The ending I want follows the "Destroy" where Shepard lives. S/he pulls herself feebly out of the rubble, walks out of the darkness to see the Citadel crashed just off the coast of Dover. Lots of shuttles flying around, s/he flags on of them down. The shuttle takes Shep to the current military HQ, lots of candid shots of massive destruction, people crying with grief/joy, pulling out corpses/survivors out of various wreckages. Shep just stares blankly, no emotion whatsoever. The shuttle lands, a medic rushes up to meet him/her only t be brushed off. S/he stumbles ahead over to some makeshift tent or a building that hasn't been ground to dust. There are important looking people running around. S/he's led over to a group, circled around Hackett, who doesn't see Shep at first. Hackett looks up, shock plastered on his face, smiles, then slowly steps aside to reveal the two teammates Shep brought (one of these very preferably a LI). Looks are exchanged, Shep exhales slowly and smiles. Fade to black. credits roll.
No dialogue. The entire sequence set to Faunts - M4, part 2 or "From Wreckage"
This would be so much better! So much better.

They way the games end right now, any future DLC to me would be pointless and not worth getting because in the end it'll feel like it was for nothing. Shepard either dies or is separated from the crew permanently. With endings like that, why would I want to spend money on DLC that isn't going to change that.

Don't worry. There's a long dry spell where you won't see him until you advance the main plot far enough. At that point, he'll turn up again.

But more seriously: if Bioware releases an alt ending DLC, I bet even more of the fanbase would be up in arms (compared to the From Ashes DLC) about Bioware shipping an incomplete game and charging players to make it complete (after all, it would tie in directly with the main events of the game).

Thats EXACTLY how I feel. Why bother getting DLC...I would pay full price for a DLC/Expansion if it continued it just a bit more to see the "clean up / reunion" As it stands I can't see the purpose of DLC at all.
BUT... how would they do it anyway... isn't shepard dead in most endings? Doesnt seem at this point that its possible. Unless you played as one of your crew and found Shep at the end... I dont know... lol
Didnt one of the devs say that would never do a DLC that was after the end?
EDIT: I really love the N7 Hoodie. She wears it everywhere

If we make enough noise on the forums for a better ending maybe it'll light a fire under Bioware to make an Alt. Ending DLC. It's a long shot, but it never hurts to try. Especially for a company that constantly states that they listen to their fanbase.
There was a spoiler thread about the endings that got over 80 pages in 24 hours. Before the game was even officially released, and before people played it, there was that response. At this point, they HAVE to listen to their fans - that thread is now at 571 pages after 9 days. Complaints about the endings are all over the spoiler sections. Fans have spoken, and are pissed.
It has nothing to do with wanting sunshine and bunnies happy end (considering everything else going on in the game universe that's not happening by any stretch), it's more like "cut Shepard a farkin' break".
As much as I am loving this game, I'm taking my sweet ass time because of the dreaded endings. I haven't even been to Palaven yet (started a new Shep, then started/deleted/restarted Vyan thrice). And, not sure if it would be considered a spoiler, but if you start a fresh Shepard vs. an imported romanced Shepard, there is dialog missing from conversations. That really wowed me. SPOILER: And Kaidan on Mars saying "Don't you 'Kaidan' me, this is business" - OH SNAP!

Still, why bother buying any DLC that takes place before the end of the game if it isn't going to do anything? Shepard will still die or be separated from the crew. So why should I spend money on ME3 dlc if that's still going to happen?
Give us a alt. ending DLC and I'll gladly give them my money for it, otherwise I'm done with ME3 after the romance conclusion and there is no fraking way I'm going to buy any dlc that comes out for ME3 unless it gives us a better ending <_<. Sorry Bioware, but yeah, me no give u moar monies until we getz better endings!

So would I... after whipping out my wallet and laying down some cash. I will be as indignant as I please as long as Shepard is happy.

That was before, when they assumed everyone was going to be okay with their endings. I'm sure if people make an issue out of the endings (politely), they may change their minds. I really hope they do :C

Exactly. There is no point.
Though a "Take Back Omega" DLC would be tempting....I still rather have an Alt. ending DLC any day. Plus my money talks so why give it when I feel like I was cheated?

for a story that, to me, was so personal (not just some dude you go around killing people with) bioware sure ended it in the worst way possible.
and poor kaidan!!! shepard dies, he's heart broken. shepard comes back, he's angry but still loves her. gets back together with shepard she dies!! how is any one supposed to deal with that?!?!?
also, i agree with CrimsonNephilim No More Moneys!!!
we should start a no more money till we get a better ending thread.

I mean, COME ON!!! Its bad enough Shepard died once, but to tear them apart like that twice? That's just fraking cruel to no end. Even a real person would be torn apart by that. Broken Heart Syndrome for crying out loud!

The longer it takes me to pick up ME3 that happier I'll be. Once I do, I'll play until the romance climax and then I'm out. ME3 CE and the CE guide will just become a nice little center piece for my coffee table until we get alt. endings.

Yeah, I had bought and paid for my CE months and months ago. Now I will probably never finish the game. So much for those 7 playthroughs I had ready to go
Edit: The one plus for all this is Kaidan is super dooper hawtness!

This, so very much this. People complain about the practice of DLC - well it's here to stay. Might as well make it something worthwhile. There is a legit complaint of "why pay for the rest of the game", and they're right. Yet, people will still pay for things inconsequential to the game. Appearance packs are nice, weapon packs are nice, new squadmates or maps are nice. However, this above all else (a Fix The Fu-Damned Ending DLC) is MORE than worth it.
And seconded on buying it. I would pay for an improved ending because it's something that I want. I bought the freaking sparklepony in WoW because it was something I wanted. I want my Shepards to have the option to be Big Damn Heroes and ride Kaidan off into the sunset. Offer the option, and everyone's happy. Those that want it get it, those that want grimdark end get it by default.

Just quoting you because all that you said is true. If you don't want happiness for your Shep...don't buy the DLC if they ever offer it. For those of us that do want it, we have the option of buying. And I would SO buy that DLC so fast BioWare would'nt even know what hit them
