We heard enough about it in ME2 to make it sound pretty important
But here I always thought we were gonna make a sun go supernova in ME3, too.

Mordin's death was pretty painful to watch
I think next time I'll try to keep Mordin alive and side with the Salarians instead.

I like the original ending (drew's ending)CrimsonNephilim wrote...
It seems that they threw that whole plot out after Drew Karpyshyn left bioware...sigh...that just made a lot of foreshadowing in ME1 and ME2 (especially ME2) completely obsolete.
it makes more sense and its better way to end shepard's story
than those 3 ending <_<
I think I'm going to redo my me1 playthrough to save mordinAnnaka wrote...

1. Kill wrex in virmire
2. wreav = dumb enough to be fooled
3. get both krogan and salarian help

You want to be heartbroken? I watched a video of when you betray Mordin to stop him from dispersing the cure and shoot him in the back. He drags himself all the way to the console but dies before reaching it. It's horrible. What kind of sick bastard would do that??

So...I thought I would finish my playthrough tonight...finally, after dragging my feet hardcore. Get to the part where I'm supposed to assault the Illusive mans base...I only have 3486 EMS...WTF?! I've scanned every single galaxy and have 100% for all of them, did every side mission except the Eden Prime one (I forgot) and 2 that never would pop up and let me scan for them so I never got to turn those inNow what do I do? I thought I didn't have to do MP to get the 4k I needed?

Ugh, so much about this game makes me sadface!
I know I'm rather new to this thread, but I just wanted to say that I experienced the same problems you went through. I managed to successfully scan and gather everything, but my EMS was still well below 4,000 without hopping on multiplayer. Yet, my husband put a few hours into multiplayer, and his galactic readiness is around 80%, with an EMS of over 3,000 before even starting the Ardat-Yakshi mission on Kallini. We were both like, "Whut?"
I'm not sure if this issue is a bug or what, but it bothers me tremendously. Of course, I'm not against multiplayer; I've played Gears of War 3's horde mode several times. It just really frosts my cookies knowing that my EMS blows but my husband's EMS will be far superior because of multiplayer. Thankfully, the Kaidan scenes in-game were just so...
In other news, hello fellow Kaidan fans! I must admit that I've been lurking this page for weeks, but didn't have the quad to create an account and post. Hopefully I can still indulge in Kaidan goodness even though a bunch of us have already beaten the game.

I have just done Palavan and some side quests. I've got one score of like 680 and then another of 1300 something. I'm guessing the 50% readiness thing doulbles the 680? Am I correct?
So if I get it to like 75% with MP, it will add another 25% of my current score which is 680?

Im confused as to what number had to be over 4000 heh
Total Military Strength or Effective Military Strength? If its the latter... Im screwed lol
Does anyone remember the loyalty mission for Tali in ME2? I remember there was a vid where a mother was telling her little one goodbye... I seem to remember it being Jona... if Im remembering right... poor kid :/
I loved the date but now Im seeing what you guys were saying... he doesnt even talk much after that /sighs... and like a few of you said.. my Shep is so off screen slapping him as he makes the comments about EDI and the Assari girls lol. *narrows her eyes*
So erm... what do I do to join MP with you guys heh.
Im going to have to get over my nervousness I think.

But yeah. I mean I did play some multiplayer but still. I went in with like 5400 readiness. Who's a badass who didn't use a guide or anything? THIS GIRL.

I started playing ME3 with the SE my husband got and when I got the extra dialog with Kaidan before the reaper attack I was so happy, lol. I havent beat it yet and honestly I have no desire to do so ...
I wanted to play MP this weekend, but thanks to Amazon, I wont be able to. Next weekend I got family over so wont happen then either. Gah
Really love the Kaidan romance so far. I actually rushed through the main missions and lost some missions on the Citadel, so I had to reload, hehe. But it was woth it! Loved him being all protective of the council. So yummy

The GaW is a multiplier. By default, it's 50%, which means your EMS (the only value that matters) will always be half your total readiness.
Meaning you'd need readiness to be above 8,000 (possibly as high as 10,000) to get the so-called perfect ending. Which seems nearly impossible without touching multiplayer.
If you touch multiplayer, the required readiness drops rapidly (somewhere around 6,000 if you simply raise it to 65%, for example).

Thats the plan anyway.
@silverpearl was that with MP aswell?
Sorry to be a pain but it the EMS score the one that effects the endings if I dont do MP? Or is it the total war number?
The guide isnt clear at all. Or maybe I'm just stupid

The EMS score is the one you should care about. I had to figure it out for myself too. I thought I had a high number and then I figured out it was the EMS one that matters

All I can say is I can't get a better ending and Bioware doesn't add one...I won't be buying Bioware games at full price and certainly not another collectors edition. If I buy them at all. I've been a fan for quite a while and I really find myself very disappointed with the endings, especially when the different endings based on your choices was so hyped.
I just can't get over how disappointed I feel. I mean I would have been ok with losing the relays and everything as long as one ending had them all sticking together, even if it was on some foreign planet....here's hoping Bioware does something.

Thanks, was getting confused, in the guide they call it readiness level not EMS.
