I don't know, personally I found the non-cut scene conversations adorable too (the "next time, wake me" and "soft place" bits in particular
All in all, they did a bloody fantastic job with the Shenko romance imo.

They talk about it during the conversation on Cerberus, Kaidan also asks Shep in one of the Zaeed-style dialouges why he didn't wake him up after "leaving", so obviously they do sleep together alreadyjijeebo wrote...
It was especially agonising during the redunkulously long period between the Citadel romance-initiator and the actual romance scene, between which there was very little indication that my mshep and Kaidan were even an item...
It was! Both the sex scene and final goodbye scene were justjijeebo wrote...
The payoff was worth it though, and the final mission interactions were beautiful.

We really did have a great romance comparatively, and our love scene was by far the best (sure, Liara showed "side boob", but we got the "marine motorboat." We win!) My husband and I played our SP campaigns side by side (he romanced Tali), and we both hit our Cerberus assaults at the same time. He had time to watch his Tali cut scene, go stir dinner, and come back to watch my Kaidan cut scene over my shoulder as it was just getting going (and make fun of it as I'm trying to watch it!).
I don't know, personally I found the non-cut scene conversations adorable too (the "next time, wake me" and "soft place" bits in particular). The build-up was great too - he acted like a douche in the beginning, but it actually cracked me up (as did the Horizon bit) because he's always been so damn level-headed, but FemShep made him crack! And when she put him in his place, he didn't sulk, he manned up.
All in all, they did a bloody fantastic job with the Shenko romance imo.
LOL @ "marine motorboat". Thanks for making me laugh when I'm feeling so down.
Also,
I don't ever think I got the convo that included "next time, wake me."
When did you get this? And how the heck did I miss it?

Yeah, that was probably the only time Samantha Traynor told me Kaidan wanted to see me. I got excited and rushed over there... saved... and he just told me he wanted a snack on the Citadel. o_Onoxpanda wrote...
Huh i just got a new convo with kai that i didnt get at all in my first playthrough, after rescuing jacob. Sat in the crew quarters (unromanced shep if that makes a difference) and he starts off by flirting asks a bit about TIM and then says jokers been offering him tips for poker. Last playthrough i rushed to the citadel date scene asap, im wandering now if i put it off a while longer, will he have more convos?
So I reloaded and triggered the real conversation. I was worried for a second, haha!
DDD:
I think there has been a terrible terrible glitch with my game. I'm just about to start Thessia and besides the Citadel date I haven't had a 'real' convo with Kaidan

... synthetic Kaidan looks trippy! Green eyes
I dunno. I just reloaded the Citadel save 4 times to see what endings I would get. I am desensitized now to these endings. The first time hurt and was depressing as hell... but now, I think I found the courage to make another playthrough. Because I love the other 99% of the game, so I'll just ignore the ending ever happens... and I want to relive those Kaidan moments, damnit!

I just finished the Merge ending.

I'm only playing again for my Garrus romance. I have heard it's spectacular.

Did you have to recreate from scratch? Or could you actually import?
I imported a shep that I had fooled around with in ME2. I thought she looked better. I'm disappointed that I can't use my original femshep.
From scratch, she was my ME1 so she didnt import but this was the closest i could get her

It was one of the "easter egg" convos, not an actual cut scene. Still fabulous, nonetheless!

Yeah, me too. That was one of the best moments of the series. The other times I teared up were, (1) when I thought Grunt was going to die, (2) Kaidan's goodbye (I can't lose you again), (3) Garrus' goodbye, and (4) during the destruction of the relays.

I did. It was in the script as well, was hoping that it was going to be in the game itself. Alas, it is not. Surprised? Not at all <_<

Too bad I haven't found those videos floating around yet! I haven't heard the "Mmm...perfect" line either, but you can get the "soft place to land" line during the romance scene before the point of no return. If you have a save before the point of no return, tell Kaidan "thank you" instead of "I love you," and you'll hear it.

I teared up at nearly all of the goodbyes, and all of those points you mentioned plus Thane's prayer zomg.. that made me lose it, was heartbreaking!!

I beat Mass Effect 3 at about 2:30 in the morning.
...and I've had all day to mope and sigh and grumble and rage about the ending.
Yay.
The Kaidan scenes were beautiful, though, and I'm very happy I remembered to record the love scene and the goodbye scenes for rewatching and more sighing.
