I just finished my game and I have to say even though the ending was not what I hoped for/ expected I really loved the game. I choose the destroy option and I didnt think the ending was that bad ... It made no sense unless indoctrinated Shep imagines her crew being safe (kinda I guess) on same garden planet. Whatever. I just think that the game was amazing. Kaidan's romance ... I dont know if they could have made it any better, maybe more flirting/ kissing like in DA.
They sure played with my emotions, the deaths of Mordin, Legion especially after having the last talk with Anderson, I was in tears until the credits started to roll.

Way to go BioWare, made me cry on my birthday! Haha :P

@DLC  Only if they have voiceovers. I dont want no mute emergency fix, but thats imho.

I just watched the interview with Jessica and I was like OMG, if i closed my eyes i could hear Kaidan even though his speaking voice isnt exactly the same, and when he did some Kaidan dialouge I definitely squeed.

Did anyone get this scene in their game? I did Jacob's mission most recently, but that scene didn't trigger when I went to visit Kaidan afterwards. Did anyone get it later than directly after Jacob's mission?

I just hope I didn't miss out somehow. I'm trying to get as much content as possible out of one playthrough, and I really like that scene.

Yes I got it. Samantha said Kaidan wants to speak with me and the conversation about TIM started. It's easily one of the best conversations with him in the trilogy and closes his Cerberus arc so incredibely well it would be a shame if it bugged for some people.

Speaking of bugged Kaidan dialogues, I was wondering, do you guys think it's a bug that you can have a dinner with Kaidan even before you get the email? Since you're suppoused to get the email after you do 1 mission after he's back on the Normandy, and I did it this way but I hear that you can just find him on the CItadel right after the coup ends.

Also, do you think it's a bug that he isn't on the Citadel anymore after the dinner?

I just kind of think all Kaidan dialogues post-coup are weirdely paced. You can have first convo after recruitement, the dinner, the TIM convo, so it's quite alot but many people rushed it all early in Act 2 (including me) and then it seemed he didn't have that much to say.

I go this scene. You ge this scene when you find him in the crew quarters. I dont remember when I got it, shortly after I picked him back up. First I get the one where he talks about hearing from his mom, the I did a couple missions (side missions) where he wont talk to you or only auto talk and then I couldnt find him in his usual spot, but in the crew quarters. Thats how it went for me

I got it aswell, straight after Jacobs mission. Love that scene. I tended to do all the side missions at once before any main missions though.

I went to the date also before the email, in my NG+ I'll wait. Didnt want to risk not unlocking the romance.

Yeah, it's better to leave the date until you actually get the email so you don't run out of Kaidan's interactions too soon before the ending. Plus there's a conversation with Kaidan after he's back on Normandy

Yeah, I never got an email from Kaidan for that, I wonder if you're supposed to.  Second playthrough, I'm going to wait until I get one, or at least wait a few missions before finding him at the cafe because it felt too soon/oddly paced!  (but hey, I was waiting for him to come back for half the game, you can't blame me for rushing off to talk to him whenever I had a chance ;P)

That scene is tied to Rescue Ex-cerberus scientist mission. You get it right after that mission not related to Jacob I think.

It is one of the few cinematic convos after recruit with Kaidan. One right after getting into Normandy about his family. One you linked above and I guess one for the ending and of course romance scene. Rest of his convos like other crewmates, barking convos. Barking conversations now have several steps so it is better to click on him untill you get same bark in a row.

After that scene you also get a bark conversation from Kaidan about going out which leads to e-mail then date scene I think. At least they make sense in that order.

I also find Kaidan's not being on Citadel after date a bit weird. Tho' only ones I saw around are Liara(who doesn't talk after his special friendship/romance convo), James (probably due to my unused convo trees, I avoid him if it is possible), Joker and EDI in several places and Zaeed if he is loyal/alive.

Garrus is on the Citadel in the Holding area, Cortez is too if you tell him to go and watch the shuttles fly by the docking area. Havent seen Traynor though. I found Tali having conversation with Turians twice. Pretty much everyone I have found on the Citadel at least once for a conversation. Actually Liara twice.

The ones I mentioned are usually show up in Citadel in every visit. I can't be sure about Joker/EDI I saw them around shops, in purgotary several times. I think other than Zaeed and Liara those appereances tied to conversations they have.

Everyone except Javik & Kaidan was alwasy showing up on the Citadel each visit for me.

I will write to Jessica asking her if she could ask/inform the team of possible Kaidan bugs (post-coup). Could be worth it, especially if these are indeed bugs and BioWare doesn't realize they are there.

She is bugged and does not always appear - even when she survivied ME2 - never showed up for me either.

I too wondered about crew mates on the Citadel, most of them showed up for me around the Citadel in various places except for Kaidan :( - just the once for the date.

And as for the clicking dialogue - my fave - when he asked my Shep why she had left in the morning without waking him up

*sigh* Guys, remember when Sbarge did his Kaidan voice for a Shepard proposal. *sobsob wishes for days before the ending was confirmed and I could imagine little biotic Shepard-Alenkos*

Wait, when was this?

And I'm still a firm believer of not giving up yet! BW's tweets have been oddly...evasive, regarding anything about the endings. I'm sticking with the indoctrination theory, because I know BW is better than this and would be the ones to write something that dynamic. Hold out hope, we might get our biotic babies yet!

If it's worth anything, Anderson seems to think Shepard would make a good mother :crying:

He said "Marry me Shepard" during the BioWare interview that Jessica Merizan did.

I also remember Jessica saying "Now someone is going to go and mod that into the game and ruin everything". I thought that meant that a proposal was already in the game but since it wasn't....maybe the real ending we are all hoping for will have it???? :wizard: Oh I just got my hopes up again and I really shouldn't do that to myself <_<

...Oh, gosh, I hope so... My hopes are already too high :?

What would happen if Shepard and Kaidan got married? Would Kaidan call her "Alenko" then instead of Shepard? :P I know they have to have everyone call her/him Shepard, but it's sort of silly when you think about it that no one ever refers to Shep by her/his first name, even the person who announces their eternal undying love for you.

I think Bioware pokes fun at you for this when Jacob's wifey wants to name her kid after you, and by that she means Shepard.:P

According to some players Kelly only appears if you had dinner with her on ME2, in Docking Bay area.

A tip: Always check your map on Citadel. It shows important persons (like your crewmates or mission related NPCs) on each floor. That trick also works in Normandy if you can't find Kaidan.

Ok Yoshi you heard Ashley in your nightmare as well as black fuzzy figures?? That makes me feel a little better.
About the endings I still think some dude off the streets high on LSD wrote the endings and BW was like OMG that is brilliant!! Oooooh lets copy Deus ex HR, except I have a lot of respect for that game and BW failed on trying to copy them.

No I never got the talk after the Cerberus scientist team which irritates me but I will go back and do it. I wish they had more dialouge scenes with him tbh. I felt we had more with crew on ME2. Does anyone feel like that?
One thing that bothered my brother was the lack of convo between people just standing around. Like the crew giving that cook **** or them saying hey thanks commander. It was like everyone just kinda stood around not talking. WEIRD!

I'm still upset and I finished the game 4 days ago. So weird a game could do that to me. At least we are being heard and not everyone thinks we are a bunch of whiny babbies.

I actually couldn't find him one time and was like "where did he go???", turns out he was sitting in a chair in the corner of his room and I didn't notice him xD

Weirder thing a guy walks around in Crew Deck with red circle on him but you can't talk with him. In general crew is more silent in ME3, including Samantha. I nearly wished Kelly was there to nag about my unread messages/no messages to break that glooming silence.

To me it felt like we have more talk with crew in ME3. Tho most being bark conversations maybe makes you fell they are less.

I only lost him when he were in Engineer room. Ken and Gabby not as fun as their ME2 selves so not going into Engineering deck much... also knowing Jack ain't in his lair. Same prevents me from entering Liara's room which reminds me huge gap created by lack of Miranda. I wish we could have some friendship talk with her.
