Yup, you're good to go. If for some reason your last paragon/renegade conversation option with TIM is blurred out, hit the renegade interrupt. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get there.

Good luck. I guess :(

Thanks and wish me luck :crying:

One of the most beautiful scenes:

This is a BEAUTIFUL picture.  I absolutely loved this scene.  Kaidan is so tender and the hand this is hecka romantic.  I'll need to do that with my next GF.

It's a bit old, (faces look different and Sheps old armor) but I'm still using the Kaidan, mShep and Liara picture! It's my PC wallpaper and google cover as well :P My A-team in ME3.

They were great, weren't they? Towards the end I started taking Garrus instead so I could overload the crap out of banshees.

In ME1 it was always Kaidan and Garrus.
In ME2 it was Garus and Jacob (who funnily enough after one turn down line ended up being a good bro to my femshep)
In ME2... one guess who the 2 are that go everywhere with me :P
I will have to look up some of the other wall papers. Im using the femshep standard ME3 atm. It NEEEEDS more Kaidan

I'm making Wallpapers right now, too! Going through the game again recording cutscenes. Right now I'm using an old ME2 wallpaper of the Normandy flying somewhere, but I Photoshopped out the Cerberus logos and edited the color scheme from Cerberus yellow to Alliance blue. Not perfect, but it'll hold until I get one of my Shep and Kaidan.
I'd be happy to snap some shots for anyone who wants a specific scene for a wallpaper! Although it'd be with my own Shepard, so... That, and they'd be from the Xbox 360 version (the version I have), which has worse lighting than the PC version (but I usually fix that without a problem on Photoshop).

So, I think I'm going crazy. Everywhere today, I keep hearing things that connect back to Mass Effect. In history, my prof. gave a lecture about the American 9/11 attacks, in which he discussed conspiracy theories and he even mentioned indoctrination at one point. In my Lord of the Rings class (Yes, a class dedicated entirely to LotR books, movies, and lore, I'm such a nerd) we discussed the entity of evil, whether or not evil truly was evil or if they were doing what they thought needed to be done in order to survive (reminded me of the Reapers' arguments) and the act of a higher power controlling both the sides of good and evil, and how good and evil is just a cycle that inevitably repeats itself.
During Calculus, I was trying to recall the different types of triangles, listing them off as I went. When I asked my friend to pitch me a few that I had forgotten, her first response was, "Catalyst?" and her second was "Crucible?" (Neither of which are types of triangles, just to clarify, she was just throwing out words).
The weirdest part was during my Photography class. We had a guest speaker, an Asian guy, and the first thing I noticed about him was how his hairdo reminded me of Kai Leng's. Then the speaker introduced himself as Kai (never said a last name).
Yeah, I think I'm going insane.

As for teams...
ME1: Kaidan and Ashley, and either Garrus or Liara after Virmire.
ME2: Miranda and usually Samara, but occasionally Kasumi.
ME3: Kaidan and Liara for the most part, Garrus before Kaidan was available and I'd interchange Liara with others depending on the mission.

Ugh the banshees <_< I tried other squaddies, but if I replaced Kaidan I missed his reave and overload, if I replaced Liara I missed her singularites and stasis, ohhh stasis, it's so cheap :P I played as a Sentinel as well so had 2 overloads. Hated the missions where you were forced to take certain squadmates, like the Cerberus base with EDI, missed singularity so much lol

ME1 was always Kaidan and Wrex. ME2 was more of a mixture though.

I got the closure I wanted with the "I love you" scene.

I'll pretend everything else didn't happen.

Does anyone know what happens if you do the renegade interrupt when Kaidan is talking about his family back in Vancouver? I believe this occurs during the first time you have a conversation with him after you recruit him as a squad member.

I dare not try it. :x

So I'm watching my bf play and he just had the "date" with Kaidan. In his game, Liara is his love interest... so I thought it would be cool to see it with a guy, especially since he plays renegade! But a lot of the dialogue is the same and it plays that romance music... it was really strange and awkward, actually. I would think that if you weren't on the romance path with him or already chose someone else, it would have been different. I get that they made him an option for both male/female, which I have no problem with whatsoever, but... it just seems like they should have done something to change it depending on the choices up to that point (like LI choice and how you've treated that character.)

I did it once and reloaded. Shep gets all cold and interrupts him saying "Use it! All that anger, save it for the Reapers." Something along those lines. I didn't really like the way it played out.

Hey guys, I've seen people say that Kaidan has a line somewhere that implies the night he brings you that liquor so you can drink together isn't the first time you've, erm, gotten intimate with each other, but I don't remember ever getting it - can anyone tell me what it was, just in case I never get it?

oooo teams - for my adept and my vanguard
ME1 Kaidan and Garrus (and Wrex every so often for hilarity's sake)
ME2 Garrus and Kasumi (I really got to like her. Grunt was fun though: I am KROGAAAAAAN! Whump).
ME3 Not sure yet but Garrus is pretty high on the list. Kaidan, once I get him back I suppose.

I've stopped playing the main game - I think I've lost the will to play it. Running round like a maniac in MP. Galactic readiness is 105%!

Shame there's no krogan squadmate in ME3.  I find them soooo funny.  I love playing a krogan in MP - or even just playing with one on the team.

Once I get bored of MP (and I was getting bored of the demo version), I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe go back to The Witcher 2 or finally install LA Noire which I bought when it was released for PC last November. I bought it and then got caught up in the anticipation for ME3. Then the endings happened and, well now I'm back to eying it up and wondering what it's like.

I actually really enjoyed LA Noire. You should at least give it a shot.
And I didn't know you get get above 100% readiness, I played all day once and it never went above it.

Thanks for the details. I expected that would happen, which is why I didn't want to do it lol.

That reminds me of how you could make Kaidan more "renegade" in ME1 by having him adopt a more xenophobic view... but I guess that didn't transfer over into 2 and 3?

Oh, and another Kaidan line I really liked in the game was when Shepard was watching the videos of him on Project Lazarus at TIM's base.  Shepard thinks he's a VI, but Kaidan says Shepard is "real enough for me." AWWWW

My favorite combination of powers in the game: Liara's singularity, Kaidan's Cyro Blast, and my soldier Shep's Biotic Slam (the only biotic move I can learn, not that I'm complaining because I freakin' love it!) all in one move. I can now say I know what it's like to have frozen husk snowing down on me.

I got that feeling playing Liara's equivalent Citadel discussion, the romance music was playing and the dialogue and tone were very personal. Luckily, I had just committed to Kaidan's rekindling a moment prior, which I think detered any of Liara's ninjamancing attempts.

Yeah, we can't really influence characters in the same way... I guess it was just to much work and that's why they started the auotdialogue. But as I'm watching my bf play, most of the lines from everyone else are the same, no one really responds differently to Shepard. And the "paragon" and "renegade" options turn out to be pretty similar as well. It doesn't seem like it matters which one you choose as long as you're consistent. It's kindof disappointing to watch.

I was worried that Kaidan would always hit on you, regardless of your gender or prior love interest. It seems like it only happens if you talk to him first before the love interest you want.

I'm glad I'm not seeing too much uproar about that, but then again, the people who would be angry about it probably saved Ashley instead of Kaidan anyway.

Just a long as you achieve this score before you head to the Illusive Man's base, you're fine. I learned that the hard way. Before I went there, I had an EMS of 3500... but before I headed to earth, I played MP to increase it to 5,000+. I still didn't get the best ending.

The game checks your EMS score before the Illusive Man's base and uses that score, regardless of how much you play MP after that point. If you want the best ending, get your points up before TIM's base. :]

I think I'm past being angsty about the ending and are now at a point where I'm just laughing at it all (as long as I avoid that cut dialogue with Anderson). Will play ME3 solely for Kaidan though. The look he gives Shepard during the romance scene, when he says that he lied about coming up for just a quick drink? Freaking adorable.

As for squads..
ME1: Kaidan and Wrex
ME2: Any sort of combination of Kasumi, Mordin and Samara.
ME3: Kaidan and Vega after the Citadel. Hitting Brutes and Banshees with double doses of maxed out Carnage and a Reave/Overload, followed by two grenades to finish things off? Glorious.

Just listening to the ME3 soundtrack, Why does Clint Mansell get the main credit? From the credits he only composed 2 out of the 25 tracks.  Also does anyone know which number the 'date' music is?

Edit: TOP, old demo pic :P
