Then, after Anderson died, I completely expected my squadmates (Kaidan and Garrus) to arrive all battered and broken. Maybe Kaidan would go to Shep's side and hold her one last time as Garrus sets off the Crucible at the console Anderson seemed to be using before. Then perhaps they would realize the citadel would be destroyed if they set it off and they'd die together. Sad, but I pictured that would be satisfying to me.

What we really got was some bizarre, emotionless thing. I actually feel like I had a bad dream that the game ended that way.

Delurking here for a moment to say that I absolutely agree. The fact that my squadmates 'magically' transport to the Normandy is probably my biggest beef with the endings. Do you think after Kaidan left her on the Normandy @ the beginning of ME2 he was going to EVER leave her side in that situation?  Cause I sure don't. And what you described there of the squadmates supporting each other (specifically Kaidan, since this is a Kaidan-thread  !) at the end would have been a beautiful image. Instead, I feel like it's all just a big glitchy ending?

PLUS, they freaking had to add Kaidan say "I'm going to fight like hell to hold you again."  (...except I'm running away to the Normandy??)

Yeah, it was the "I'm going to fight like hell..." line that made me convinced he would show up. But instead he's... running away? I'm so baffled by how and why the Normandy is flying away somewhere that's obviously not the Sol system.

You can start a romance with Kaidan in ME3? Is it alot different?
I only imported my ME1 romance with him. The endings made me so depressed that I dont feel like playing another playtrough.

Just gonna echo the things many of you have said before:

Amazing game. A sweet, hot, loving and steamy romance with Kaidan. And mere minutes after he and my FemShep were sprinting towards the teleporter, Kaidan is on the Normandy flying through a Relay conduit?

The Sol relay is out by Pluto, isn't it? Why were they that far out? What was Kaidan doing there?

I need answers damn it!

The lines are a bit different, but it's basically the same. You can check out the m/m romance on YouTube, since it's always a new romance, and I don't think the f/m lines would vary.

Thank you for the good cry... I can't believe this was cut from the game. When Anderson mentioned family and kids, I just imagined Kaidan/FShep and little babies running around. 

I wish there was a version where Anderson talks to M!Shep had something about being a father. Is there? That would just wreck me.

Aww Kaidan says "I love you Shepard" in this to FemShep. <3 ManShep doesn't get an "I love you" line from Kaidan :[ but it's still good!

What would be the reason I didn't get that extended scene with Anderson? I mean I think I'm glad I didn't because I was able to keep from crying through that scene, but I think the extended one would have done me in.

Thanks for the link... wow I cannot fight back the tears today. I really, really wish this was in the game instead of the shortened version we have now...

Been forcing myself to finish the game in spite of knowing the endings.

It's not easy because I keep having to remind myself to be very careful about my emotions. :| (Wear 'em on a sleeve and all.)

How many actual conversations are there with Kaidan? I've noticed a few glitched ones DAII style where the audio bugs out and also the first time you go to speak to him after getting him back didn't even play for me at all. I didn't notice until later when I had to reload an old save...

Just adding in my appreciation for Kaidan and Femshep. I absolutely loved how their relationship played out through ME3. The ending though I want to cry so much, poor Kaidan didn't want to lose her a second time. Instead he gets to flee away on the normandy to some remote planet without her.

I haven't finished my first playthrough,I'm really trying to take my time so that maybe I could try to get one of the good endings,assuming there is any.

I really do have to give it up for Bioware on the romance scenes,Bravo! spot on.Each one was really beautiful.
