What we really got was some bizarre, emotionless thing. I actually feel like I had a bad dream that the game ended that way.

Yup, the Lost fanrage was understandable because of all the plotholes, but character relationships and issues were all pretty much resolved by the end, which was why I was happy with it.Little Miss Angel wrote...

I was thinking the same thing when I finished playing. I have seen Lost, I agree a few things weren't explained. I remember the outcry when it ended, at the time I didn't understand why people were so upset. I got the closure I wanted, and the great arcs for the characters. I too was emotionally satisfied. When I finished ME3, I was confused at first... then just empty. I didn't feel much of anything.

I still feel empty. All I want is Shepard to be reunited with his his love interest and his friends. It doesn't even need to be a happy ending for this to happen.
Or at least an epilogue. AT LEAST an epilogue. I think we deserve one...

I don't know if anyone posted anythign like this yet so if you haven't finished the game don't click on this link, but it was so emotionally charged i played through Chronos again just so I could record it because for some reason you can't save just before the final battle

Also, I agree with what you said before Oddlyotter, about a sad ending being fitting. When Thane said that prayer for my Shep, I realized she was going to die. Then, after Anderson died, I completely expected my squadmates (Kaidan and Garrus) to arrive all battered and broken. Maybe Kaidan would go to Shep's side and hold her one last time as Garrus sets off the Crucible at the console Anderson seemed to be using before. Then perhaps they would realize the citadel would be destroyed if they set it off and they'd die together. Sad, but I pictured that would be satisfying to me.

The ending felt like I was smoking some really, really strong drugs. The whole thing is bizzare. How did Anderson end up in the same damn place? So the people I had with me just magically made it out while a big bright white light beamed me up to the middle of nowhere with dead bodies and keepers. It's just like a really bad, strange, not explain anything sort of ending! Were the writers smoking something? What the hell!! Where is the logic behind any of this?

In Mass effect 1 and 2 I had these overwhelming feelings of joy as they ended. As Sovereign and the collector base exploded I felt these chills go through me as I saw the Normandy soaring off. I was building the same high in Mass Effect 3 except I was sobbing and laughing along with it. Then the ending happened and I just sat there with this 'wtf?' look on my face.
