I have to be honest, I don't like the indoctrination theory at all. It's not that it's bad (in fact, had it been written into the game, it would have been kickass), but I don't think it was implied and that we're all just so desperate we're grasping at straws trying to make sense of anything. The endings were so bad, we're stating to REALLY dig into every little line/action to possibly give credence to something we want to make sense. I really don't think this is what BW was going for. Not to try and bring you all down or anything, I'm just not buying into it.

And since the community keeps trying to make it plausible, and it has become our kind of community idea, I'd hate it even more if BW came forward and was all "That's what we were doing all along. It's indoctrination! Everything you guys were saying is correct."

BW hasn't really given people a choice.  Sure, it's a coping mechanism, but if it gives people hope then that's totally fine with me.  I think the boards have looked the teensiest bit brighter since that theory emerged and that's a very good thing.  Hopefully the creativity of the members and the various campaigns for an ending DLC will get EA/BW moving.

I knew the endings, but its an emotional slap in the face when you see it. It hurts
And I haven't seen Shepard alive, although I had over 5000 war assets. It seems so unfinished. I'm confused and unhappy with this.

ahahaha Yeah.. I saw this rant tweeked for Guild Wars, I have to admit, seeing it applied to the game series I love most in the world made me laugh so hard, especially when I was so sad about what had happened to the end..

the tweets give me hope, not the ending.. if they fix this and give us all our happy(ish) endings there shall be much rejoicing.. and reading all of your theories in this forum has given me incentive to go back and replay again, i'll just stop after all the goodbyes

*BIG HUGS* Welcome to the club.. however.. give it a day and you'll be right here with the rest of us! If you're assets were @ 5k but  you're Galaxy at war was only at 50% then you only had half the number to go into battle with, Try playing some multiplayer until you're at 100% and you'll survive

You didn't see Shep alive? Are you sure it was your EMS that was at 5K? You chose to destory, yes?

War Assets dont matter, only EMS. You need at least 4-5K EMS

I actually feel like playing ME3 again. Before I had zero desire to replay it again because of the last 5mins, but now I've rewritten it in my head it's all good.
Plus I just watched a video of renegade femshep and I can't miss that! (It was the Jacob romance, thank god I didn't romance him, there should have been a renegade interrupt to punch him in the face or that smug cow)
So tomorrow my day will be some ME3, which will involve my femshep just stalking the hospital.

Oh and just wondering, Do you guys choose renegade options with Kaidan when romancing him? I feel too harsh to do so lol My shepard is a complete cow to everyone expect her friends, I can tell you know she's going to hate James Vega... 
Ohh and another thing... So you can totally kill Kaidan/Ashley during the citadel coup... I feel like making a new save with Ashley alive so I can just gun her down... is that evil? 

I really should go to bed lol

Same here. I read the endings in the Prima guide and thought, "Pfft, everyone's just overreacting!". And you know what? It's been 24 hours since I've beaten the game and I'm still an emotional wreck. 

Did you have 5,000 war assets? Or 5,000 Effective Military Strength? EMS is what really matters. If you had 5,000 war assets, using the galactic readiness multiplyer your ending score would only be 2,500 (assuming it was at 50% and you didn't play MP).

To get the ending where Shep lives, you have to have 4,000 EMS (basically your war assets multiplied by galactic readiness percentage) and "save" Anderson (meaning that you shoot him, but you either, through renegade or paragon interrupts, convince TIM he's wrong which causes TIM to shoot himself or jump in front of your bullet). In order to "save" Anderson, you have to have taken every either Paragon or Renegade dialogue option with TIM in all conversations throughout the game and stayed consistent with them (no switching between Rene and Para, one or the other) starting with the conversation on Mars.
Without "saving" Anderson, you need an EMS of 5,000 or higher.
And you'll only get the Shep alive teaser scene if you choose Destroy, the red option on the right.

Could be a bug. I've seen other people say they've had an incredibly high EMS and chose destroy, but never got the breathing scene. You're not the only one dealing with this issue. I've had one citadel quest that bugged out and wouldn't complete and a dead DLC character from ME1 showing up to tell me off.

I had 5000 war assets. But this little scene when Shepard is breathing, is also not satisfying. (I watched it on youtube)

It was Balak from Bring Down the Sky. I killed him in ME1. Was shocked when he showed up again, but when I realized he was going to increase my war assets, I let him walk away. That's one bug I was happy to keep. =p

Slightly off-topic observation...

has anyone noticed and or counted how many times Shepard falls over something, off something, and generally flies haphazardly through the air? I swear its in the double digits.

I noticed that, I think when I finally thought about how much it happens I was on the Geth ship during the quest before Rannoch. Whatever armor Shep has, I definitely want a set now.

Actually... Dang, wouldn't a ME outfit be pretty dang awesome? The cosplayer trapped inside me is beginning to get ideas...


Anyone else think that FemShep looks a lot prettier in ME3? Mine, at least, hardly has any derpy faced moments anymore. Although I do miss the darker makeup and the auburn hair...

I didnt in my play thru and im wondering what the outcome is if I approve it
