. LI takes a few moments to stare at Shepard, noting how badly injured Shepard is. Hugs Shepard closely*

LI: Thanks god you're alive. I thought I lost you when the Citadel was destroyed.

*Shepard clings to LI*

Shepard: Yeah...I've been better...I thought I'd never see you again.

LI: Me too. Come on, lets get you out of here and taken care of.

*insert final cutscenes here of all races left on earth helping each other from the wreckage and Shepard's plans for the future.*

They get the drama effect, but leaves the players happy that they got the crew and LI back.

<3THIS. PLEASE! That would seriously be enough for me. It doesn't take much effort to do something like that and it would add at least some happiness to the ending. Enough for better headcanon. Either way, I like this so much it will probably be worked into part of my headcanon....

If we make enough noise on the forums for a better ending maybe it'll light a fire under Bioware to make an Alt. Ending DLC. It's a long shot, but it never hurts to try. Especially for a company that constantly states that they listen to their fanbase.

Do you mean the store cortez runs in the normandy hold?

I thought for sidequests it was the spectre shop - which is in the spectre office thing in the embassies - across from Udinas office / Next to C-Sec

Exactly. Personally I don't think it is a long shot since Bioware constantly mentions how they listen to their fans. This is their chance to truly prove that. On the livestream Casey Hudson said they want to know the fans reactions and feelings about ME3 and that they want to know our opinions about where to take the ME universe from here. Sure he may not mean any of it but I think it is hopeful for now. I won't stop talking about it until Bioware slams the door shut on any DLC/patches for the ending. At that point I won't have much respect for the ME team and a lot of my hopes for Bioware will be pinned on the DA team. No pressure :P

If they do nothing about the ending, I will look for fan fictions and art work to try to get more out of ME3 (aside from my headcanon and possible fan fict.). Most of those fans/artists/writers (mainly thinking of Deviantart) probably won't like the endings and make something a lot better. =]

The ending I want follows the "Destroy" where Shepard lives. S/he pulls herself feebly out of the rubble, walks out of the darkness to see the Citadel crashed just off the coast of Dover. Lots of shuttles flying around, s/he flags on of them down. The shuttle takes Shep to the current military HQ, lots of candid shots of massive destruction, people crying with grief/joy, pulling out corpses/survivors out of various wreckages. Shep just stares blankly, no emotion whatsoever. The shuttle lands, a medic rushes up to meet him/her only t be brushed off. S/he stumbles ahead over to some makeshift tent or a building that hasn't been ground to dust. There are important looking people running around. S/he's led over to a group, circled around Hackett, who doesn't see Shep at first. Hackett looks up, shock plastered on his face, smiles, then slowly steps aside to reveal the two teammates Shep brought (one of these very preferably a LI). Looks are exchanged, Shep exhales slowly and smiles. Fade to black. credits roll.

No dialogue. The entire sequence set to Faunts - M4, part 2 or "From Wreckage"
