I don't think Joker would panic and run away like a coward like that. He stuck with Shepard through ME1 and the suicide mission. In cutscenes when he's trying to get hold of Shepard, you can hear panic in his voice until Shepard responds. He doesn't seem like the type who would back down and run away at the most critical time for Shepard.

On a somewhat related note, have any of the devs spoken out about the endings? I kind of want to hear them explained, and maybe even defended.

Not to mention if you talk to him after Thessia, he is freaking OUT at how Shepard is so stressed. He's worried sick about it, AND blaming himself still, and promised Anderson he'd take care of her/him. No way he abandons Shep.

Even more I am trying to wrap my head around how Kaidan and Liara even survived that lazer attack. Part of me thinks being killed by that may of been more preferable to being stranded on some planet >_>

The 2 team members you take with you get hit by the fracking beam. They manage to live through it, but most likely sustained bad injuries like Shepard did. So how the heck could they manage to get their butts back to the Normandy?

Unless the two didn't run with you? I don't recall anything along the lines of telling them to retreat or go back somewhere, it was just a mad last dash down that hill

Kaidan got beat up by a robot almost died
yet got hit by a frickin laser and walk out from the normandy without a scratch????

Gahh just finished. I loved the game up until the ending just because I wanted a happy ending. Or at least the possibility of happiness at the end. Ugh.

But the Kaidan romance was solid. And that's about all I have to say.

I want to see if I can get my femshep to have the conversation with Thane where he tells her what "Siha" means. Is there a way I can do this without starting a romance with him?

Nope, he only tells you if you 'mance him.

I was curious too: Who died in people's playthroughs? I heard there were some pretty gruesome deaths for some characters, more specifically Tali and Miranda.

I lost Mordin , Thane (think he always does, tho), Zaeed, and Legion
Almost Grunt too, but the little dude pulled himself out of the rachni hole alive.

And has anybody run into Kasumi? I'm reading she's alive and has a mission, but I have no idea where that starts

Kasumi's little side mission is on the Citadel after Palaven. It's part of the Citadel Hub quest: Hanar Diplomats

You pick that quest up off a spectre outside the spectre office.
I havent seen Zaeed, Tali, Legion, Jacob.

I just finished the Geth/Quarian-ness and I'm already at 100% Galactic readiness. How do people not get that already o.o I've put about 25 hrs into it. Silverpearl was freaking out at the ending earlier to me via xboxlive messages xD She told me I'll need the Multiplayer but if i'm already 100%, then do I really need it?

 Loving playing ME3!! Been playing non stop these past two days and just got kaidan back on the Normandy 

Also loved the chance to perv on his behind! That was a special treat!

Thanks, maybe at some point I will try to do it.
The game, as good as the run was before the ending, feels a lot like a one time thing to me for now.

Shepard started it and ended it.


I couldn't get my galactic readiness past 50%, apparently.

just do the side mission first like get the blood pack, do n7 mission at cerberus lab first
after that do the grissom

I just failed the barla von one and the improved power something because did the genophage before going back to the citadel to turn them in.
If you go back when its the citadel attack I guess its too late.
I havent got it in me to go back 7 hours and do everything again lol

Edit: Does anyone know how you get to Irune? Is it unlocked at any stage? The area its in is not on my galaxy map o.o

 I didn't expect maleshep to be able to romance Kaidan, and it was a pleasant surprise. By that I mean, it hands down had the best dialogue and mood of all the romances in the game, in my humble opinion. Or maybe it's just because the music really sets the tone.

I'm still going to go with Liara this playthru, but definitely Kaidan on my Newgame+.

The endings are plain terrble, so full of plotholes, i also hate that child and all the dream sequences. Wouldve been far more moving to see the squadmates youd already lost. The kid saying the citadel is part of him just made me1 & 2 totally pointless, why did he need soveriegn or saren? Just open up the relay himself and poof reaper fleet. Let alone the magic transporting squadmates, the railroaded have 3 different decisions that totally invalidate the rest of the game; why would anyone now side with the geth or go for peace when they all just die anyway in the destroy ending? Why bother talking to edi?

Bleh.
Anyhow the kai scenes were nice, though i was hoping for 1 or 2 extra scenes, just 2 for romance felt a little short, but hey im greedy!

Reading along like a forum stalker for years, even managed to resist posting after Horizon, because it had all been said (for the record, I'm on the "Kaidan was true to himself, my Shep was a knob" team) BUT I have to put it out there...
I loved my Shepard, Kaidan and the Kaidan romance. I want to say perfect but I would have loved a comfort scene after Thessia. I loved that he didn't trust you straight away. I believe the writers were spot on... he was still level-headed, sarcastic, thoughtful Kaidan, but he had grown stronger. He no longer felt the need to leave himself a way out. I loved the scenes on Mars, the hospital, the date, the goodbye.. and that romance scene WAS perfection (I will be spending a lot of time photo shopping the gazillion screenies I took!).
And here's the standard "but the ending..."
I chose synthesis, and while I am happy to sacrafice my Shep (as I did with my Warden), what gets me is that I have no urge to replay ... any of the games any more. While the ME3 journey was so fantastic, I'm not sure I will be able to stop before the end.. but at the same time, is there any point doing a renegade run, if my options are all the same? For now, the answer is no. And that sucks, because I was looking forward to taking new characters through the trilogy in years to come.
Sorry for the novel, but as I said.. I wanted to get that out!

Bought Kaidan a present and he thinks my Shep is flirting with him (he's right! xD) BTW, just tested, if you don't buy him present, he won't ask if you're flirting with him, he will have neutral line instead
