This was annoying not to be able to post something.

Wow so many hot pictures of Kaidan. Can't wait to play the game

I have a question: I know that Kaidan is a (long) time not available as squad. Which missions do I have to finish to get him back as soon as possible?

side quests: blood pack, N7 Mission at Cerberus lab and Grissom
main missions: Sur'kesh, Palaven?

I'm not sure. Can someone help me?

You only get him after the Udina thing. I don;t want to spoil it. It's like after 2 "priority" missions.

 Yay its finally arrived (Brit here). Always wanted to post here since I started playing ME a year ago but was a little shy but I'm too excited now to worry about that! I remember playing ME for the first time and seeing Kaidan and thinking "ooh hes nice, oh this is a Bioware game he better be romanceable"

Always loved Kaidan, he just seems like such a nice guy, although now I kinda can't stop staring at that gif Liedral!

I heard it wasn't possible to get over 50% without MP, and I'm still stuck at 50%. I've been building assets but being the first run I missed a ton of things, and didn't know the Citadel was going to lock things out. And all I have left is the point of no return. I also didn't know theykaidan-blocked you through the entire middle section of the game. Annoyed.

I could be wrong.  I could have missed it somewhere...but I've seen no resonse to any of the concerns/raging/pleading that has been going on for the past week or so before the game even came out and since.  It appears they don't care.  They have our money.  They are done.  I hate to feel so negative, but with those endings, how can one feel any other way?

Mass Effect was one of my few escapes.... my real life is filled with so much (unwanted) drama and angst that i really needed the distraction to where i could fight to save the galaxy and be with friends who cared (even if they were fictional.)  With the endings it nullified all of that and I don't think I can play the rest of the game with the current endings looming... I couldn't even turn the computer on at home and spent most of the afternoon and evening in tears.  Yes i know it's just a game.. but i and i know others have invested so much into it...

I'm just not sure what to do at this point.

edit- I'm thinking about just doing MP or something... or waiting

sorry to be a downer.. i'll try and cheer up lol ...working with a team in MP will probably help a bit

I tore through ME1 and ME2 so many times I nearly burnt myself out.

Go for a 5000 EMS rating which will lead to "the best ending." Then the destroy ending which will allow Shepard to survive. From there hopefully there will be DLC or something.

Crap! How in the world are we supposed to get that out of the SP game without playing MP? I have done all the side quests except for the two on the Citadel that are bugged and impossible for me to complete as a result.

I'm at the point where I'm assaulting the Cereberus base, and my total military strength is just under 5,000. That makes my EMS far worse.

Without MP, I don't see how I'm getting my score up another 5,000 before the end.

Question: Do I stop and whole hog into MP until I can improve my multiplyer or do I just soldier on because I really can gain about 5000 readiness from this point out?

MP raises your readiness by 2% every set of matches that you win. Siri did a couple for like an hour and had all the points she needed to get the "happy end"

She was at like 3000 points when she did the first round of endings, then did MP for 1-2 hours and then had enough to get the Shepard lives end.

It's not a grind fest, not sure why there's such apprehension over it. MP is super fun (there's private matches now so go alone or grab some Kaidanites from the MP group). You just need 4000 points and certain triggers done correctly in the game to get it. 5000 is your failsafe in case you think you missed something.

Just wanted to pop in and say I just unlocked the Paramour achievement with Kaidan on my ManShep. I'm so elated... blissful... ecstatic... and overjoyed! I really can't find one word to express my happiness right now. He called my manshep handsome. 

I'm gonna go back to playing now, haha. Thank you BioWare for all of this, I'm so thankful.

Yeah 5000 is needed if Anderson is killed immediately and I think you have to do multiplayer for that. 4000 if you "save" Anderson, but I like to be safe in case I missed something up until that point.

Doesn't he only come back in Act II? So after Priority: Tuchanka (meaning you have to do Palaven, Sur'Kesh, and Tuchanka, at minimum, to get him back).

I didn't think the optional missions mattered, except that some can be disabled as you advance the plot (by completing "priority" missions).

It might be because I have a imported romance but I got a line of dialogue where Kaidan asked Shepard to wake him up next time she gets out of bed. In other words they are already sleeping together. La siiiigh. But yes the actually romance scene doesn't start until Point of No Return. You know 'I hope we don't die sex.'

I got that impression too.

@c0wb0ycliche, he kissed her hand at Apollo, if that counts. But headcanon tells me there were things happening off scene.

It might be, but I thought it was implied that they were picking back up when they had their date on the Citadel. Kaidan mentions "benefits" when he kisses her hand, and she gets that look and says "back to the Normandy ASAP" or something like it. To me, that sounds like they were pretty well back "on" if you know what I mean.

So, it wouldn't surprise at all if that line is a reference to them being together before we get the "last night" romance scene. At least, that's what my head canon says.

Oh, I'm not afraid of the MP per se. I do enjoy it. It's just so intense that I can't run more than one or two matches in a row without needing a focus break. Plus, I'm the only one at home during the day with a small toddler, and he is prone to randomly interrupting me. I have a hard time being confident enough to jump into a 15-20 minute match when I'm not sure if I'll actually get 15-20 minutes without interruption.

So, it's more of a time issue than it is a fear or lack of desire to play it issue.

I have a much easier time finding ways to pause or stop the SP game at random places.

am i the only one who, during the date, starting laughing at the hand smooch? all i could see was raphael sbarge in the recording room making that noise lol.

i also thought that kaidan was a little idk less broody than in ME1. oo oo and the, are you trying to flirt, part was just great lol. i laughed. actually now that i think about it i laughed at a lot of the romance parts. i think its because all i could see was raphael sbarge sitting there saying those lines. i loved every minute of it either way
